This is a great rock band that started in the 70's. Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. They have had so many great hits such as "Barracuda", "Crazy on You", "Magic Man", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams" etc. In 2012 Ann & Nancy performed at the Kennedy Center Honors in a tribute to Led Zeppelin doing their classic song "Stairway To Heaven".
The Greatest Female Rockers of all time. Go on a journey! To see them Live is a must: live from Seattle- Alone & These Dreams Black Dog (Led Zeppelin cover)
Ann's vocals are an absolute force of nature. She can be as gentle as a soft spring breeze, and in an instant she can become a hurricane!! I once heard her voice described as a sledgehammer, wrapped in velvet.
This was my mom's favorite band! Really takes me back to the early 80's when I was a kid still....One luv to my Mom God rest her soul! Also, loved watching you react to such a great song by heart
What a passionate response you delivered to this powerful song, Blessing. ❤ I, too, really enjoy hearing both sisters sing. And you're right, Nancy's romp on the stage toward the end is really a treat to absorb. I'm honestly only vaguely familiar with this song, so I was celebrating what felt a lot like a first listening with you just now. And you are such a dynamo, and also a sweet giggle, when you really, truly love a performance. So thanks for carrying me along with you 🥰
As a man this song melts me. These two are so hot and so talented. Just melts me to the core. I would definitely stay home to get her phone call! What an emotional song!
I love this hard rocking ballad. Power ballad, rock ballad, all of it. The emotional passion in Ann’s high notes is incredible. My fave Heart tune, and one of their best songs in my book.
So glad you enjoyed this. Heart is an iconic rock band, sister-powerhouse, punching it through the decades. The fact that they didn't get Rock and Roll Hall of Fame until 2013 highlights the seamy male domination of the industry. This is one of my favorite Heart songs because both ladies are showcased so nicely. You're right - it's melancholic, but it's also sultry, the way Ann can break and soften her voice to portray that mood. And she's just so exquisitely precise with her vocalizing. Since you asked, my very favorite is a video of Heart doing Crazy On You, live in 1978, I think. It opens up with Nancy doing a lovely and funky acoustic solo and intro, and then, boom, she and then Ann take over the stage. And it's such a gorgeously constructed song. Thank you. You do a very enjoyable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable reaction.
@@MrsPenPal, I am new to your channel. I just clicked on it. Perfect! Like you, I was entirely taken up with Nancy's acoustic solo, but Ann was a force of nature with her nonpareil vocals. These sisters brought so much lyrically and musically to rock and roll. We are lucky to have had them for us.
Heart is still singing today, that might not sound like much but since they started in the 70s that means they have out lasted majority of the top rock bands and ahead of that they have out lasted majority of the top rated 70s male bands and are even singing some of their songs today.
Nancy rarely gets due credit for her singing ability. She has an amazing voice! In fact, on their first top 40 hit, "These Dreams", it is Nancy, not Ann, who performed the astounding lead vocals. The lady can SANG!
I’ve seen them play many times but my first time was in a club in Seattle before their first album was released in the US. I knew from the first listen that they were gonna have a huge influence on Rock and Roll. Love your reaction
Awesome reaction. We just love Heart, and the Wilson sisters. In case you haven't yet, pls check out "These Dreams", "Stranded", "Never", "What About Love", and "There's The Girl".
My favorite song by my all-time favorite band. Alone came out in the '80s, but I was a teenager in the '70s when I saw them in concert. I was hot for Ann at that time. They were even better live. Not a huge production, just awesome talent.
This song was in the 80s after they made their comback to music, their career sttarted in the 70s. A lot of controverise in this song. They basically cut Ann out of the video because she had put on lots of weight. It was a huge issue back in the day. They didn't even know until they saw the video on MTV
I love the song, but hated how they treated such an icon as Ann Wilson. She had some weight gain, but still looked great. They flaunted her sister, while covering up Ann. It's a beautiful song, but Ann deserved better in this vid. I loved your review thought. 🥰
This was at a time when the studio tried to put Ann out of the picture as she had gained a lot of weight and didn't fit their image of what the band should look like. That's why she's up on the balcony or shot from the waist up. If you want to hear Nancy sing lead check out "These Dreams" and check them from the beginning, back in the seventies I recommend "Barracuda", "Magic Man", "Crazy On You", "Straight On" to start with. I saw them back in 1977.

And a killer cover of Unchained Melody!
Ann Wilson, born June 19, 1950, is still touring in 2023.

This was during their self proclaimed "SELLOUT PERIOD" ALOT of great music they made in the 80's, I always loved them and their music.
You are beautiful, Blessing!

My 15 yo self had many day dreams about Nancy Wilson. Both of them are pure beauties
I love this hard rocking ballad. Power ballad, rock ballad, all of it. The emotional passion in Ann’s high notes is incredible. My fave Heart tune, and one of their best songs in my book.
You can say that again 👏

My favorite Heart song😊😊😊
Great song, nice reaction. The guitar solo is played by lead guitarist, Howard Leese
Shell shock and If looks could kill are my fave bangers from them!

Yes, we use to never be expressed our emotions well except through music.
Lol @ “How she came in on a horse”, thanks for the video.
😂😂
Ann and Nancy are goddesses of rock!
I've always thought they are both, two very beautiful women
fantastic.......

You should listen to Ann & Nancy sing this with just Nancy playing guitar. From ~2010?
Nancy is married to Cameron Crowe and I think the movie ALMOST FAMOUS is loosely based on them meeting on the road in the 70's 😊
That's simply 80' 🙂
I love the song, but hated how they treated such an icon as Ann Wilson. She had some weight gain, but still looked great. They flaunted her sister, while covering up Ann. It's a beautiful song, but Ann deserved better in this vid. I loved your review thought. 🥰
That’s sad they both beautiful and talented ✨
If you liked this song you must listen to All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You,another hit by them.
In the beginning of the song it is all Ann and no Nancy
What do you mean this is “your best Heart song”? Did you write it? Are you Heart?
This was at a time when the studio tried to put Ann out of the picture as she had gained a lot of weight and didn't fit their image of what the band should look like. That's why she's up on the balcony or shot from the waist up.

I saw them back in 1977.
Wow can you imagine that they are so wrong for that!
Listen to hearts
What about love
Just wanna make love to you
So fire 🔥
Madonna doesn't even have half the singing talent these women have, not even 10%.
They just had to stop recently because Ann has cancer.
That’s sad to hear what a duo!
