Surprised pikachu face
Bayle: Summon your friend, Napoleon.
Player: What?
Bayle: I said summon your friend and see what happens.
Player: You're such an idiot!
Bayle: Let me see what your best summon is.
*Attempts to summon Igon*
*Gets one shot*
Player: Alright, i won't summon...
*Dodges first attack*
*Summons Igon and mimic with spear and shield*
Bayle: *Jeez!*
The Boss: "No summons from you, you filthy casual."
Your health bar is almost as long as your stamina bar, there's nothing unexpected in you getting one-shot with so little health...
I have 60 vigor and all of this still one shots me
Granted I’m in NG+
That was a poor attempt at deflecting. Point was the cheap shots after entering. This was not the case in the base game or any other From game.
@@5chneemensch138 Tell me you never fought Astel without telling me you never fought Astel....
@@aarondimoff5180 I specifically said cheap shot. Guess you never fought Astel then.
@@5chneemensch138 So walking into Astel's arena and getting blasted with a laser while summoning is NOT a cheap shot? Cause that's exactly what happens here.
So glad it isn't just me
Random folks on Steam : "Game was too hard ? How about discarding your useless pride and summon your mimic ?"
Me :
Well then, (clears throat) GIT GUD.
YOU ARE NOT PLAYING THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY 😡😡😡
@@_SUPERN0VA_ Everyone knows the right way to play is to play with a real lasagna controller while cooking spaghetti. smh my head some casuals.
Get them scudtrees
Also the vigor is abysmal
For heavens sake get 60 vigor please
Ah yes, f*ck the pvp meta level
@@prinnydude5864 level 40 invasions in farron keep?
-walks into boss fight with 30 vigor
-stands completely still when knowing a boss starts with pojectile
-mimic tears losing your health
"this game sucks, negative review on steam"
My man gettin' cooked instead of cookin' 🤐
Wtf is that vigor?
So wait to see if the boss is throwing a projectile before summoning is what I’m getting.
Excellent analysis.
Yep
Don't you know that in Elden Ring there are algorithms that ensure that you are attacked as soon as you use a health bottle, like other consumables... an expert player would have understood it. however in this dlc all the bosses come straight at you as soon as it starts even if you don't use any consumables or summons. I've noticed that most of the time the enemies completely ignore the summoned spirits as well as the fact that the summoned sportsmen seem to be sleeping... sometimes I've seen them do literally NOTHING while they destroyed me.
It's more like the boss always greets you with a nice "fuck you" in the face, so you need to start rolling right after going in the boss room.
Strongest summons user:
The problem for me was I couldn't dodge, so I removed the need to dodge itself.
Heavy load, heaviest and most defensive armor, all defensive talismans, strongest shield, and guard counters.
or just be smart and run side ways..
Garbo defense. Garbo vigor. Dies instantly. And then surprise Pikachu face.gif
If only there was a way to increase your health
I mean it is basically dark souls 2 again. You gotta move before you spawn😂😂
JuST LevEl uP VigOR
And don't forget to NOT insta summon a spirit ash that takes away half your health when the bosses uses an attack.
It's true tho, he has no health at all, even in NG+0 the endgame bosses would also one-shot him with such puny health bar...
I had 99 vigor and still got killed in two hits from the bosses in this dlc
1.5 seconds into the clip I saw he had about 35 Vigor. Found your problem right there smooth brain.
Yeah this is genuinely the worst part of the dlc. Its not even the difficulty, it the fact that most of the bosses are coded to attack you before you can even do anything. Im literally forced to do buff and put on talismans ive never used before just so i can even enter and have a chance to not get one shot or spam locked. Its annoying af.
or just learn the fight instead of crutching on summons and buffs or learn the right time to summon instead of making it a brain dead "decision" right at the start
@@Ghorda9 did....did you not listen to a word I said my guy? I'm talking about using different different buffs and talismans I've never had to use before before entering a fight jist so I don't instantly get killed. I didn't even mention summons, I'm talking about being forced to metaphorically shoving my foot into a door so I don't have it slammed into my face.
I've never relied on buffs, talismans, or summons before, and the summons I've had used were for extremely tough bosses like melania. Otherwise I'm skilled enough to do the majority of bosses on my own in the base game.
