PLEASE DO THE FULL SUCCULENT AND CACTUS REPOTTING VIDEO!! I always loveeee seeing all of your other kinds of plants and would want to see your full collection of them since they are my favorite kinds of plants! Btw you’re awesome!
May I suggest you get a 12-18 inch piece of PVC pipe and glue a cap on the one end. Then you can use 2-3 large cable ties to attach it to one of the legs on your cart. You can the use this to hold you poles and plant supports out of the way but easily accessible. If you have a lot of each you could put a second pipe on another leg, (diagonly opposite), to put the poles in one and plant supports in the other. (** Ask a local plumber if they have any odd size pieces of PVC pipe, then you wouldn't need to get a full 6-8ft pipe. Unless you wanted to have it around like me 😁).
Loved this video! We would enjoy seeing all of your cactus and succulent repots! Its been a minute since youve shown them all on your channel and we miss them! We would love a long repotting and update video!
My grandma used to make her own breading by putting saltines in a zip loc and crushing them with a kitchen roller til they were course to her liking. Maybe you could do that to your jumbo perlite? 😂
Absolutely love all of your content but long videos from you are an extra joy to watch😊 Please do the cactus video repot separately, I am sure some of us are cacti succulent lovers too😆
I feel like you should get a rolling tool box or service cart from harbor freight to house all your stuff! They look cool and are extremely functional!
I usually make my own mix. Have been for about 40yrs!!😂 Back then, they just had soil. If you wanted more in it, you had to add it. I love mixing it all up. Feeling it in my hand to see if its what i want. Then planting.🪴🦎
It's refreshing to see someone else with a dust, crusty-ass cart LOL You encouraged me to reorganize mine because I completely forgot it had a drawer and now it looks a lot nicer!
Yes to a repotting all your cacti/succulents video! Love her pots so much! I never end up getting what I want, but always end up with something lol. Love the iridescent colors.
Yess the salt and vinegar trick is so slick! I use it often when cleaning glass that has a smaller opening. Rubbing alcohol works well too if you are out of vinegar. I moved a few months after you and I'm still trying to get my supplies organized 😅 I need to get my ish together too, the nicer weather has definitely helped with motivation some. Love your new pots they look so nice!
Your new pot with the clouds on it is giving me strong Legends and Lattes vibes haha. I can just picture a cute little latte in there with a matching plant in the shop XD
Thank you for being real about the laundry rack. I have the same one and I have this persistent nightmare that I’ve forgotten to take it down and there are all my delicates on my video meeting. 😂
There's a Canadian Etsy shop that I came across last year, that makes the cutest pots & hanging pots! I've ordered multiple times and my only hanging planters are from them! I'll have to check this shop out too! Those pots you got are so cute!!
I have a cart and a two dedicated shelf units (one being a 8-er Kalkar with two sets of drawers and 2 doors plus bins). The top of my cart is empty because I fill watering cans and put them there to lug around water when I do water. Middle shelf holds tools and bits and bobs I need to do pruning, inspections, ties, as well as pump bottles for different fertilizers, etc. And most used liquids on the bottom (fertilizers, etc.) in bottles. And I have hooks attached to the top shelf for brushes and rags on one side, and a roll of paper towels on the other side.
I love to watch repotting videos. I would definitely watch if you do all your cacti. They also make interesting subjects for potting with their spiny selves 😅
Hi Fern, now that you are gardening, you might want to hang on to your moisture meter. It may be helpful to learn when your garden needs to be watered under different conditions. That's where I use mine now. Thanks for all of your content!💚
I use a kitchen island cart for plant stuff. It has a butcher block top, so I clamped a plant light to the top for plants. There is a towel bar on the side that I hang spray bottles on. I keep clips/ tools/ random bits in the drawer. And I use the cupboard for fertilizer, pest control, pots and saucers. It has worked super well for me and it’s pretty 😊 love your channel! Also I am a fellow Canadian!
