007: Agent Under Fire is a first-person shooter video game based on the James Bond franchise. Developed and published by Electronic Arts, it was released for PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox game consoles. It is the fourth Bond game which is not based on a film or book in the James Bond series, following James Bond 007: The Duel, James Bond 007 and EA's own 007 Racing. The game's story arc continues in the following sequel, Nightfire, released a year later. - Ігри
God damn that James Bond model looks EXACTLY like Sterling Archer.
Lana...Lanaaa...LANA!!
+Goldenhand The Just
oh god.
danger zone!
+Goldenhand The Just (Lana yells) Archer!! Damnit Cyril!
+Goldenhand The Just - Lmaoooo, I couldn't for the life of me put my finger on who he looked like
This was one of my favorite games when I was a kid.. ah good memories.
q claw my guy lol

His laugh is one for the ages. So hearty.
Makes me feel like hitting up 'Nighfire' and 'Everything or Nothing' again, great review.
For me, Everything or Nothing was the definitive Bond game.
The game had some great production values, the gameplay was awesome, the driving was cool and Brosnan himself lend the voice and likeness of Bond.
EA made some great Bond games, too bad Activision fucked up the licence.
+MrEdcar007 I loved that game because the combat was so refined and the 2 player coop was awesome and then you got the cheesy but awesome story and the fantastic mission designs. My god, the nostalgia is real.
+MrEdcar007 My two favourites are:
1# Nightfire
2# Everything or Nothing
Played the shit out of them both, the multiplayer is Nightfire was awesome (Oddjob's instakill hat 4 life)
+MrEdcar007 Agreed. Everything or Nothing was Pierce Brosnan's true swan song. Really enjoyed Nightfire as well, spent hours on the split screen multiplayer with bots, friends, and family.
.....Huey Lewis and the news?...
My best memories of nightfire was playing splitscreen with my older bro on that one map in the snow with two railway carts and those two cabins.
While Nightfire is great, Everything or Nothing is the best of the ps2 era, it has
-William Defoe as the main bad guy
-motherfrickin Jaws makes a return
-amazing set pieces i.e new Orleans super highway motorcycle chase
-the coolest gadgets, robot spiders, coin grenades and awesome cars
-makes you realize that Bond works way better as a 3rd person game, something that people still don't get.
THANK YOU!!!
Yessss someone says it. We still deserve William Dafoe in a bond movie
@@memeghost6850 If they made him look like the villain but then the true villain killed him off.. I think it would be great!!
Imagine if naughty dog made a bond game?
*Willem
Multiplayer was really fun in this game as well. There was a lot of very vertical maps that took advantage of all the mobility gadgets like the jet pack and grappling hook quite nicely. I played hours of rockets only with my friends back in the day. I even replayed it around a year ago with some friends and was surprised how well it worked as a stupid party game.
Holy Shit...those twins!
I was so fascinated by this game as a kid, mostly at the gadgets. My tiny mind could barely comprehend the interactivity the environments had like disabling alarms and the like, although looking back now they really didn't use the gadgets that much.
I've got to admit, every time your new video pop ups in my subscriptions, it feels like a small christmas
I remember enjoying this game on my PS2 back in the day. Worked great with the multi-tap for four player matches. This and Twisted Metal Black led to some pretty heated matches among my friends. Good review as always - thumbs up.
I played this game so much back in primary school. Personal classic. Thanks for the review GGGmanlives.
Just wanted to say that your reviews are always awesome. You really put the effort in all your videos!
+Dean Cecire Thanks.
I really enjoy the retro reviews, keep them up! I would love to see reviews of Z.A.R. and Eradicator which are both on steam
This was my first PS2 game. Shame that nowadays it's often overshadowed by 007 Nightfire (also a great bond game)
Meh, who needs a PC port...we were too busy playing NOLF at the time :)
*GASP!* "when ggman reviews one of my favorite childhood games :D" i'm Glad you can find some enjoyment to be had in agent under fire; it's probably the best early 2000's james bond game ever made; aside from tommorow never dies for the PS1 of course :D
Used to play this game as a kid, loved it. Keep up the awesome work Gman, love your vids
I actually spent a lot of my time playing this game at a younger age. Great memories. I had it for the GameCube though, so multiplayer was really fun.