The dlc is different. The bosses are coded differently from base because base bosses at least leave you some breathing room to go in and maneuver, while dlc bosses instantly start attacking you without any pause or room to retaliate. It's a poor decision on fromsofts side, and this is coming from a ds1 vet.
They don't need to tweak the difficulty, just how they code the agro in the bosses.
Niqqa I ain't reading all that.
@@DumaVadamee109The DLC is supposed to be harder than the base game, so much so that it's compared to being a separate game. It's the same thing that happened with DS3 players who migrated to Elden Ring and got mad at the absurd delay of the bosses' attacks. But From really made a big leap in difficulty in this DLC, so I don't condemn the hate. These opinions will calm down over time, as people get better at the bosses and find ways to break the game.
level vigor to 60 first then complain lmao
That was a poor attempt at deflecting. Point was the cheap shots after entering. This was not the case in the base game or any other From game.
Astel.
>30 vigor in dlc
“This game is too hard”
That's not difficulty, that's being stupid and not paying attention to what your opponent is doing at all
vigor is one of the best stats, just level until like 60-65 and you should be good
hold d and spam space bar... Its such a easy fight
60 vigor is a must. I had 40 on one toon and needed to heal after every hit from trash mobs
That's just you being bad at the game
I had 99 vigor and still got killed in 2 hits from the bosses in this dlc.
Someone decided to level other stats besides vigor 😂
Nahh you are wrong homie. 40 vig is more than I ever need.
NG+7 not even Hasan is getting one-shotted like that.
Smells like vigor check to me. Git Gud.
PUT THESE FOOLISH AMBITIONS TO REST!!!!
Stand behind grave stones ❤
You forgot Radahn and Gaius
this dlc is as balanced as miyazaki's ass
People are literaly already beating the bosses level 1 with no rolls, people just suck at the game.
@@dearcastiel4667 just because it's possible to no hit doesn't make something balanced. Although I don't think sote is too bad when it comes to balancing
@@azure4622yes it does mean exactly that. You trying your best to excuse your lack of skill IS what doesn't mean anything lol
@@tabkg5802 Not really. Say someone beats a boss by shooting it from far away with arrows and then calls it easy even though it might be the hardest in the game. In that case the boss isn't easy but there is a way to easily beat it.
Same thing if someone can no hit something. It is possible, but that doesn't mean it's balanced.
But as i said before, I don't think shadows of the erdtree has any major balancing issues.
@@azure4622 which makes the boss easy. One not engaging with all aspects of the game is THEIR problem. THEY choose to give themselves more challenge and therefore crying about it is 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Yes it does. If a boss can be beaten on RL1 - it can be beaten. Someone not doing so is a skill issue
Y'all in the comments really don't notice that this is intentional do you?
I mean think about the cheesiest easy ways to beat bosses: one-shot builds like comet azur, and instantly summoning Mimic Tear. How is the DLC gonna mitigate those things? Well, they could either nerf both to the point of uselessness, or make them less freely usable. Make you work a little more. This is their way of doing that. A normal player has no problems dodging an initial attack like this, it's only really an issue if you're either casting azur or using Mimic right away.
Even then there's ways of getting around this. For summoning mimic right away regardless, just have Opaline Bubbletear as one of your physicks and pop it before the fight. If it's a single projectile, you can just take the hit and be alright.
just dont take damage
DLC: Expects you to use spirit summons for its bosses
Also DLC: Doesnt give you enough time to use spirit summons
The fact that matter is we are supposed to be having fun... For sixty one percent of people , this is fun for the other forty Percent.
It is not...Yeah. I am in the majority of the forty percent.
FromSoft games are often kinda like this. They want you to do something but also want you to be strategic about it.
Think Isshin (from Sekiro). You play defensive and you'll probably make little to no progress. So, you need to be aggressive. But that will also get you killed. So you need to be strategic on when to deflect and when to attack before he can.
I wanted to write about Corrupted Monk and Baltius as 2 other examples, but didn't want to make my comment larger with similar arguments.
