Unfortuntely, I've finished the video before seeing the acolyte and there are some horrendous charaters in there...
Anyways, enjoy and may the force be with you

Why you shitting on Jar jar? Everyone loves him
Still a traitor. They’d have done better having Rose and Finn ferrying crewmen to other ships, or scattering the fleet. Instead, the survivors could all fit aboard The Falcon.
Ngl, Holdo was such a terrible leader I was convinced she was a traitor until the reveal that no, she's just awful at her job.
I actually thought the same thing in the theater!
It’s like she doesn’t explain the plan because the audience is watching.
I remember seeing the film for the first time and whispering to my dad in the cinema
“I bet you she works for the first order”
And then yeah… she was just stupid. And so were the writers lol.
TLJ would have been marginally better if they just went ahead and made her a traitor.
Wasn't it revealed in a book that she only became a Resistance leader because she was friends with Leia in the Senate?
I've never had an issue with Jar Jar Binks. He just exists, and that's fine
Then his existence is pure annoyance.
Yeah personally loved him. After all it’s the whole point of his character, he got kicked out of his home for a reason lmao. Like given what lead to Jar Jar being banned from the gungan city…. It only makes sense he acts how he does.
People who are like non human creatures that can’t even speak fluently and say they have to act just like humans is nonsensical in my opinion.
He's less annoying in the Clone Wars, where people like Gunray, Hondo and Grievous tend to be the butt of his jokes.
Me too, but that was probably because English is not my native language, so when I watched TPM as a kid, I just find Jar Jar's odd way of speaking amusing and nothing else. But for native speakers his accent would sound cringe I guess
nah he really did ruin the first movie. However lets be real that movie was kind of awful anyway

Fun fact about Ashoka. Filoni has stated that he knew people wouldn't like Ahsoka no matter how he introduced her so he intentionally made her annoying and arrogant so that after a couple episodes he can gradually remove those traits and let the fans see the badass he always wanted her to be.
Utter genius.
Isn't that just a character arc tho?
Filoni’s definitely done questionable things with Star Wars, but you cannot deny that he succeeded with Ahsoka.
I'm calling bullshit he just fucked up her introduction.
and to be clear i'm not saying he was wrong to make a bad introduction as then you can make improvement and character developpement.
And he messed up that.
@@valentinlageot4101 i'm calling bullshit on your bullshit
I can understand why people didn't like Anakin in AOTC he's bold, arrogant, thinks highly of himself but in ROTS he's grown more and TCW does add more reasons to his downfall to the dark side.
1. He's taken in older than other kids in the jedi.
2. He's more connected to his emotions where the jedi dont allow this.
3. He loses his mother, fear of losing Padme, also has to hide his relationship with padme away from the jedi, his padawan ended up leaving the jedi
4. The jedi council dont fully trust him despite him being on the council and being the chosen one.
5. Palpatine was manipulating and grooming him to be his apprentice.
However, TCW and other Clone Wars EU materials' depiction of Anakin also made his massacre of the Temple much more unlikely. Originally Anakin was said to be a loner not having friends in the temple, so it didn't matter, it's just killing a bunch of strangers anyway. But with TCW he almost make friends with a fellow Jedi in every story arc, even many in the council including Yoda had special adventure with him. If we count pre-TCW materials he has even more friends, like in a novel he became good friends with Barris Offee after some complex adventure...... I find it hard to believe one can be so cruel as having no problem massacring so many friends and comrades only to save his wife.
Anakin doesn't like people that aren't his fans, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the woman, and the children too. They are like animals, and he'll treat them like animals! HE HATES THEM!!!
TCW Anakin and Prequel Anakin are two completely different characters.
He was a kid that had experience outside of the temple and was very powerful for his age of coses he's going to be a ass and aeragent it would feel off if he wasn't at least to me
Jfc people still think the Jedi demand you be an emotionless robot.
He feels negative emotions strongly and cannot regulate nor alleviate these emotions, which is how a Jedi gets corrupted by their power to become a Sith. Mace looks pissed off in every fight, especially against Jango, but he’s in control. He’s not flying off the handle, like Anakin does; leading to the slaughtering of an entire tribe of sand people.
Saddest part about young Anikan is that the actor was bullied all his life for playing him till he later ended up in a mental rehab center because that one job ruined his life
He deserves better...
That’s been debunked. The kid had hereditary schizophrenia passed on by his dad’s side. The mom confirmed.
Lmao
Thats debunked. He had psychological health issues always