Now i need a nightfire & everything or nothing reviews :), thank you for the great review
Dude your channel is awesome all the games I've grown up with....relatable.
Played the shit out of this game, just finished it again last week. Good review.
Mort Beetle is it good???
I remember playing this as a kid! My first shooter game I ever played. What an opportunity to be born in 99... Today's games are too good for kids to appreciate them now.
Loving the reviews, keep it up! ^^
Been waiting for another PS2 review. Nicely done man. Can't wait till Nightfire.
Nice review!! Now waiting for Nightfire :D
good reviewer. very prolific. you knock one out so frequently.
a review that is.
good job
This was the first fps I ever played! Glad to see a review of it!
Enjoyed this game back in the day. Remember reading the player's guide for it at a store and picked the game up since it looked fun. Really liked the 007 moments and 007 bonus system.
While on the subject of Bond games, it would be cool if at some point you could check out The World is not Enough for N64. I spent a lot of my childhood with that game and it would be fun to see if it holds up as well as Goldeneye does.
Love your videos!
My cousins had Goldeneye for the N64 and I got to play it very often and then when I got the ps2 and this game a year later it was nice they had a tank. Just alot of good memories
Hey man, great review as always! Have you played Everything or Nothing? Great game in my opinion. Quantum of Solace is pretty fun too, even if it is a COD clone. It would be sick to see reviews of those two!
I loved this game in multiplayer, it had a fun game mode where you protect a guy boarding a train. Also you were allowed to use your grappling hook anywhere, so you could hang off ceilings and get the drop on people.
Good to see you get back to some older games.
Nice review. You should also review Medal of Honor 1 for the PS1.
Lovely review
The multiplayer mode for his is sick. There’s grappling hooks and jet packs and me and my brother will pretty much exclusively play using those.
Pretty cool review;
Maybe you could do Goldeneye and Perfect Dark next?
There are some PC Emulators for them
Nice review as always.
Have you played Project I.G.I.? Man, I love that game. It's one of my favorite FPS from early 2000s.
+Rei dos Vermes I haven't played it but know of it.
The faces look surprisingly good!
Agent Under Fire Reloaded v1.2 is out now, a pure improvement mod that makes small tweaks like improving weapon accuracy and visual effects, speeding up multiplayer match setup, improving menus, increasing difficulty.
You forgot to mention the multiplayer, it was amazing! Try playing the town level with the grapple hook, it latches onto everything and if you hold the button you can hang like spider. So multiplayer there has a multi level design to it. You can play as spiderman with a rocket launcher! Awesome, simply awesome. :D
I was just curious about some games you haven't reviewed by now that seem right up your alley. One is Pariah, Darkwatch, hell even the crappy but somehow fun Chicago Enforcer. There is also a series of budget titles developed by Groove Games called Combat:Task Force 141, WWII Combat:Road to Berlin, and WWII Combat:Iwo Jima respectively. Idk they just seem to be the kind of thing you would be into and I think most are available on PC.
Awesome freakin game. I still boot it up and play it to this day on occasion
as a kid i bought 007 nightfire for the xbox instead of this, really loved it and played the shit out of it on local multiplayer.
+itaybron Good move, this game was really short and didn't really live up to expectations...a bargain bin game basically.
+itaybron Yep!
Bots can make the multiplayer of a game timeless without having to rely on functioning servers, really loved nightfire.
Eh, the moonraker missions were pretty shit too be honest.
What I really wanna see is an Archer game. Like you could send Archer and Lana (sometimes Syril) on literally any adventure.
That reminds me... I really need to get around to finishing this one. I picked it up for GameCube a couple years ago and only messed around with it for a bit.
Bad Bond games exist that aren't like bad Bond films though. The more recent ones in particular are just awful, period, and Nightfire on PC was horrid (console version was better).
+DWTerminator this one is actually pretty good (might be a little bias since it was my first one). Has some issues but the mission variety and replay value is pretty enjoyable.
I've played enough of it to know it's certainly not a bad game. Definitely plagued by being a console FPS before they really started to get something workable down, though. I'm sure I'll get around to finishing it eventually.
