Saadiq is the lead singer of 80's RnB group Tony Toni Tone and later Lucy Pearl with D'Angleo, Dawn Robinson and Ali Shaheed Muhammed. He tears it up, i'm far more familiar with Saadiq than I am with Jagger!
@BulletCableVids YES!!! we were definitely rockin the Bullet coiled cables! I was the guitarist with white Strat, using the "see thru" cable!! All I use now..such a classic and funky vibe! Love 'em!!!!! The Mick Jagger performance was a huge success! Stay tuned for more....
Raphael Saadiq is the baddest......Black American Music is the greatest. Thx to the Beatles and The Stones for understanding it and respecting it. Rock came from Blues and Gospel....and these icons understand this, and study it.
i know that Raphael recognizes the greatness of Mick Jagger, but i wonder if Mick realizes the Rapahael has pver 20 years in the music biz and aint no joke?
I don’t know … but I think so. Mick would have had to had a say on which guitarist was gonna be there. But I’m still mad that at the Grammy’s they did NOT acknowledge Saadiq was the guitarist
I love that he's had the same shade of hair for sixty years. Anyone know if you can buy dirty blonde hair coloring? Surely he is hiding grays. But then again, Mick Jagger doesn't age, baby.
@8bertmucha I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I'm talking about the WAY it was shot. The rehearsals are cool, great performance. The problem is that the video is constantly in and out of focus and insanely shakey. Its a new style, and its just not very good.
I really hope they get someone else film things like this in the future. Seeing them rehearse is great but the guy shooting this did a horrible job. Couldn't hold a shot or stay in focus for a single second. Its a style issue. Everyone things shallow depth of field means great work. Poorly shot, great material! Jagger slayed at the Grammys!
This is from my era I’ll be 80 in June. I’m from a family of musical artist musicians singers I also paint draw, but this isn’t about it the genius Raphael Saadiq ,
@8bertmucha You don't understand what you are talking about. This is not a 'club' gig. This was a rehearsal for the grammys. And it is shot way to jittery. In and out of focus all the time.
Raphael Saadiq is amazing. Been following him since Tony Toni Tone days.
I remember Solomon Burke he was great in my time. Lol brings back memories. OMG 😲 I’m old as dirt.
What a great collabo from two great artists!
one of the outstanding performances at the 2011 grammys. what a tribute to solomon burke.
Love it!
MICK rocked the Grammys!
Raphael Saadiq sooo beautiful

Yes,sounds tight and cool.
Mick is wild
Saadiq is walking music notes. He is serious about this thing.
solid drummer
Jagger sure loves this song
you should be Mick Jagger to have Raphael Saadiq for vocalist
I know that guy! Sessy sax by Jerry Moore! YAY! This is shot awesomely :)
Mick = God of rock
Cool
I like Mick's shirt sometimes being buttoned, sometimes not.

Check out the original Solomon Burke version after this and see…
my goodness that's an original comment and the Rolling Stones in lower-case. a banner day
Jagger´s rule, yet !
He's in this little group called the Rolling Stones.
I love that he's had the same shade of hair for sixty years. Anyone know if you can buy dirty blonde hair coloring? Surely he is hiding grays. But then again, Mick Jagger doesn't age, baby.
I've got the moves like Jagger.

No one steals more than Zeppelin.

Solomon Burke !940-2010 (Not !955)
Mick isn't loud enough :(
mmmmmh, logo
i missed Charlie more than anything...........freak
what a poor "work of pictures" scenes shorter than 0,5 sec - brain is unable to work it around...
Raphael Saadiq steal's more than Led Zeppelin - he just hide's it better
And Mick Jagger steals more than all of them.