Jar Jar is actually a very geniously written character, considering that George Lucas managed to hide so many clues pointing towards his true identity as a sith lord.

I would have put Sabine on the list over Ezra. I feel she's way more of a Mary Sue than he is. Especially after the Ahsoka show decided to make her have force powers.
yeah but Sabine was atleast shown to be pretty much useless with the force. she always was a formidable fighter but the most she can do with the force was a push.
I cant express how much that pissed me off. That and ahsoka being an emotionless hypocrite ruined the show
First of all, Sabine is a Mandalorian, so she's great with weapons and tech, what else do you expect!
And also, her having Force abilities is not from the Ahsoka show. Take a closer look on Rebels season 4.
Besides, Force abilities are not something you have or don't have, Force sensitivity isn't like Magic in Harry Potter, there's no specific gene or something like that, that one must have otherwise they can't use the Force at all. That's why George Lucas invented the idea of Midichlorians, to create a better understanding of why there's no red line. The Force is much more fluent than that. To some degree, every living beeing is Force sensitiv, and be it just a little. That's literally what George Lucas himself said in interviews. So, in a way, Dave Filoni did pay George Lucas respect by writing Sabine the way she is. It's just not what most fans expected but that's the way it is with storytelling, can't make everybody happy.
@@CraftMotion You don't know how difficult it is to use a sword compared to the silly gadgets that the Mandolorions use, Sabine being force sensitive didn't come out of nowhere in Ashoka but it definitely came out of nowhere in Rebels and the way they handled it was lazy. Lucas said everyone is force sensitive to a degree but not everyone can become a Jedi
@@JacktheStripper-tc5pnWell, Sabine, like all Mandalorians, was trained in wielding blades, she says so herself, and we see her and Tristan train with sticks, that are not like swords, I know, but it shows the Mandos do train in melee combat. I think the Darksaber was just harder for her because first, a lightsaber must be handled a little differently, because you can't touch the blade (wich is part of some sword fighting moves and techniques), second, the Darksaber has it's own strong mind and third she was training against Jedi with the precognition that she lacked.
Wich beings us to the next point. I see what you mean and from a dramaturgical point of view I agree, it really feels a bit out of nowhere. But as a Star Wars fan and a writer I think it at least makes sense in-universe. Like we agreed on, anyone is force sensitive to some degree, it's a lot about mindset and stuff like that. But we don't know what Sabine's M Count is. Huyang only stated she's not talented enough to become a Jedi, but he did never talked about her M Count specifically so the lack of talent and ability he referred to could also lie somewhere else, it's also possible Huyang didn't mean what he said and just knew from his experience that Sabine might need to hear something like that so she feels challenged enough to prove him wrong.
For all we know, Sabine could have an M Count similar to that of an average Jedi but her potential was just supressed and limited by her mandalorian way of thinking and her subborness. After all, how long did Luke take it to learn the ways of the Force, despite his inhuman M Count? The mind is a powerful conductor for the Force but also a powerfull resistor if it's blocked by something.
But even if we assume Sabine's M Count is really below Jedi standards that doesn't necessarily mean she can't learn how to use the Force. Or maybe it does, I admit, I have no idea, that depends on what Force potential actually means. Does it mean the higher the M Count the stronger your abilities are and the more abilities you can get? Does it mean the higher the M Count the easier you can achive the same abilities as all others, even if it takes a long time? Or is it a mix of both? Depending on wich of these possabilties is true, it means that someone without notable M Count should not or indeed should be able to achive Force abilities through intensive training. It's a really hard topic, I'm not sure if there's really a right answer to it. But this goes very into details and it's really just me theorizing but like I said, from a dramaturgical point of view, it really could've been handled better.
I'm sure it makes sense in-universe but the transition could've been a little smoother.