18:34 I loved Beccas plantapotty so much and did a DIY. Got a black rectangle bin that fits on the top from Princess auto and an old baking cooling rack I had and made it a little rolling watering/supplies station! Love these long videos 💚
I'm literally mixing my soil as you're asking if we mix our own. 😊 one of my favorite parts of planting. Makes feel like I'm giving them special treatment lol
I just started this video, super excited 😁 but had to jump on and say that I’m obsessed with that sweater on you!! What a gorgeous color 😍 Made me realize I’ve never worn anything that color and now I just miiiight 🙂💚
I would love to see you pot up all of your cacti. I just purchased my first cactus which is a Monkey Tail Cactus. Hopefully I can keep it happy. I love your new pots! Very unique 💚
With your tall sticks if you put some rice, sand, rocks or something like that in the bottom it won’t fall over 😊 I used to do that with my knitting needles
Ok so yes yes yes to a video with all the cactus repots! And the Hoya too! I would especially love to see which ones you put in those STUNNING new pots!!
this video is a LIFESAVER for me since I'm packing up my college apartment in preparation for my graduation. Such a nice, low energy vid to listen to while I pack!
Yes would love to see all your cacti and succulents repots is my favourite videos as i only collect these plants and Hoya too. I don’t grow tropical and Aroids.
I also make my own soil mix. I use coco coir, worm castings (for nutrients), medium size perlite, and an orchid bark that has horticultural charcoal in it. I also will add more of one thing for certain types of plants and also lately been adding any sphagnum petels that are at the bottom of my sphagnum bag or come off after reporting a sphagnum plant. Been loving that mix and has been helping a lot. For my succulents since I don’t have a lot I usually buy a bag of succulent soil (actually got the Mollys succulent mix because of you) so very excited to experiment with that this year.
Yayyy🎉🥳🙌 i am soooo grateful, in advance, for your hoya repot!!!! It sounds like it is gonna come out at such perfect timing for me selfishly hahaha. I have 7-8 hoyas to up-pot PLUS i am literally about to open my very first Planthaven Toronto order and i have 8 new hoyas🫣🤭😁 💚💚💚💚
I have 2 carts like that but I use those for craft supplies. I keep my planty stuff all over the place! I have a shelf unit in my laundry room for some stuff. That could use a cleaning out. I could probably fit more on it if I organize it better. My pots are what I am in desperate need of a dedicated spot for them!! That scoop looks like the one from Miracle Gro plant food.
A super easy mix that seems to work well for me is a mix of “regular” potting mix and a cactus/succulent mix. I do like you and keep them separate and have some of it mixed and it’s easy to adjust if I need more drainage or less drainage. On new plants I’ll add some worm castings. I need some orchid bark! 💗
I was able to get all the filing done here at work ehile having your video play in the background 😊 thanks! And thankd for the motivation to go through my things as well
Can’t wait to use the salt and vinegar hack.. in the past I used rice grains and some soap water to clean bottles which works too but need to shake a bit more😅 btw love your videos wildfern ! Don’t ever change 💚🪴🍵🪴💚
Love you comment about it’s all fine until they get grow! I hear ya! I have plants that are all getting 5-6 feet tall, some on trellises and I have room, but rearranging these big boys to be aesthetically pleasing as well as in the correct lighting is such a challenge! Also my partner likes our view, so compromise on window space is needed . Love your videos !❤
Aye! Happy belated birthday to me, it was yesterday the 1st, :D I love waking up after a crazy birthday to an hour long video from one of my favorite creators! Thanks so much Fern!! 🌻🌹🌷🐞🐞🐞
Hi Fern! We had our kitchen remodeled last year and I have tons of cabinet space. I put all my plant supplies in the kitchen cabinets designated for my plant supplies. I need to organize it now that I have seen your video. 😂 I keep my fertilizer in the laundry room though away from the plant supplies just to be safe.
I love my plant cart too! I have a couple little containers that hang on the ends that have my little pruners and syringes. Little things that get lost. I understand the plant growing issue. I have a small bungalow and my glass cabinet is a small one so when the Hoya grow I don’t know what to do with them.. I am up for anything you want to video. Filming all the repotting may be a lot for you. Have a super day! 💜 and I have sooo many pots from soleilriumand she made a special food dish for my kitten..
