The Dark Souls of basketball
FromSoft's Slam Dunk Souls
@@KitePersonElden Ring is actually the only From Software game where you can slam dunk, although you have to have 60 faith in our Lord and Savior to do so
Elden Jam
Im waiting for someone to release Elden ring dlc no hit run dunks only
@HA-ot6uf This comment will be painfully underappreciated
They literally added basketball in Elden Ring.
The ones saying this isn’t real, it is. Just watch any early access reviews of the game and a couple content creators literally say to throw HEFT FURNACE POTS to the ones with enforced legs. 😂
Imagine plugging your content here smh
@@the_jingo ?
@@nakiangoderich3014 my bad I read “any” as “my”
@@the_jingo oh lol
@@the_jingo Dude same lol
Maidenless fans watching this: "So we've been hitting and running all this time, while this guy was playing basketball?"
Its sucks you don't get alot of the furnace pot versions because they aren't farmable, I'd love to use them in a pot build. Honestly it's nice to see pots have their uses especially the big ones they're fun, pretending to be like Kobe Bryant which I actually threw a good shot at one.
what’s the armor set?
I knew some secret tech should exist to defeat these guys. They just screamed gimmick fight to me
That would explain why majority of them were located near ledges.
Put on great jar head
Their freakin fire wave is insane
Gimmick is use horse, poise break, finish
why would they be gimmick fight ? its elden ring anything that moves is ur enemy
Crap, those things have rewards? I loves how they looked in the background and never fought them.
Deflecting hardtear
Turns Elden Ring into Sekiro (somewhat)
Bruh
I am leaving them until I am ready for the world to die
@@sharif47 but why? they don't attack frequent enough and you can avoid everything by just jumping
@@Ghorda9they are still pain in the Ass. Luckily I have defeated every furnace golem expect the one that require furnace pot. I don’t have crafting material to craft more 😢
I mean I'd probably die too if someone dunked an explosive device into my open cranium like a basketball.
Me: *reads that note, makes furnace pot, runs up to golem and throws it at his leg*
Me: "Welp, that didn't work. Guess I'll die now."
I remember finding this note and not thinking much of it until I got to the shin guard furnaces. Then it all clicked 😂
The definition of killing fire with fire
Fromsoft: You WILL use our crafting system damn it.
Hefty fire pots work to, use those rather than burning away all your furnace visages
yeah but they’re so much weaker…ngl the furnace visages don’t have much use outside of being used to kill the fire dudes so like, might as well
I'd like to think this was actually Messmer talking, like he's introducing the concept of these golems to his army and the do's and don'ts.
They are a instrument of revenge from Marika anything that the Hornsent think is divine is mirrored in the Furnace Golems like the Horns on the Mask or the Spiral Flame attack. She made them because of what the Hornsent did to her Family stuffing them in Pots and now she is using the Hornsent as fuel for those Golems
I use the normal fire pots because my ocd doesn't allow me to expend a limited resource. The rule stands even when killing/activating furnace golems is the only time I will ever use them. They will collect dust in my inventory along with the Marika's blessings. Oh yeah, that reminds me of the Queen's blessings that have been sitting in my inventory since the time I picked them up in Anor Londo from Ds1.
my brother in arm, damn how to remove this habit
epic editing dude
this also works with other fire pots, but furnace pots always insta-stun when hitting the flames
Even base game fire pots?
@@universe1225It has to be a heavy pot, so no.
If you knew this earlier you wouldn't have spent 30 hours killing just one furnace golem
worst gimmick fight in the game
Its probably why i saw the message “try fire” in that watery valley that contains all the fire golem corpses.
Eh those two are easy to kill with Pest Threads and a shield with the Vow of the Indomitable Ash of War. It shreds them hard and the shield protects you from pretty much everything if you hug their legs.
@@AceAviations2 im playing as malenia so magic is off limits to me.
I love that the hint came in the form of a joke.