+DWTerminator They're still playable though because you're James Bond. If it was a generic 3rd person shooter it'd be a lot worse.
The new ones are the Daniel Craig version of Bond, so they might as well just be generic shooters.
DWTerminator
Yeah Quantum of Solace was pretty much COD with a cover system (I am aware Treyarch developed it), complete without any scoring system or replay value
I never played this one, but I absolutely loved Nightfire on PS2, it's multiplayer too.
what is the best 007 game in your opinion? (and do you have a review for it?)
The best thing about this game is how you can use it to install FMCB on a memory card and run homebrew, pirated games, etc.
iirc this is the one where you could use the grappling hook in multi-player, that was so much fun, you hook onto a high vantage point, and while holding the grapple point you could snipe people with the rocket launcher.
Yeah! It grappled anything!
the faces are surprisingly good
This and night fire were huge parts of my childhood
1:42 That's R, not Q. They were originally going to have John Cleese play R in this game, but for whatever reason he was dropped for the game. The guy voicing him, ironically enough, is the same guy who did the voice of Desmond Llewelyn's Q in the PS1 Bond games.
Glad to see you reviewing a bond game. what do you think is Ubisoft picks up the licence for the games and make a splintercell style bond adventure ?
+kasra khatir Can't wait to see the terrible half assed season pass! Maybe a 2d sidescrolling bond? Or a female or non white bond expansion?
Hijynx87 I said splintercell not assassins creed
If this were current day and you paid 100 bucks it actually wouldn't be so bad, I mean gamestop would give you 7 bucks cash or 12 bucks store credit so that's pretty awesome.
And you got it all wrong man, it's the love child of Timothy Dalton and Billy Zane ( if Billy Zane were related to Pierce Brosnan, that close up at 3:32) And why does Q look like a mixture of Alan Rickman as well as Timothy Dalton yet again? Dalton's sure leaving his mark in the game since he couldn't in the movies (Though he's in one of the best ones ever)
Good vid GGG, bringing it back a little, and I've yet to read the other comments but I'm sure you know what I'm about to say, You gotta do Nightfire next. I don't care if you stop there but it needs to be done if you haven't completed it already and are just waiting. I know you're gonna do it, these were the good times.
And everyone is yelling remaster this and remaster that, hell, remaster this one and Nightfire at least, and don't change ANYTHING and I'd be happy. It's the least they can do after those horrible last games with Craigs likeness. I don't even wanna get into what I think about remastering the actual Goldeneye or The World Is Not Enough.
I remember having this on the Gamecube. Not a bad game, even for its time, but the comparisons to Goldeneye were inevitable. So many things I felt were done better, but the combat in general did not feel as satisfying. I don't know if I necessarily agreed with the idea of Bond games being FPS titles all the time, but Everything or Nothing was boss.
I'm still amazed you haven't made a Goldeneye review.
I never even finished the campaign as a kid lol I used to only play multiplayer with my brothers and friends since it’s better. I literally only played campaign so I could get to the 3rd level since that level was super fun to play
Nightfire was better in almost every way... until it goes all Moonraker on you and sends you into space. So lame.
Also, the PC version of Nightfire is so bare-bones it hurts.
Also there's no driving levels on the pc version which sucks.
+Victim of Lag Those space missions were terrible. The game is good up until that point though, definitely better than Agent Under Fire.
Nightfire's shooting isn't nearly as satisfying in Agent Under Fire's. You don't even get any hitmarkers in Nightfire. Agent Under Fire also had many more options in multiplayer to let you customize all the weapons that appear on the map and more.
+aleckermit Right! But guess what? Gggman thinks Agent Under Fire isn't good because of...it being hard and having features new games don't have. Games need a challenge, and the controls in AUF were great. The problem is that Gggman is a PC player, so it's obvious that he'll think the controls in AUF are bad.
damn i remember this game on gamecube. it was one of the earliest rated T games i played
I genuinely loved this game to death. It was the first PS2 game I owned. Yeah the bullet spread was ridiculous, but I loved the variety of missions, it had all out gun fights, on rails gun missions, driving missions, stealth missions and ofcourse the tank mission. It was never going to win any awards, but it was great fun to pick up and play to blow of some steam.
