well its a necessary job, so they do exist but personally my plumbing is tied to the city's water system.
but yeah, now im curious about all these new neighborhoods popping up at the edges of city limits. do they get tied into my city's water supply or the other city's water supply. also do they tie in with the waste water system.
theres like 3 water management systems.
      1) storm water which is routed to canals then the river
      2) waste water which can either be septic system or city's waste water
      3) the tap water system. idk the official name but the water that feeds into the house.
maybe ALL water is tap water but then the toilet water is routed differently than than kitchen sink water.
poop water and washer machine water has different chemical natures. toxic from laundry detergent compared to disease ridden poop.
idk, its an awesome thing to think about but it depends on where your home is located.
city limits can route water lines, but for rural housing its just easier to have them on the septic system.

My company makes us use tarps for the dirt. It saves time, and the yard looks better. The owner also makes his own crust busters by welding a boat propeller onto metal weed wacker heads he found. We use an extension and the modified attachment on regular weed wackers. He calls it a poopeller. Folding arms that are longer would work better, but this was the easiest way to use common parts you can find locally. Plus, if he used steel arms, he would need to replace the whole rod with a solid bar and midify whe whole weedwhacker compared to just making heads. The propeller heads will chop up the inlet and plastic tanks if you're not carefull but also, chop up wipes so we dont have to untangle as much as you do.

It depends a lot on the biological cultures forming in the tank - Like any ecosystem, anything less than a perfect balance will result in residues or unconsumed matter here and there. If you were to eat exactly 100% of your body's needs and nothing above that, chances are you wouldn't produce any poop (As the body digests and uses _everything_ in what you ate) to give a more upstream example. 😇
Efficient bioculture will depend heavily on the local environment, what sort of matter is being put in the tank (Vegetarian matter tends to break down easier, and fats do things no good at all), and various other factors. Toilet cleaners will *not* help (You get a clean loo and a biologically dead septic that can't digest...Well...Brexit💩) and be rather careful with bakers yeast and other „Home hacks“ that could cause as much trouble as it solves! 🎰
For best advice, ask your local pumpers. They'll know the environment and what sort of additives (If needed) and things (Toilet cleaners) to avoid putting down your drains. 👍

  • @joshtheonlyone

I have a question my tank is just one solid tank. There’s no baffle that separates one side from the other. Is that OK? It does have an inlet in an outlet.

    • @dieseldragon6756
      @dieseldragon6756 15 днів тому

That's a single chamber tank, and perfectly fine in most cases. The outlet goes to the drain field in the normal fashion. 🚽💩👍
For best results; Try to keep waste discharges to just pee and poop if you can. Toilet paper can be disposed of via a suitable trash can (Use a good liner, and a well-fitting lid!) and municipal collections rather than being flushed, and avoid pouring fats down the drain like your life depends upon it! 👍

  • @jacobfoxworth

Is there ever a danger of the septic tank floating out of the ground, say if you pumped it completely dry and then the next day there was a torrential rainfall for like two days and the ground got completely saturated? I've seen swimming pool do that when they're completely pumped out. A lot of pool guys I know won't pump a pool more than 3/4 of its capacity because if it did rain and the pool floated up, it would be thousands of dollars to repair. Just wondering if that could happen with septic tanks?