I love how most of the characters on this list are from the Sequel Trilogy which further shows how much the people who wrote the sequel trilogy didn't understand how to make a good character. In fact, most characters in movies are as smart as the writers and other people behind said movies. Writers like Rian Johnson and JJ Abrams, and the producer Kathleen Kennedy have shown to be incompatent, self centered, careless, and only caring about pushing agendas. It wouldn't surprise me if the bad characters in the Sequels were a reflection of themselves...
It’s also telling how the non sequel characters (Ezra and the prequel characters) are now well regarded since the creators took steps to make them likable and develop them. The sequels approach to unliked characters is DELETE IMMEDIATELY
Kylo ren is at least better than Rey and half the characters in last Jedi. The Acting from Adam Driver is amazing even sequel haters which is like 80% of the fandom can agree that Ben Solo is the best character in the sequels.
Kathleen Kennedy actually was producer for Jurassic Park back in the 90s. Also I still dont see how theres any supposed agenda in the Star Wars sequels. Its just mediocre inoffensive corporate slop. Yall act like its I Spit On Your Grave or Irreversible.

That single action messes with thousands of years worth of lore. Like why tf wouldnt any ship that knows they are losing just pull that move. It couldve singlehandedly changed the outcome of so many wars. Its so dumb i cant believe they actually did it.
I've decided for myself by this point that no matter what anyone tells me, the sequel trilogy is not canon. It wasn't made by George Lucas himself, so I do not accept it as part of his world.
Star Wars Have 2 different Cannons that are incompatible with each other, the Legends/Classic Cannon, and Disney Cannon.
Disney Cannon not only made the lore of the universe worse, but erased so much lore that was added by the books. Any fans of the books would have disregarded what Disney did from the beginning.
I stopped paying attention to Star Wars mostly cause I don't care about Disney Cannon, the world is still legends Canon to me.
@ Precisely my point. I’m glad someone else shares my opinion
People often make what is canon and what’s not really over complicated but I’ll make it easy;
If the creator hates the brand and series, what they make isn’t canon
Only George Lucas' 6 Star Wars movies are canon. Everything else is at best fanfiction and at worst the Disney trainwreck. They need to restart everything from scratch with only Lucas' 6 movies being canon (sorry Rogue One and Andor). They did it before with the EU, so it can absolutely happen again.

Bro I love Anakin 😢
I think Anakin's behaviour in AOTC is fine, remember, the kid didn't have a normal childhood.
2:19 This was after he lost his mother and killed the whole village who had captured and tortured her. Anakin had a right to be emotional, especially with the Jedi who forbid emotions and personal attactchmgents instead of teaching how to control them (they had reasons for this, but it often led some to hide their feelings, letting them boil over time and joining the Dark Side anyways). Also, Qui-Gon never found Anakin annoying, in fact, he wanted Anakin to come along and join the Jedi; even if the Jedi themselves wanted to refuse Anakin. Only Obi-Wan saw him as, “Another useless life form”, comparing him to Jar Jar and thought it would be wise to listen to the Jedi Counsel’s decision on Anakin, only for Qui-Gon to say, “I will do what I must” in opposition.
Fans didn't hate Jar Jar and give the actor shit about him, the media did.

@swegboy0238 in some cases, yes. Dave Filoni I know is controversial, but he's consistently put out the best on screen Star Wars content since the prequels ended. Clone Wars, Rebels, Bad Batch, Mandalorian, Ahsoka. Its not so much Disney as an umbrella as it is people with lack of vision

Ahsoka should have stayed dead.
I’m very surprised that you didn’t know people hated Jar Jar, even if you, like me, like him yourself. As for Ashoka and Ezra, I’m pretty sure the vast majority of fans liked the animated version of them, and only really didn’t like their recent, live action adaptations, which I more than understand, even if I think you should hate the show, not the character.