“Alright guys, I spent a lot of time making these golems, follow the instructions *or else.”*
Slam dunk it next time
Remember that the hefty pot helmet and pot talisman will increase the damage!
hefty pot helmet is easy to find in Belarut gaol
Clickbait thumbnail. I thought you had found some new arrow tech to kill them.
wtwfwgtdjfbdj I found that stupid note and assumed it would for a specific puzzle later… why would fire beat fire?!?! Lmao
Bro... I wished I'd known this 7 days ago🤣
saaame
Wait it didnt work for all?
I Try it with some and i didnt effect them.
It’s only the one with armored legs I think
@@MUIJohny Yes i get him^^
@@MUIJohnyno this works on every golem. It's just you need to use Furnace pots or just regular fire hefty pot. But it works on all of them. It's just much harder to throw that shit in basket
You click baited me with great bow thumbnail 😡
I would suggest using normal big fire pots, it does less damage but it has about the same effect, you can sometimes get it to allow you craft even if you're fighting these guys (do not ask me how, time is convoluted)
I’m proud I figured this one out on my own
Only problem i have is they never stop attacking me with their fire balls so i have no chance to attack before i get killed
You gotta be greedy. The main time to throw is when it is summoning a new volley of fireballs since those are rather slow. You can also use Torrent to dodge the previous volley.
So that’s how you kill the ones with shin guards. Welp. Thanks
I tried this but it didn't work for whichever reason. Then I stopped trying because I didn't want to waste more furnace visages...🤦♂
Ballin but at what cost
I've only killed one this way so far, which was the jankiest bloody mess.
Issue is, I only have two heavy pots and you need three to kill.
Also, it's kind of easy to miss the basket, especially when the Golem is starting up its jump attack.
Since the game doesn't actually let you craft in combat, what I ended up having to do was throwmy pots, then run away far enough for it to lose aggro (which is pretty far since these bloody things spot you from a mile away), craft new ones, go in again.
That took a fight that could have been over in two minutes to something like fifteen. Could have been faster if I didn't miss like half my pots, but oh well.
Also worth noting, regular giant fire pots work as well
Wait how did you guys fight those before you saw this ?
I just climbed up there threw everything i had, read a message and i was like "oooohhhh hold on" i pulled out big pot and did this... Which is how your supposed to fight them
How did you even get enough ample time to toss a pot in the first place? The fireball spam never gives me any breathing room.
Truly, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
Also skills
Read the note, read the player messages, i understand how it works... The application of that is something else... I wasn't able to hit the fire thing a single time among the eternal fire ball rain spam they always do. No really i have no time to finish the throwing animation most of the time, other times i miss because i try to throw it as fast as possible, and then get hit by rain of fire and killed. Its a good idea in theory but those fire basket's fire rain attacks are overturned to go too often. Killed the ones with woundable legs and those with armored legs i ignored.
I actually hunted down the cookbook for the hefty freezing pot because I thought I was supposed to chuck those in there. It made sense to me at least.
Knew it in a first hours lmao, thought there's a way with a bow
Just so you know, you can use standard hefty fire pots, as furnace pots are limited and do about the same damage
I killed 2 or 3 of em before I even noticed. Theres a charm/talisman that makes it do even more damage
Yeah just don’t miss like I did, the vestige and pots are hard to find.
Aha! So that's the trick to them. Thank you.
..and here I was chopping their feet with my horse friend.
That's the strategy for the ones that don't have armoured legs.
So running around on torrent and shooting the face with arrows for 4 hours was a waste?
Me who thought he was being funny with shard spiral: ................
Pretty sure regular pots do damage like that too
What armor do you have in your thumbnail?
I just summoned my mimic tear and bounced it back and forth a bit with prayerful strike to heal ourselves. It dies after two crits, so stance damage is more important than actual damage doing it that way. Unfortunately, these things have tons of poise. Just chucking a pot at it would have been way easier.
There are two types of Golem. One has armoured legs and doesn't get stance broken, so for those the pots are mandatory.
For the other ones, they're optional and sometimes not even feasible (since you need a high vantage point to drop them from).
Your mind is sharper than a blade
You can throw them when you ride torrent
Isn't one of the ingredients to make those types of pots... the Furnace Visage that only those same golems drop?
