How many watts does your PSU have?
Using the PCI e x4 slot is going to jolt CPU and GPU workload draw, and the X4 lane on ANY motherboard is 45watts max voltage output so from the get go your hindering any GPU you plug into it, the set standard across the board on x16 is 75watts and that is what a slot powered GPU calls for to work as intended, on some SFF units the power to x16 slot will be lower and if so it should be stamped on motherboard next to the slot, same with x4 slots if it is something different than the standard it will be stamped on motherboard some x4 will only allow 25watts or 15watts. 45 watts is okay to mine crypto but to access the video output function fully and truly how the maker designed the GPU being 30 watts shy will cause problems, as in 100% CPU usage, more than normal GPU usage for rendering low end graphics get to the higher end usage points in the game and you would be lucky if it does not crash or cause a max out on gpu and cpu not to mention the added heat, kinda like flooring the gas pedal in a car while in park and keeping it floored, no one would do that to a machine like a car engine why would you force a PC to do it to run a low/mid range video rendering in a game? except when the throttle is no longer needed it stays at max when under powered in this way. Any computer techs feel fine to chime in, I can bet all I am and ever will be on the information given here without any software needed, observation is all that is required to see it, it is not subjective in any way shape or form

@@quad8199 I'm as confused as you
can it be installed in dell optiplex 3020
How much is the total wattage now after you've putted that mini monster card dude? Hm wattage of your PSU? Thanks in advance.
I no longer had this Pc (sold it) but it ran fine. PSU is 255w gold. GPU consume 69W according to online test.s.
@@thehobbyists613 Oh. Ok. Thanks bro.
Did it work or not??
rx580 nitro +8.GB does not support motherboard?
thats depends on your psu wattage not motherboard
Does this improve fps?
Ahuman 99 yes, and graphics
What about amd GPU? Can you upgrade power supply? To add better GPU?
@RowyPlayz I think the optiplex 7020 has better pathway to pay upgradability. I'm going to check that out
Ludoviko Peluche ues
how many watts is the psu?
Hi what psu did you use?
does this card fit in the 3020?
It would fit the same
Great vid. Quick question - did you have to upgrade the power supply to handle the GPU?
I also have an old Optiplex 9020 SFF and want to upgrade, but the highest PSU I can find is 315 watts.
Thanks man
For the 1050Ti you do not need to upgrade the PSU. 255W stock PSU can handle it. If you put 310W in, great ! even better. There might be 1650 LP exist if you can find one...
How does it run?
Can you do a case swap with this pc?
It's a big pain in the ass cuz there are alot of proprietary connectors and jumpers, and it'll give you a blue screen on boot every time
Hi TTheHobbyist(s),According to the official dell optiplex sff manual model such 9020.. .does not support more than 25W per PCI-e . You have real relevant practical experience in testing the model with a video card requiring more than 25W , so you do not have power issues, don't you?l
Do I need to delete any drivers before upgrading??
If you had a previous graphic before that, yes
Good Morning!
Did you have to change the font to install this video card?
Hi, what do you mean the font ? I'm not sure but no mod is needed. You install the GPU into the short slot actually
@@thehobbyists613 Sorry. I want to know If you change the energy source. My Dell optiplex 9020 has a energy source of 260 watts. Is your energy source the same as mine?
@@andreiconect I used the stock PSU which is 255W and it works fine.
can it's PSU handle with 1050ti?
Is it ok to use the black slot neither the blue slot?
Yes. I actually have to use the black slot in this video. It is X4 but it is opened at the end so X16 PCIE card can fit.
Does a 1050ti mini fit in a small form PC plz reply ??
It would have to be the Low Profile version
How do I install drivers
I have a 200w psu in a USFF and as the rest of the people here want to know
Will it run it
The PSU here is 240W or 255W. 200W is a little close. And then the issue of fitting for the USFF model. This one is SFF. If the computer is the micro version, it may not have the pcie slot.
@@thehobbyists613 The usff has no pcie16 slot so I've already upgraded to a sff and the 1050ti dosent fit inside of it so I now have a pcie riser cable running to the gpu that I have ziptied to the side of my computer and surprisingly this ~250 psu can run it
Better off with optiplex 9010 sff to get the pcie 16x instead of 4x on this model. Newer model better cpu but pcie on the last slot instead of first.
What are the tools you use called and what size is it??
It's just some generic tools you buy at walmart. Less than $10 bucks.
How do you take off those DVI things????
The bracket was removable
Low profile graphic card, the GTX 1650 is one of the most powerful, then comes GTX 1050ti and RX 6400.
where I find this graphic card low profile? I use the gt 1030 = (
RowyPlayz amazon, eBay, Newegg
hey man so i'm about to buy a Optiplex 7010 and sadly there is now Low profile GTX 1050ti's in my country so would a single fan GTX 1050ti fit if i remove the side panel of the pc cause man i do not want to settle for a gt 730 or gt 1030 low profile cause they kinda suck
I have a low profile 1050Ti, no other full size cards would fit. And also, try to get it from ebay or something, get it internationally shipped. It's worth it!
Let me know if the 7010 works for you. I picked 9020 because there is an issue where some PCIE slot on some older Dell models that will only supply 35W instead of 75W
I have a 7010 sff with a single fan EVGA 1050 3gb installed with no panel on it.
@@Noeldavid55 hi sir. can u email me some pictures? Looking forward to install on mine.
How many watts is your power supply?
I don't remember but it was 240w or 255W. The midtower is 290w. Which is fine for the 1050Ti. the 1650 would be the strongest card you can put in it.