The reason why Anakin is arrogant and bold is because of his position as the Chosen One, it gives him a sense of purpose, of significance, of conscience. And that sort of position can make ANYONE a little self-absorbed. And the reason why he’s creepy is because he basically lives in a cult or religion that includes self isolation, no one could resist being socially awkward than he is.

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT ROSE AND THE HAMFISTED LOVE SCENE THEY TRIED TO PUSH ON US. To be fair these movies happened during the 2010’s and that whole decade was a blur of mediocrity when it came to starwars.
I think the thing that is important, in the critique and hate on Rey, is that her character's journey was scrawled really hastily. For ex. the thing tthat she is a granddaughter of Palps was made few weeks before shooting the XI chapter. In prequels everything was coherent. Sequel trilogy got their last movie's director changed in the last second, to the director that wrote the first movie. Which made the skirmish between two main directors. Basically, I think, the Rey character could be MUCH better if she was coherent and consequent. Not like in IX movie, where her story looked like this: "You are a palpatine, but actually this doesn't matter because you are good, but actually no you are a sith, but actually you are a skywalker so it makes you a good person, blah blah blah"
For me, lack of coherent vision is on of the most agregious problems with the sequels. Hiring a different director for each movie and giving them a free hand is not how you make a good trilogy
The Inquisitors were basically the Sith boy scouts; Jedi going through an emo phase. Maul was so full of hate he survived being cut in half. Vader hates himself so much he's basically unstoppable. As for Sidious? He's just pure evil. There's not a flicker of light in him.

2:46 One thing I especially love is that both Rogue One and the Kenobi series both in their own ways built off of Lanter’s portrayal of Anakin from The Clone Wars. I really feel like, if nothing else, the show redeemed the character greatly.
I mean, I really prefer anikan I can. He has some valid reasons why he became the dark side. He lost his mother he lost an arm. He got shredded on Musta far. He also got rejected by the Jedi council, and not to mention how his master was slain by darth mall
A big issue with Anakin is that most of his character arc only exists in the Clone Wars TV show. The Prequels kinda speed through it without a real arc to him becoming a Sith.
@@eightcoins4401 Anakin had no development in TCW, he's not even the same character, they just made a new character and gave him minimal development by slightly changing his character between seasons (much like Ashoka) the Prequels did a good job at developing Anakins character and would've done a better job if George Lucas hadn't cut a lot of Anakin and Palpatines scenes together because everyone mindlessly agreed with some m*r0n on the internet that the Phantom Menace was slow and boring because he could sit through a movie unless it has non stop action instead of an interesting story

Something to note: as well as having to have training in the force, you need to be struck by force lightning once to use it. That’s why anakin never could, as well as many other sith.
Also I just realised: this is the first time I got the first comment on a video!
Anakin could have if he used it right after palpatine electrocuted him in Return Of The Jedi
@@quickbrickkkkk it would’ve killed him faster than if he was electrocuted
He actually has Force Lightning in the GBA version of the Episode III videogame. I'd assume that is very much not canon though.
I would heavily recommend the game, its actualyl a pretty fun 2d beat em up with a really good artstyle. Way better than its "proper" console version.
Yet Dark Jedi could use it just because. And then you have Plo Koon who never was striken by Lightning yet he developed his own version of it. And you also have Darth Nox who's signature ability is different types of Lightnings, and he's not really electrocured through storyline. Anakin just had prosthetics, and as cyborg he would most likely eloctrocute himself
@@mrzirak792Ploo Koon's versión was suposedly an old technique almost completely forgotten.