Kinda short of materials to do this sort of stuff more than once.
You can also use the normal hefty fire pots.
The furnace ones just do more damage and stagger, I believe.
Either way, you should save the furnace pots for the Golems with leg reinforcements and fight the other ones normally.
What gear are you wearing?
It's a fine tactic and all, but I became pretty frustrated with one of the shiny new jordans type of golems. I only had just enough hefty pots to finish it off and it kept moving it's bloody head or jump punching me in the middle of my throw.
Man! what can I say?
Oh my god, this is incredible news!
Just randomly playing Shadow of Erdtree.
Wait a minute, let me do something with these stupid cracked pots I never use. Lightning pot seems usefull.
Next day find out I need at least 4 of them for this purpose, good luck finding these pot/jars they so rare.
whats the armor
May i bother asking what armor are you using ......also yea.....i learn about this 3 days ago....it sucks
Slam jam souls
This DLC has made me use a lot more game items I usually wouldn’t. Honestly it’s refreshing! There’s so many different play styles and strategies to use.
noobmodus gz
Big pot, lol
And this is why some of them are near ledges and the ones that are not will stay on the ground for a long time when downed!! Throw pots and riposte fro the big damage.
I mean that's how you need to defeat those 2 with leg reinforcements, of course
apparently the flame of frenzy is a good spell for if you cant reach his head. someone told me a full charge does alot of stagger
Wtf!!!
If you knock then down or posture break them you can throw a pot in AND get the repost off. You might be able to get 2 fire pots in, but it might try to get up after 1.
There is one that you find in one of the secret areas that you have to throw one of these pots into it, to wake it up so you can get past the door. Keep an eye out for it! :)
😅 Lol that's t nice, imma gonna go try it 😂
Armur name?
i am god of disbelief, the fml of all believers
Lol so throwing Nige Cage joke is real !!!
and i was standing at this exact place to throw giants ice pots
Is your character single by any chance?
Or alternatively you could just slap them with rolling sparks from a perfume of your choice and watch as 10k health suddenly dissapears one cast at a time
Hate to break it to you but that's been patched out now.
Are you shitting me
This never made sense to me. you use a furnace pot to ignite a sleeping one so why does it also hurt them?
In that case you're using it to start up the fire, it's like throwing a burning match onto coal or dry wood. It's just in that case it's a pot bigger than your head that you're using to start up a giant flaming golem that is a walking war crime.
I find it hilarious how the giant fire enemy is weak to fire
Then again the Land Squirts (the egg enemies that spew Poison or Scarlet Rot) are EXTREMELY weak to Poison, in that it kills them causing them to explode into a cloud of Poison which can easily cause a satisfying chain-reaction.
So the idea of a golem that's on fire being weak to fire isn't completely unrealistic.
That's a lot of damage
OOOH! That makes sense... thats the deal with the one with armored legs. I read all of that but nothing clicked in my head
There are actually two of them … but same tech yeah !
I Should read more
I wish i knew about this 70 hours earlier...
all my other save files after learning this information: 👀
Tips for Giant Braizers. Armored legged ones can only be destroyed by furnace pots while normal ones have to be attacked by the legs. Stick to one leg and stagger it 3 times to let it fall. I've yet to see if you can throw a pot while it's down, but I figured it does the same damage, maybe more just doing the critical
It doesn’t matter if you focus on a single leg or not, it looses overall posture regardless.
No need to focus on one leg. Either leg will work.
You can do that to the dead golem in front of some ruins to bring it back to life. I forgot the name of the ruins but it’s the one where you get the stone sheath sword
Does it drop anything worthwhile?
@@darthplagueis13 a cracked tear that restores health by attacking and a furnace visage
thanks!
Eh, they are weak enough already, without any tricks)
What tricks? It's literally there, it's a hint?
That's the armoured variant. They don't take damage or stance damage to their legs, so this is mandatory against them.
WHAT
the next question is do fire incantations cast in the proper spot also provide similar results?
Nope
