I’ve never been disappointed with SmallRig items. There’s been some aspects of the items I use from them where I see they may have cut corners for price, but overall they are doing us a favor by making budget-friendly tools
these videos are super informative especially since im in the midst of upgrading my equipment for deeper integration into my wedding film making.
This light would work SO well on music videos. I'd love to use this for some freelance work to build up my portfolio, I'd love to experiment with what this light can do! Thanks for making such an awesome video showing off this kit!
The Neewer TL60 seems like a good contenter. 20W, built-in battery and app control. Not barn doors but honeycomb as an option.

@chrisbeemedia being a solo operator, app control is quite handy but app control is relatively new to the lighting industry and surely Smallrig will eventually follow the tend with their quality products. I'm pretty impressed with the quality these lights are giving you in your video. Keep up the excellent work and content.

Cool video, well done ! When traveling i'd like to use outdoors a portable lightweight RGB light to light me up at distances of 5-7m. How many Watts and Lumens would it have to be in your opinion to work well both at cloudy day and at night at this distance ?

Agree with the gripe... I have a Godox tube that's got at least a remote that I can tinker with.. The chalenge with_all_ lights is that we (amateurs..) are buying for the best prices, new and hot stuff when it comes out and YT reviews praise it, and then we end up with one Amaran, two Godox, one iFootage, two Ulanzi.... Hm, am I just describing my own sets of lights..😢😂?
It's better to stick to one brand, possibly with an own app or a remote I can use with everything...

I think it should be strict to mention the exposure values being used on the camera every time a review of a lighting product is made, because a simple "it provides good lighting and I'm only using one" is not a real example of use, it is necessary to know what aperture value is being used, shutter, and iso. In order to know who would work and who wouldn't according to their equipment, because if you are using an f/1.6 or f/1.2 aperture and an iso 3200 or 12800 but a person has no chance of taking a good image with their camera at those iso values, or does not have a lens with that aperture, they have already gotten into trouble for having purchased this product.

My question is how do I get it to play sound when I’m playing back my recordings? Like I see that the sound is playing from the audio monitor on the side but I’m just not hearing anything