This is not his reaction to someone saying Jar Jar was a mistake, its actually his reaction to being called the creator of Mara Jade (a hated character from the comics) and is very much a staged joke.
I'll take Ezra, Jar jar, child Anakin, and Ahsoka, even from the early seasons over Holdo, Reva, REYYYY!, Rose Tico, or the fact that they ruined Smoke anyday.
I loved Ezra, and I think Ashoka ruined him, Season 4 in Rebels gave him a good ending. I never had a problem with him till Ashoka.
When I was a child, I absolutely love Jar Jar Binks, in way I still do.
I grew up watching classic CN when they had funny cartoons, dextor's laboratory, Powerpuff girls, courage the cowardly dog. When seeing Jar Jar just immediately reminded me of those cartoons.
The character in a small way also help with become the more clownish person (to unlock a hidden comedy trait I mean) of my friend group before life hit me in the balls.
Then to top of it off, a few years back I learned everybody absolutely hated Jar Jar and it made me even more depressed. I wasn't just hit in the balls by life put the sheer hated was like a car running over my head.
Jar Jar is a great character, anyone who says otherwise has never had an opinion that wasnt parroted from someone else.
I didn’t rlly mind Jar Jar. I was one of the few that actually liked him. He was annoying some times, but he didn’t bother me that much. Other times he was pretty funny. He ain’t the worst character. That title belongs to Rey Palpatine.
I dont understand how people could dislike Ezra, he is totally the coolest, smartest, and most handsome of all time. I mean who else thinks of a blaster Lightsaber or a wrist mounted sling shot?
Bro is an official Ezra glazer
@KingOfJerusalemIV nah I'm Jabba the Hutt
Jar Jar: I honestly like how he's become an ironically loved character through the whole "Darth Jar Jar" meme and theory. Though I wish the theory focused less on his "seemingly random gestures" (which are really just to make him look alive) and more on how he apparently knows how to use a freakin' lightsaber, since then it actually makes sense instead of being a huge reach.
Anakin: You basically said what I was going to say about him. Though, I do want to note that there's some issues with him in RotS. Specifically, the _lack_ of any sort of emotion we see in him. Sure, he's a Jedi. What he _isn't_ is an emotionless automaton like most Jedi are, but unfortunately that's what we're given in RotS. Even after his fall, when he's supposed to be angry, it comes off as a cold disgust rather than the self-rightous fury it's portrayed to be. But I get the feeling that's mostly because GL was overcompensating for complaints about Anakin's "angsty, hormonal teenage phase" in AotC.
Rey: Ah, Rey. You know, Daisy Ridley actually didn't like playing her, and the lack of engagement with the role is very apparent. Now, her ability to use the force proficiently without training actually is rooted in lore - after all, she _is_ a clone of The Senate, who was ALSO innately gifted like that. Anyway, I wouldn't say she doesn't struggle at all, but she doesn't struggle _much._ Still, her half of TLJ's plot was basically her struggling to get Luke to get off his ass and do something about the First Order. Honestly, I feel she wouldn't be _as_ hated if we saw her in TLJ first before TFA because of that. Finally, as for carrying the Skywalker name, pretty sure she does so as a title, not as her actual last name.
Rose Tico: Yeah, she's basically a nothing burger of a character.
Holdo: You know, half of TLJ's plot could have been completely avoided had just ONE of her lines been slightly different. Instead of "you'll just have to trust us, we have a plan", she could have said something like "we have a plan but for security reasons we can't share it, we believe there's a First Order informant among our ranks". Basically, at least explain _why_ she couldn't share the plan.
Hux: Honestly, I never got that "strong" vibe from Hux in TFA. The moment he showed up, I knew this guy was going to be the snivling lackie.
Snoke: Honestly, Snoke is the biggest example of why you should never let JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson collaborate on anything. Their directing styles are incompatible - the whole point of Abrams' "Mystery Box" is to build up expectations for a big reveal, and Rian Johnson's focus on subverting those expectations causes a total breakdown of that. It's not necessarily the fault of either director, just a massive incompatibility.
Ahsoka: Another character where you've already said what I was going to. She's definitely a rags to riches story here.