I havent even started watching the video yet, so i dont know Ggg's opinion yet, but i really liked this game. I liked it as much as Nightfire.
Are you going to review Nightfire and Everything or Nothing?
+HairyHog Nightfire, yes.
Gggmanlives I'm assuming you'll be reviewing the console version, yes?
*****
Both PC and Console.
Gggmanlives Even better.
+Gggmanlives you're the best
Need this game on the PSN asap!
Right in the childhood.
Not sure if anyone here will know the answer to this, but one thing I never understood about this game was the scene with the rig diver (in the level "Fire and Water"). Where did she come from? What was her role? Her inclusion just seemed so random. I do remember that you could play as her in multiplayer, though, which was kind of cool.
Are you gonna review the sequel Nightfire? ps. I love that game.
THE FUCKING NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD.... I loved that grappling hook, especially on multiplayer...lol
007 nightfire i found was quite interesting though its stealth mechanics really need reworking since 90% of enemy's have binocular xray vision.
dude do a 007:Blood stone review :)
One thing I noticed back when I first got this game for the Gamecube was how it's nearly impossible to do driving missions and have the car come out unscathed. Oh yeah, and the shower hologram.
Hey did you ever play Goldeneye Rogue Agent? I think it was the first FPS I ever played.
+Raiden Yeah I'll review it soon!
Gggmanlives Nice!
+Gggmanlives Red Faction II? Video rant?
So, about that review?
HairyHog yeeeeahhh.
The memories
Would love to see a review of 007: From Russia With Love
I actually really like the Nightfire/AUF early 2000s era of Bond games. I don't even like the Bond movies that much but the level design in the console games attracts me
Totally agree on the controls. The precision aiming is really not intuitive feeling at all
Dude, please review The Getaway & The Getaway: Black Monday!!
i remember this game, but i never bought it.i remember getting 007 nightfire. please do a review of that one too. the way i remember night fire, it had some pretty good gadgets and gameplay, but the cutscenes were so campy
Hahahaha. "Chaps My Arse." Gotta love that lingo.
When playing the gamecube version on the wii with a hd converter, the pre-rendered cutscenes never display on the tv. The tv can't detect the signal when those particular cutscenes are playing. Anyone else experience this?
you should review the 007 games on gamecube
memories...
Never played Nightfire, all I had was Agent Under Fire, From Russia with Love and Golden Eye.
shit man this game brings back memories. I played through this game so much on the xbox one.
looks like 3D Archer with the voice of this text-to-speech dude
Nostalgia Overload.
can you review the Nightfire's Pc version too? I think its a freeware Now
You had not be reviewed Modification project for very long time. Can you do that in the next video by PARANOIA?
Hasn't there been a predecessor on Gamecube as well? I remember playing that one more often and I found it a lot more appealing in every way. Maybe because we always played it in a bunch and were rarely sober at that time. Also, the previous title was a lot longer if I recall correctly and didn't feel like the "typical" sequel.
Besides the ridiculous weapon spray, the bullet velocity was quite irritating as you hit the target already while the bullet was still on its way.
+Bunker Knacker I think you're talking about Nightfire. It's a sequel to Agent Under Fire.
Because it's a Pierce Brosnan era Bond game, it's likely the Brosnan portrayal of the character. M is also voiced by Judy Dentch, so it places it firmly in that universe, because this Bond certainly doesn't resemble Daniel Craig.
You mean, Daniel Craig doesn't resemble James Bond.
Nigel is Steve Jobs.
So you looking forward to Turok EX?
Bond moves were the best thing ever
I played that game on my ps2 it was cool
Do you like the new bond movies. Skyfall and specter are in my top ten but live and let die is my favorite
Jings this is more of a Bond film than the last decade of movies. Fun, Campy, High concept and Un-PC.
Would always play the GameCube demo at Kmart
Hey Gman, will you ever consider reviewing the Call of Juarez series?
+Taylor-Willliam Hill Yes.
Gggmanlives Awesome, man.
Great choice in review by the way, didn't see it coming. Major blast from the past.
The Timesplitters series is the console FPS by excellence.
whaddaya know i have this game on ps2 and i can relate to your review completely im teddy on steam btw
Review 007: Nightfire!