I usually make my own potting mix. I part Osmocote potting mix, 1 part Osmocote cactus potting mix, 1 part potting charcoal, 3 parts perlite & 1 part pumice. I love an airy, fluffy mix to create open pockets for roots. You are so well orgainised.. Love the 3 tier plant tray!!! My chore this morning was to change the nutrient solution for all my plants in Leca. Big job 😮💨. Loved your video!!! 💚
I have a Baggebo shelf I use to store all my planty supplies that's so cluttered it's bothering me lol. This video is inspiring me to get rid of the shelf and use a cart instead! Minimal is what I'm aiming for :)
I pretty much do the same mix as you although I use less bark. Chunky perlite is so hard to find. I have found hoyas need alot of light to bloom. Mine is also huge but never bloomed until I hung it outside in the late spring. My windows just don't get enough light. Putting yours on top of your cabinet may not be enough light for blooms. I have bottles with green that I can't scrub so will try salt and vinegar. I super love this video not just for the tip but that there wasn't annoying music that I have to mute. I watch alot of videos that have the horrid constant drum beat and it drives me crazy lol I live in Coquitlam, close to Vancouver so hugs and best wishes from your neighbour❤
11:48 i propagated a pink princess in this mix and lol it rooted SO fast 15:38 you could also use vinegar but salt is better cuz theres no smell 18:38 I aspire to be as organized as you 😭 omg 20:33 diatomaceous earth is good when using the powder. it works against EVERY living insect
Aa planty creative people always want to keep everything. Im trying to declutter this year. Im.listening to a slob comes clean podcast. Shes soo relatable. They say we always say "just in case". Lol 🤣 love your videos
I love the idea of adding decor to the Vittsjo. I’ve been thinking of doing the same to add non-plant decor, but can’t think of how. I will be following to see what you do.😊
perfect timing! i'm tiding and cleaning my whole apartment for a showing tomorrow and this will be perfect to keep me company! ALSO that hack with the salt to clean out bottles? amazing for my mason jar that I use to prop since i have yet to buy a brush to clean them! thank you!
I have a storage area in my basement that I have all my planting stuff on shelves neatly tucked away, but I love your idea of a cart on wheels. I think I have to rethink how I organize my planting stuff
The cheap way, but my plants are doing well with it. I get Jiffy seed starter mix in a bag it's like $7 & Better-gro mix orchid medium the big bag is $8. They have a few kinds. If I have it on hand I add more perlite if it calls for it. I don't go out of my way for it though. I just started experimenting with pumice (I always wanted to, it's not cheap so that's why I have always used perlite). Also, just like different plants like different types of soil... You have to remember what you are as a waterer and what material your pots are made of!!! It is a key. Read the bag of soil/potting mix! They have different things. The one I use is mostly coco choir with peat moss & vermiculate. I specifically picked it, because it doesn't have a "moisture agent" like some do. That's bad for an over-water. Honestly, if you only have money to buy the cheapest thing on the market with nothing else... Try it and you can still grow plants just adjust watering. If you love plants, but are short on cash then do it! No one should be priced out of this hobby! Just be careful not to experiment too much with the more costly plants. 🪴
Perfect!! An hour long fern vid to start my day 🌱
Omg hiiiii 🥹🌱 hope your day is amazing!
I watch your videos too😊
Would love to see all of your repotting please.
Everyone loves Fern!
Omg I don’t know how but it would be amazing to have a collab!
PLEASE DO THE FULL SUCCULENT AND CACTUS REPOTTING VIDEO!! I always loveeee seeing all of your other kinds of plants and would want to see your full collection of them since they are my favorite kinds of plants! Btw you’re awesome!
I also agree!
Yes, please! Another succulent lover here 😊

Agreed. Let’s see em! 👏🏼👏🏼
Satisfying bottle cleaning hack
My grandma used to make her own breading by putting saltines in a zip loc and crushing them with a kitchen roller til they were course to her liking. Maybe you could do that to your jumbo perlite? 😂
I was thinking this too! It's worked for me before.
Smart!
Absolutely love all of your content but long videos from you are an extra joy to watch😊
Please do the cactus video repot separately, I am sure some of us are cacti succulent lovers too😆
52:36 give us ALL the cacti and succies ❤❤😂😂
I feel like you should get a rolling tool box or service cart from harbor freight to house all your stuff! They look cool and are extremely functional!