Ezra: Honestly, I feel like he would have been another Ahsoka if he was given the chance.
Maz: People hate Maz? From what I've seen most people are either indifferent or mildly like her. But she's also a huge point of speculation. She's not force sensitive _as far as we know based solely on her movie appearances,_ but she has way too much knowledge of the Force to justify that. In short, she's theory bait.
Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister: There's a lot of internal dissonance with the Inquisitors in general here. They're supposed to be Vader's direct underlings, directly trained by him, and responsible for tracking down Jedi and eliminating any that don't pose enough of a threat to justify Vader personally appearing. But when they actually show up? They're absolute pushovers that _the padawan of a padawan_ could handle. And honestly I think that's part of the issue with them - we get told that they're this huge threat, only for them to get reverse-worf'd. Also, I love the comparison to Jessie and James from Team Rocket.
Reva: Who the heck wrote this character?
Good takes, liked reading your perspective
i think one of the reasons why people hate Holdo is that her plotline would be fix by simply adding the idea of a traitor amongst them, who's been feeding the order information about their plans, that could then explain why so much secrecy between her and the others.
Space Aladdin XD. Also I was worried when Asoka was on the list
Ezra is a great character that maybe didn’t learn from his mistakes but he was the only one with the balls to do what is right and scream for freedom in a galaxy so damaged by the empire at least he learn about loss and did the ultimate sacrifice just like his master
I'm pretty sure TLJ *wants* you to hate Admiral Holdo. The constant script rewrites just lead to her character arc being near inexistant. I think they intended for her to get slowly less stuck up through the movie and then sacrifice herself as end of her arc. But it never was actually implemented.
Though as bad as the movie is from objective stance, it was the only Star Wars movie since 1982 I found any entertaining. Though I guess that is one upside of how dumb the script is at points.
Aight but imagine if there is a Jar Jar spinoff but it shows him slowly grow out of his comedy thing, and became almost saddening, as he ends up realizing his lands were slowly being culled away by the empire
I love Ahsoka and will always love her
Yeah bro how do you hate Ahsoka
@@AlexandraBaret-lm9ci if you know the you know and just do. Like, if you were a around here for longer and was following the franchise since TPMs release, would read all the canon media that had every month of Clone Wars shown, then would watch Episode 3 and THEN TCW that shows a sudden padawan thats never been hinted at anywhere else, even in George's scripts. Thats why he wanted her to be killed off by the end of the show.
@@mrzirak792 oh ok. That makes sense but I still love Ahsoka
About Ahsoka Tano : Feed em' shit every day until they like it
I like JarJar Binks as a character
Yes, i've said It... fight me
I will only ever slightly understand Ezra hate, but to be honest I always liked him, my favorite from the animated Star Wars shows
No Rosh Penin?
Can't help but think the title should be "What went wrong with 90% of the Disney Star Wars characters. Oh and Jar Jar"
BotaS blr jablu'DI' reH QaQqu' nay' (Revenge is a dish best served cold)!
Idea for the next video:
Every BELOVED Star Wars character explained
Literally had that on my mind, however, i find it hard to narrow down as there are sooo many great characters, but i might just make a top 10 or something
Welp Ahsoka and Ezra have now both regressed into hollow shells as of their live action debuts 😂
Holdo is what happens when someone tries to pass off Pong Krell as a good guy.
You know his “GET OUT OF THIS OFFICE NOW” thing was just a bit, right?
Yes, i just thought it'd be a fun inclusion
Im not gonna lie, I kind of enjoy Jar Jar as a character later on.
His slapstick and stupidity almost becomes so ridiculous and over the top that it becomes comedic in a full circle or bell curve moment.
Like 1 movie later and you’re seeing him hand over the entire republic to the most evil person in the galaxy.
This random ass frog man caused a mass genocide and a 20 year dictatorship all because he just happened to be walking in the woods one day.
Amiral Holdo could have been a veteran in the galactic civil war, she could have a robotic hand or a scar of the gcw and maybe she could have PTSD of the "New Deathstar" with visions of Alderand being exploded in bits. It's the sequels, souless cash grab