@@sharif47 40% of us Understand that but Enemies still one shot two shot no matter what build or summons used. It's No fun anymore. The Forteen Hit Combo by one new enemy is fun? I think not. Plus today I saw Vera Dark get an Eight hit combo when she just got in no joke by a new Boss is this to you? Plus all of the Rehashed Enemies from the base game is terrible. 61% of fans think this is fun but 40% of fans including myself are looking at this and saying this isn't FUN anymore. It's all about Challenge when facing these new bosses or even a fusion of movesets for new bosses that have the moveset of an old enemy. I wish they added The Resident Evil unused Enemy monsters and Potential bosses they could have made from these unused.Enemies, it is capcom, isn't using these
Lost Creations at all.
@@paulsmith5684 the truth is that I am one of those 40%. I have been struggling with Rellana for the last few days, despite using deflecting hardtear to imitate Sekiro (try it if you haven't) since she is very aggressive.
And I do agree with most of what you said (except for the 61% and 40%, they add up to 101%, not 100 ;p).
Yeah, you are right. They do so many combos and mix up so much (often adding one or two additional moves) that in the end, I decided to change my playstyle (deflect based, as previously mentioned) for this. I also remember that the only reason I managed to beat Dancing lion is that my damage and stagger output was so fast that the boss died before it could perform frost based moves (still dunno how to attack with ice blast in proximity).
But while fighting both, I realized that they may be attacking erratically, but a lot of their attacks can randomly miss if you simply stand there, no need to dodge. I can't replicate successfully, but someone better at the game might.
If the later bosses also follow this erratic pattern of missing half their attacks, maybe that's what FromSoft wants us to learn, finding those blind spots and punishing the boss while inside them.
Also, let's look back how things came to be like this.
When Elden Ring came out, people (including me) had issues with the endgame bosses. I personally found them having too much health, doing too many combos, and worst of all, ending with an aoe so the boss can recover while you close the gap. And then there's Malenia, a Sekiro boss in Elden Ring.
Some people predicted that DLC boss will be much harder just to keep the status of hardcore gaming.
They likely tested us with Malenia, checking if Sekiro boss works in ER as well. What happened is that certain advanced players still manage to do no hit, rl1, often 1 hit the endgame bosses, including Malenia.
And as a result, a lot of the bosses in the DLC are Sekiro bosses. Now imagine what will happen in their future games.
Finally, Steam was having mixed reviews for Elden Ring but we're not sure if they're mostly because the game is too hard, or the easy anti-cheat.
@@sharif47 I see many of your points. And I do agree with them But this time is extremely There is no fun this time around One facing bosses It just saddens me How a company goes from challenge and fun To just challenge alone.🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨.
Demi-Human Swordsman Yosh started pulling this shit on me - I just wanted to cast a buff!
I mean…I’m a spell caster and pretty squishy too, but a little more vigor or a good talisman go far.
I found out if you have summons in a pouch, when you enter the gate fighting the final boss immediately hold down the button to summon the pouch and with that just summon out the summon, boss almost always doesn’t react and immediately knock you out
That's what I was sort of complaining about. Keep the difficulty how it is if you want. That's fine, but don't sock me in the mouth a half a second after step through the fog gate. It was irrating when the Capra Demon did and it's still irritating now.
You left out Messmer, Gaius, and the final boss. You have no idea how many times those three have done this to me.
This is pretty much the start of Radahns fight but more.
Thats what happen for bringing a dagger into a gun fight
What is that tiny-ass healthbar there at the start bro
that's a lotta damage
I mean just wait till you- oh right… *they never stop attacking*
Yeah, you need to learn how to trigger the boss passive state. Essentially every boss Ai h a confused when you transition into and out of melee range.
You learn the range that confuses them and bait till you win.
It’s not even hard just boring. Dlc sucks. ‘Git Gud’ means exploit Ai
@@ltrpwd or just learn their blind spots, everything has them at different moments, you don't even need a "passive" state
@@Ghorda9 you run out of green bar in the dlc if you stay in melee forever. Besides this is how people do no hit runs
Or jump on them second they finish an attack. Learn which attacks leave them vulnerable. That happens more than you think. I don’t know about you, but I never had to abuse AI, what the heck were you doing?
@@Hoonter_jne playing the dlc. There aren’t really many openings unless you bait like this.
You’re probably over level
😢