Would love to see the FULL cactus and succulents repot video!! ❤❤❤
These are my favorite videos! 💚 longer videos, the better for me 😍🪴✨
Yes, please, a long video with repotting succulents. I am a succulent lady, I would love to see it. Thank you, dear Fern. XX
That salt and vinegar hack is about to change my life 🤩
I’m down to see all the cactus and succulents! I love a long video 😋
Nothing more satisfying than making your own potting mix! ❤
THE QUEEN POSTED 💚💚💚💚💚 cant wait to relax and watch this tonight.💚
Thank you for sharing everything is always amazing
Definitely repot all in a video! I love the long videos cause I need longer things to watch while I'm doing my 90 million plant chores😅
🦋🦋🦋
I usually make my own mix. Have been for about 40yrs!!😂 Back then, they just had soil. If you wanted more in it, you had to add it. I love mixing it all up. Feeling it in my hand to see if its what i want. Then planting.🪴🦎
Girl! Do a long video. Pot all the plants. I’m here for it. Over an hour or two (😉)is awesome!!!
Me too, me too count me in ❤
It's refreshing to see someone else with a dust, crusty-ass cart LOL You encouraged me to reorganize mine because I completely forgot it had a drawer and now it looks a lot nicer!
You’re really getting it cleaned up. It’s gonna look so good.
Can you believe we are almost halfway through the year already? Gosh, time is flying! I'd love a full succulent and cactus video!
Yes to a repotting all your cacti/succulents video! Love her pots so much! I never end up getting what I want, but always end up with something lol. Love the iridescent colors.
Your new Begonia is a cutie patutie, awww I love the baby flower on her
Your videos have taught me so much about plants and propagation! Love them! And I love to do my own mix and find it very satisfying!
Yess the salt and vinegar trick is so slick!
I use it often when cleaning glass that has a smaller opening. Rubbing alcohol works well too if you are out of vinegar.
I moved a few months after you and I'm still trying to get my supplies organized 😅
I need to get my ish together too, the nicer weather has definitely helped with motivation some. Love your new pots they look so nice!
To clean out those bottles you can also use pon or sand and then it’s reusable since those don’t dissolve in water!
Glad to come on to UA-cam and see a new Fern video. Great way to start the day.
I have the same problem! Darn plants outgrowing their space! It's rather inconvenient 😂
Your new pot with the clouds on it is giving me strong Legends and Lattes vibes haha. I can just picture a cute little latte in there with a matching plant in the shop XD
Vinegar is a great cleaner salt is very coarse. Makes sense they would clean like that.
Thank you for being real about the laundry rack. I have the same one and I have this persistent nightmare that I’ve forgotten to take it down and there are all my delicates on my video meeting. 😂
That coarse salt and vinegar hack was amazing 🤯 I have so many things that are difficult to clean 😀 Your plant cart turned out awesome too 😀🇨🇦
Right!! So great to know lol. Thank you for watching :)
Mixing your soil is such an ASMR
There's a Canadian Etsy shop that I came across last year, that makes the cutest pots & hanging pots! I've ordered multiple times and my only hanging planters are from them!
I'll have to check this shop out too! Those pots you got are so cute!!
did you see what this shop is called? idk if I missed it
The star pottery is THE most beautiful thing ✨🥹✨

The brushes are great when repotting Cactus get all the dirty out of it i needed this thanks girl
Good morning!! Just in time to enjoy my cup of coffee and breakfast on this cozy gloomy day! 💚
I love to watch repotting videos. I would definitely watch if you do all your cacti. They also make interesting subjects for potting with their spiny selves 😅

I'm literally mixing my soil as you're asking if we mix our own. 😊 one of my favorite parts of planting. Makes feel like I'm giving them special treatment lol
Ooo, you should buy a cutie ceramic yarn bowl for your twine to live in! Easy to use and keeps it tidy as ❤
I just started this video, super excited 😁 but had to jump on and say that I’m obsessed with that sweater on you!! What a gorgeous color 😍 Made me realize I’ve never worn anything that color and now I just miiiight 🙂💚
OMG, that is a very cute pot. I love the two tone of it
EVERY. SINGLE. ONE ❤i’ve been waiting for this onnnnne hehe i want to see them allllll🎉
I would love to see you pot up all of your cacti. I just purchased my first cactus which is a Monkey Tail Cactus. Hopefully I can keep it happy. I love your new pots! Very unique 💚

I think the last one is also very cute. What a bunch of beautiful pots.
