Been sitting on this video for a while, some fresh content and concepts are on the way! What's your go-to key light?
That smile & joy at 2:51 lets me know this is the 1 now 😆
I know this video is sponsored by Nanlite, but the information you provide and the real world use case as to why this light could be more useful was great. Especially when building lights and tearing down becomes more of a nuisance. I was starting to look into the necessity of the Amaran F22 lights for simple setups on my shoots but could see this 120 series being much more useful. Great video. Keep up the awesome work.
This light is 🔥🔥, love how simple the setup process is!
💯
I'm glad I held off getting a panel til' this came out. They did it right and solved so many issues with older styles.
Bless you, bro!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! 🤩
Just got mine this week so far I really like it. I was surprised by how much light output you get. By far my favorite things about this light(outside of setup time) have got to be the built in Rosco gels. I like when companies think about how their products can work in larger environments. One thing I will add, that gaffer& gear already mentioned. You will need to find your own way to add safety chains to the panel as none come included.
I've been making content for 20 years but this is inspiring! Thank you for the value! 🙏
Nah this light design is it 🔥
you are helping me with so much and im not doing music videos i just love creating cinematic videos thank you bro
Great job! Thanks!
This light cold! 🥶
Man, the music video editing is fire! very cool
this is perfect and came at the perfect time - as I was about to get the amaran!
Thanks for walking through the headaches with F22 setup…you hit the pain points I would have ended up kicking myself for buying instead of the Nanlite.
I have been so desperate for an Amaran F22C alternative, thank you for this video, I will definitely be picking this one up
Great review!
looks nice and slim as well!
Your videos are cinematic master pieces ✨ very talented.
Def want to try these. The build quality looks really good for the price.
I do a lot of interview setups, so I'm using the Molus X100 and Molus G60. Gives me the ability to carry a full 2 camera field interview kit in just one backpack and one tripod/light stand bag. The only problem I've had with the X100 is they're having a lot of reliability issues with the battery grip, so I've been powering it with a Smallrig V-Mount battery that I clamp to the light stand.
Maaaaaan I have the 120B and I love it. Be well!
I used the Lowel Rifa lites for twenty years because they were the best quick set up soft box solution. These Pavoslims are the modern LED version of the old tungsten Rifas. Thanks for the review. BTW I agree with your comments regarding the flexible panels - I bought one and never used it because the set up is a nightmare.
That wall mount in your studio room is interesting. Never thought of that but it makes a lot of sense. Convenience and ease of setup is great. That price point though, wow. almost $800. That's a hard hit there for the enthusiast.
I just bought that rc60b because of that video you made on it🔥💯 I just unboxed it yesterday and mannnn is it bright asf
That’s dope!
600 bucks for the small one. Ouch…. Guess i will just watch others use it lol
You can make your own bro don’t sweat it!
I have the FalconEyes and man it's a badass light but all the same gripes as you have with the Amaran. This one is tempting lol
fair points about the F22C. What bothers me the most is the bracket which (when you boom the light with softbox/grid from above) lets go off the lightmat super easily. I will say that with the F22 case, you are actually supposed to put the light matt into the big pocket slot, not with the other accessories.
I actually noticed that while putting together this video lol (putting the light in the pouch). But I definitely feel you on the bracket. I feel like it never clamped down hard enough to secure the light from rolling when mounted sideways.
aputure released an updated bracket late last year that genuinely makes the light 100x more secure. You can get it for free too, there’s a replacement program and all you gotta do is send your light’s serial number.
@@EastonOliver yeah I've heard this but I sadly missed the deadline that most suppliers had here in the UK. Really glad that they did this though
Haven't even watched the video yet but goddammit YC, you made me fall in love with the Amaran F22C, now this lol??????? About to press play now.... We'll see how this goes lol
Using all Godox lighting right now havent let me down yet! 60, 120, 300 and a few tubes.
Great review and produciton quality. I'm torn between this and the f22c ... for me I think it will come down to brightness. Which do you think is brighter, and is there much in it?
I thought I was the only one that hated the set up for the amaran. I love the light itself but man they need to update the design.
Great Video! Where did you learn to light, im a pretty good camera operator and editor but I notice im lacking in lighting, because sometimes I just dont know what to do. I have basic knowledge about three point lighting but feel a little clueless when on location.
Hey YC!
Love this light!
Can you link the magnets you use? There are many out there but I would rather use the ones you recommend. Thank you. Good luck!
Love your videos and content. You provide great info and use case for these lights - added to my wish list. I only wish you disclosed (up front in video) that this was sponsored endorsement. I’m only asking for visible transparency (you disclosed in links) as I think the viewer would appreciate it. I appreciate you very much.
What action camera was that? I love the movement
Can this thing work outdoors, on-location, with battery power?
It'd be cool if Nanlite made a lantern modifier for the 60c.
Ong
Really admire your work. Where are based out of?
i want these lights, i do wish they came in a form closer to the amaran f22c tho (2x2), ever so slightly bigger makes a difference for me.
apparently nanlite is making a coupler that lets you attach two of them together. Hopefully it will maintain the speed and ease of use the lights currently have
Thanks for the video. FYI your 120C link is broken.
I was going to grab nanlite tube lights but I think ima get this instead.
How you doing the overhead shots in the music video?
Do you think it's worth getting this as your first light and skipping getting a COB and SoftBox?
I’d say COB as a first light, the bowens mount is very versatile. Nanlite has a bunch of great COB options as well.
What are using to power this stuff in the field bro? A Genny?
I just use a V-Mount battery.
Bro, check out that new mochi light they dropped too.
Yo YC… I just received a GoPro12 from you in the mail. Did you run a giveaway recently for one? I can’t find an email or a video from you from announcing it.
I get the convenience, there just a little to pricey. Imma just stick with the tubes and grids.
Tubes are a fire portable option too!
i need help bro..
Anyone know a good cheap dupe for these lights for those of us who don’t have any income coming in yet from our content? 😂 i have my bachelors in film and television production and know a lot about lighting but can’t afford them because being a production assistant and these other low wage jobs they give people with our degree just don’t pay enough for us to create our own content on the side 😢
Yeah $800? You done lost your mind
Hey there sir
I’m a new up & coming video director
Can you be my mentor! I wanna learn how to perfect video shots and professional touches
Cool ?