I didnt know ppl didnt like ezra, i love him man, him and Cal are 2 of my favorite addition to new lore
My biggest problem with Ahsoka is her stupid backwards lightsaber "fighting style"
So the apprentice? Both Anakin apprentices fight like that...I wonder why?
I liked Reva. Her backstory was very unique and her lashing out randomly makes sense for a dark side user who uses passion for strength. The actress did a good job and I disagree that she wasnt written well
Lol no way. She was HORRIBLE
The reason that Ashoka was hated at first because that was intentional. They wanted to make her annoying at first to show her growth over time. It was a gamble, but it paid off. At least that was my take on it.
"If you kill your enemies, they win."
~ Rose Tico, pretty much.
Ashoka is a plot protected character,
Ezra suffered in two place: being in forced into nearly every episode. There were multiple times when someone said "no Ezra you are not right for the mission" then sent him in anyway.
plus his darkside stint was way too short.
JarJar is a Sith Lord and master tactician. All that transpired was by his design.
The sequel trilogy shouldn’t exist as it deserves the hate it gets as I don’t hate Jar Jar as I hate everyone else but I really like the idea of Snoke being Darth Plagueis and wish that was the case or even Thecomixkid2099 fix on the sequel trilogy which I highly recommend.
People used to say the same thing about the Prequels. The Prequels were just as hated when they came out as the Sequels right now.
To me Star Wars partially died in 1982 then fully after 1982.
@@eightcoins4401 crap
Prequels got a shit ton of extra material as the movies were released
This proves that there was a fandom Who liked them, despite many Fair criticism
Sequels got NOTHING, barely any comics, no animated shows, no books, no multimedia project
As a non native english speaker, I couldn't understand Jar Jar at all unless I turn on subtitles, his voice is so high pitched.
I feel like the Star Wars fandom has come around to Jar Jar after a while. They kinda went from hating him, to liking him ironically, to liking him unironically.
Or maybe that's just me
I've noticed that on this video, of course it's just a small sample but literally every second comment is someone talking about how much they like JarJar, it's quite fascinating to say the least
In my opinion, I think Pong Krell should be added to the list because of his maltreatment of clones and turning them against each other.
I'm not sure about the validity of it, but I heard somewhere that Ahsoka was intentionally written to be unlikable at the start because the writers knew the fandom was gonna hate her no matter what (let's be honest, they were absolutely right to think that), and then they used that to enable character growth.
I like Jar Jar..
I do too! I love it when he gives Papa Palpatine emergency powers to create the GAR.
@@bullseyebob4160The whole senate cheered that idea and after everything messed up they mocked him, how ironic.
Me too; in the clone wars series he's insufferable though...
I like him too :)
"Surely the large amount of screen time would make her a likeable relatable character, right?"
WRONG
*Shotgun blasts*
Palpatine’s power rapidly degrades clones degrades anyway so he focuses on them being strong in the Force. This is why he didn’t care about the clone that fathered Rey until Rey was born. As for Rey choosing the Skywalker name (which Luke agreed to, mind you.) Would rather have your last name be Lincoln or Hitler?
Lincoln did suspend habius corpus, that's a real dictator move.
What editing software do you use
Looks like google slides, but I could be wrong
It's videoscribe :)
You dont need TCW to see anakins development. I would argue that the original clone wars microseries was far more consistent with his character. Also its far easier to consume as it can be watched as one movie.
Thing is, Rey being Palpatine's granddaughter IS explained, but that explanation raises so many more questions and plot holes, and isn't done in a very natural way.
The explanation is that Palpatine had a contingency plan for when he was killed, which consisted of having clones of himself. One such clone, however, I guess, didn't want to fulfil his purpose to Palpatine, and instead ran off, and got married to a woman, who then gave birth to Rey. After that they were both murdered by the OG Palpatine (somehow). So now you're left with so many more questions as to why, if Palpatine had clones of himself hidden away somewhere, that never came to play. Why did he allow the New Republic government to be established, when he had the means to keep it going? And many more extra questions.
