Just spent 45 mins following your excellent tutorial with my own NGC700 on Siril and it decided to shut it self down///will restart another day but it's a good learning curve.
This is incredibly helpful. I know Photoshop very well, and this is a different animal. I match your results very well with my own DWARD result until after star removal. My image at that point has almost no detail visible. The inverse MTF values for me are very different from yours. I went ahead and did some stretches and got an image I like. Thank you for this!! I am now ready to process several other FITS files from other shots.
Thanks a lot for this tutorial! i have a quick question: is there a reason why, at the end of the process, you save with "saving as unique file" option ? cause i have noticed that (don't know why)this reduce image size (in my case from original 3840x2160 no cropped to 808x454) ; while saving in classic way preserves original size. thanks for your answer :-)
Another good tutorial. I have a problem with starnet not working, as discussed on dwarf2 forum. But also my photometric calibration never works either. Do you think i have a system problem, that's causing it not to connect, thx
Its possible. But it depends on your image parameters as well. If youre using the Dwarf II, the image parameters should be focal length 51.7 and pixel size 1.50
Ok for £500 it's not bad but you can get an az gti for £250 and a cheap canon dslr for £50 and and cheap 200mm lens for about £150 and a shutter release for £20 and still get better results then this because I have this gear and my results are much better and have more detail and colour
I'm just getting started with the Dwarf II and Siril. I'm having a lot of fun and I really appreciate your videos. Thanks.
Glad you like them!
I will look into this, haven't done post processing yet. I uploaded a DWARF II video with Bodes Galaxy today.
👍🏼

Sorry to hear about that! But I'm glad you enjoyed it! Hope you can try again another day😄
Excellent work, I had my doubts about the Dwarf II but after seeing this video i think I'll look into it.
👍🏼
Thanks for another great tutorial.. Haven’t done any post processing yet, but your videos should sure help me to get started at some point.
I hope it'll help you a good bit👍🏼

That’s amazing. I’d be very happy with that image
Beautiful

nice!
Very nice tutorial, thank you for that. I see that your focus is near perfect. How did you achieve that?
No autofocus, just zoom in on a bright star, not planet, a star, and then press the plus and minus until it's perfectly sharp
Does Dwarf II support live zoom?

How many exposures did you take and how the stacked image came that clear? I did 200 exposures but the stacked image is much more noisy
999 exposures
whenever I click the scripts it always says that it failed, what do i dooooo helppp
Which script did you click on?
I actually figured out that Siril didnt have any authorization to create a new processed folder, my bad 😭
does dwarf II support live zoom
What do you mean by live zoom may i ask
it has a telephoto function in landscape mode. You can zoom into your object.

Okay but is yours battery powered? And rechargeable?
Not everyone likes the hassles of all that.
You can do this with the £322 version aswell
Even after that tutorial it still looks horrendously complicated.
Never easy til ya give it a shot😄
@@ScottCastrophotography Well, I now have my Dwarf 2 smart scope so I will be giving it a shot before long. I just have to take the images first!
@@andyhinds542 sounds good friend!