Ok so yes yes yes to a video with all the cactus repots! And the Hoya too! I would especially love to see which ones you put in those STUNNING new pots!!
Watching you organize is so fun for some reason 😊 Yes! Want to see every single cactus and Succulent video! 🎉
OK wait the pots are so cute. Was not expecting that. Omg
Salt and vinegar, the best hack! Thank you, using this tonight! Also, love the color on your nails. 😍
I like the baby squirt bottles for smaller plants, like succulents. I keep it right next to them.
course salt and vinegar is also what is recommended for cleaning ‘water pourers’ 🍃💨
I’m so grateful for learning tips
this video is a LIFESAVER for me since I'm packing up my college apartment in preparation for my graduation. Such a nice, low energy vid to listen to while I pack!
Awww I hope your move goes super smoothly!! Congratulations on graduating 🥳
Perfect jar! I do have a cart. Probably need to clean it out, too.
Inspired me to clean up and get organised, mess takes over so quickly with plant stuff! 🌿🌿🌿
Yes would love to see all your cacti and succulents repots is my favourite videos as i only collect these plants and Hoya too. I don’t grow tropical and Aroids.

Full cactus and succulent collection repot!!!!! I just got a rat tail cactus after seeing yours and I’m now hyper fixated on them😂
I have 2 carts like that but I use those for craft supplies. I keep my planty stuff all over the place! I have a shelf unit in my laundry room for some stuff. That could use a cleaning out. I always forget the mycho too.
I hear ya! Wowwwww😮 all those planters are a beauty…. I’m loving it 😍
I'm gonna use that vinegar and salt hack like as soon as I can walk away from my computer omg I NEED that!!! Thank you queen
Besides your vlogs on the other channel these are my favorite videos on this channel. I love how long it is with all the task. 🪴
I have a closet with all my plant supplies. I actually just organized it, and cleaned it out, it was cluttered as well.
I use the alcohol pledgets for my shears. Its easier than finding cloth with rubbing alcohol
Wow had no idea about the salt and vinegar 😮 thanks for bringing it to us 😄
Hi! I think you can use white rice in the bottom of a bottle to clean too, just pour the dirty rice in the trash not the sink
Love to start my day with some Fern content! Also, you make me want to wear more bright colors because it’s so cute ☺️
I have a Baggebo shelf I use to store all my planty supplies that's so cluttered it's bothering me lol. This video is inspiring me to get rid of the shelf and use a cart instead! Minimal is what I'm aiming for :)
15:50 I use some pon, water and dish soap to clean my bottles
Love these long videos from Fern! The best! As for the cactus and succulent repots…I would love a long video of alllll of them ❤️🥰🫶🏼🌙

18:38 I aspire to be as organized as you 😭 omg
20:33 diatomaceous earth is good when using the powder. it works against EVERY living insect
Those pots 😍 I think a cactus would look great in the second pot you opened 🌵
I pretty much do what you do in this video!!! It's actually fun to make your own mix.
Aa planty creative people always want to keep everything. Im trying to declutter this year. Im.listening to a slob comes clean podcast. Shes soo relatable. They say we always say "just in case". Lol 🤣 love your videos
I use a cute little storage cabinet to store my planty supplies 🥰 I should really reorganize it though 🤔
Love this video ! The salt and vinegar hack is great❤ Can you do a video on how you make your silica foliar spray?
You can also use rice! Rinse the algae off and then use it again for the next bottle, because it won't dissolve like the salt does.
I’m now using Molly’s Aroid Mix, Bonsai Jack Gritty Mix and Tree Fern for my Alocasia’s and anthurium
Your cart looks beautiful
I love the idea of adding decor to the Vittsjo. I’ve been thinking of doing the same to add non-plant decor, but can’t think of how. I will be following to see what you do.😊
