Deer hunting the rut is a ton of fun and provides a lot of action. Big deer move quickly across food plots in search of that beautiful willing doe. This season has been one of being on your toes or you could miss a great monster whitetail deer.
Our food plots have done their job of holding a lot of does and therefore we saw a lot of whitetail buck activity moving across our farm. We’ve never seen most of these whitetail bucks before. These big "traveler" whitetails are the reason we hunt the rut. These white tailed bucks tend to travel far, appear quickly and run fast making it hard to get a shot at times.
In this video, Bop's takes a traveler whitetail in our "Big Buck" plot. He was a 9-pointer with a very symmetrical rack. This big deer came walking across the foodplot at about 150 yards and Bop's put the BAM on him.
White tailed deer hunting in Georgia is hot this year and many hunters are taking really big deer. The massive acreage across big farms provides a lot of forage for growing big deer. Farm crops and foodplot management have helped our deer grow bigger and we are seeing the difference.
Thanks for watching!

Love what you're doing. Nothing like building wonderful family memories. Thanks for sharing.
So true! We love building memories together and look forward to each season! Thank you for commenting!
Looking forward to Rut Week 2020 videos! Y'all are proof that hard work pays off.
Thank you! Can’t believe that we are already into July! Time to start getting ready. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a successful season for all.
They left me the smallest one but that’s ok...maybe next year! LOL. We had a crazy good season-best ever! Never a dull moment! Thanks for watching!
We have struggled with getting deer into our trucks as well. Now we just use a cargo carrier in the receiver. Lots easier to lift the deer up a couple feet. Keep up the good content.
Great idea! We usually throw them on a small trailer and then lift them with a hoist and back the truck under and then drop. It can be tough getting heavy deer in a truck if you are taking them to a processor. Thanks for watching and sharing!
Man, yall getting some nice deer in that one spot, here in N.C. you don't see that many nice bucks in a season, I know yall have some full freezers.
Freezers are full!! We had our best season ever for sure. We worked hard to hold a lot of does and the bucks that came were “travelers” from far away. We had only seen one on camera. Not sure we will ever have another season like this...it’s usually tough hunting. Thanks for watching and good luck hunting!
Man a season to remember. You guys had a wonderful year! What did he shoot that with?
He shot it with a .243. Definitely our best season yet! It’s all coming together!
Absolutely love your channel and your how to build videos man! Been watching your videos for awhile now and I've built some of your builds!
Would you possibly do a video on your tree camera mounts? The ones that screw into the tree. I'm like you and hate the strap that comes with them. I know you said something about selling them but havnt seen them anywhere.
Thank you again!!!
Thanks Andrew! Glad you enjoy our channel! I’ll have to put the tree mount vid on my list...great suggestion! I’m still working on perfecting the bracket so stay tuned! Take care!
Curious which builds you’ve done?
The Handy Hunter Im currently doing your deer feeder solar build for 12 volt. Buildijg two of those for a new property I'm setting up at the end of the season.
Im getting the supplies for the solar cameras but I'm using the blaze video trail cameras, can't afford the strike force just yet lol. Once you get the tree mount video up its getting built a few days after!
Andrew Chadbourne I’ve used Blaze Video before. Good little camera for the price. I like that it takes pics and vids at the same time. Good luck on your solar builds...you will be happy-trust me!
What county? I’ve got a couple leases in middle Georgia myself.
