Yeah, I don’t like when companies release a new version of a product with very little upgrades. So I get what he saying but the Avata 2 is a complete upgrade. You name it, and it has been upgraded. Better camera, less noise, etc. The only thing that’s annoying is that the they decided to force everyone to buy the motion controller. The normal controller is a separate option for now.
@silveriver9 i just made this video from what the leaks were telling me two weeks ago. Just my opinion. Im so happy they made it better than what i expected. And i wish i made money from yt lmao
All the people always advise to buy some other prebuild cinwewoop... but theyre missing that there actually peoply who like to have a rth button and an emergency stop, just a rtf package. The avata is not made to perform like a professional woop, its more like for people who like to buy something and just start flying in a more sporty way then with the other dji drones (like me lol). Sury dji sells the manual controller for more money and they should make a package wwhere you can actually choose the one you like. But i probably going to strart flying the drone with the motion controller and when im ready with learning on the simulator ill switch to the manual remote.
agreed and to add to your point, i like the avata due to it being RTF and less of a hassle than building your own drone. I don't know how to solder stuff and electric components of a drone and also pairing the remote controller to the drone etc. It is to complicated for me right now. I might get into the hobby once I purchase an Avata but for the mean time, I'm going to stick to the Avata for now
they are also forgetting that if someone is new to fpv as a whole they would need to buy their own controller and the current most recommended ones are roughly $400, in the end unless they are going super budget for everything its roughly the same cost buying all you need for dji vs getting all you need to get started with other conventional fpv drones with less convince of everything being prebuilt for you and extra safety features
@@KingTwin-uw3upnah, you can get a ELRS boxer for the same price as the last dji controller By the time its all said and done if going digital, its roughly the same cost to set up any other cinewhoop Only difference is performance and ecosystem If your going digital you pretty much get locked into an ecosystem of some sort either way with elrs and whatever vtx you choose Slight advantage would be if you plan to stick with 4s, 6s etc you can buy different drones and swap your vtx and batteries But thats not for everybody I think as long as this avata is quieter, it will be a winner in its own category
@@KingTwin-uw3up exactly, and the fact that all the "pro fpv" youtubers tell you its wayy cheaper then the avata.... well The avata1 ist about 600€ drony only i guess If you wamt to buy a cinewhoop with the same dji o3 air unit and with batteries (wich you mustly get less flight time out) you pay like 500-1000€ . Even if the rest of the Equipment is exactly the same, you still pay at least the same amount of money. Sure you have better flight charcteristics, but , like in my first comment, you mostely dont have gps ( at least for the cheaper drones), no assisted flight modes, no safety features, sensores and no gimbal!!! So in my eyes thesss comparisons /advisemnts are totally unnecessary.
Been flying for over 6 years when analog was the only option you had. Don’t understand all the DJI hate. This video is too biased, especially considering that the product hasn’t even been released yet 🤦🏻♂️the Avata is a great drone for its purpose.
Well said indeed sir. To add. One reason to not include the traditional remote is that it simply works better with the motion controller. Maybe this new one will be different.
No offense dude, but you're talking absolute smack. This is a HUGE upgrade. And don't get me wrong, I will fly my 5" 9/10 times over this drone. But still, the camera alone is a massive upgrade. I fly my drones with a DJI Action 4 and it's absolutely bonkers in low light. The Avata 2 will be the first drone where you don't need an external camera for professional shoots.
@@silveriver9 avata 2 is a POS made for noobs...siemore has a few drone videos if that. And not that many subs at all..just like me :) and silverriver you don't have any videos...so both of you are very wrong and this drone is made for noobs and noobs only.. if you want a real experience you buy a real cinewhoop....not a plastic POS made by dji that will break and you won't be able to fly most places because it has restrictions...and the list goes on. There are better cameras, and there are way better drones that do so much more than any premade plastic drone dji puts out... you guys are both haters and have nothing to back your claims up...except little experience with drones...so there...
Been flying FPV since 2013. Yeah. When just hovering was like wow! These drones now are amazing. Something for everyone and this drone looks promising to improve flight characteristics of the first one. Larger footprint and lower center area. There is a market for this drone and it is unique. The first one honestly did not fly too well with the sticks. I actually preferred the motion controller. And yeah. I prefer my own built 03 unit micro and cine. But admire the tech now available. Looking forward to this release to see what new innovations this drone and goggles will bring.
I dont have a lot of time to fly and have 0 time to recover a lost drone… I like the gps return to home and other safety features along with the rock solid reliability of DJI I think it will come down to price. We will see
Absolutely the dji has it’s place with rth and reliability. But i cant support them not including a real fpv controller with the drone… if its fairly priced, which it probably wont be, it could be a great fpv drone for flying in urban enviroments in eu with the c1!
I agree with you, you are right on. I won't buy the DJI Avata 2 since I can pretty much do everything my DJI Avata does. Prefer to leave The $1,000 in the bank earning interest. Thanks but no thanks DJI!
Yup, they are forcing us to buy that motion controller. This one handles better and makes less noise. It’s an upgrade all around. You will not need to attached a GoPro moving forward. It’s not like a 5”, only a 5” flys like a 5” tho 😁. Take care ✌️😎
well the dji action 4 camera basically is cool, lets hope they will make O4 air unit soon so we can fly this in a custom drone. Other than that the cool thing is that you can basically use it for some more risky scenarios as it has C1 label. Or you can say that you film everything with the avata even though you fly custom drones haha
Does having FPV goggles with front-facing cameras qualify as VLOS (Visual Line Of Sight), thus eliminating the need to have an observer in order to fly FPV (EU rule for "open" category)?
Yes, from a technical perspective it might(!) be disappointing (I mean it's just some leak by now) and sure it will be expensive as shit. But I think DJI is just trying to become Apple :) Offering a consumer friendly (expensive) out-of-the-box experience (maybe they will learn about the motion controller one day ;)). But a major plus is the certification, which could be a serious "feature" in 2024 for many people, depending on your country/landscape/local police. Wondering which other FPV manufacturers are in the mid of the process of certification.
Your comment on Gyroflow not being built in... Stabilization is Rocksteady... you just have the option to do stabilization after the fact with Gyroflow. Something that you could possibly correct in your video.
Yep, the whole video is pretty misinforming, most users won't know how to fly manual, hence why DJI include the stick. I would be surprised if the original Avata FPV controller doesn't work with this, so great it will save me money having to buy the newer version 3. He also forgot the mention it's the same sensor as the DJI Action 4 which is quite comparable to a gopro. I hope Melkar doesn't order the Avata 2, one less person in front of me in the queue
@@worldfromtheair sadly this is another video from someone that don't understand the world of a Mavic owner and the mental jump it takes to go into the fpv world
I mean the avata 2 pro view combo will probably cost more, so really just depends on your budget. If your from the EU the avata 2 is 100% worth it because of C1 class
you cant say: the old one was bad so the new one will be bad to, when they almost changed the hole thing. Thy have not eaven published offical specs, so what extra informations do you have to juge about it?
With DJI'S reputation for self flying camera drones I really don't think they will release an FPV hand controller package anytime soon. I thought I was good at flying drines until I got into FPV. They have to gate keep a bit. If they make an FPV package, thousands of clueless people will buy them without understanding what they bargained for with true acro flight.
If I have to buy the complete package again because I need the updated DJI Goggles 3 for almost another $700 bucks like the DJI Goggles 2 that many of us bought not even 2 years ago will most likely keep me from getting this newer DJI Avata 2.
Don't buy something that hasn't been released and I don't know how it works, but like me and invested a lot in other drones that everyone uses, I have to tell you hahaha, how ridiculous!
