Hey Adam that Heterozygous Bluebar Grizzle Hen you got there is nothing short of Amazing, if I could get all my pigeons in my loft to look like that I would be a very happy man.
@@GuardianAngel.. remember hetero means two, homo means one. Homozygous = only one allele (two copies of grizzle) heterozygous = two different alleles (grizzle and wildtype).

My spread rec. opal hens where darker than the cocks, just like in the photos you showed. I want to do this again when I can get my hands on an opal again. It does seem odd that there would be a difference.
You should find this beautiful hen a dilute cock! With enough luck you can pair the next generation and get higher chance getting a yellow one! Good luck and amazing projects!
Hi Adam, I've seen a few pics of racing pigeons with frills and some old Aarden birds with a top knot behind their heads ( Kuif) is what the Belgians call it.. Would you be kind enough to make a video and shed some light on how to get those kind of variations some day.. Many thanks Arun
Adam Archer Pigeons I have also seen, just twice in 30 years a pigeon is literally half red checker and half T check.. Do you think this is just a freak, or could they be deliberately be created? Like, if you look at it on the top the entire right wing would be checker and the entire left wing would be red checker.. Very pretty to look at..
So i bought 2 days ago 2 males and 4 females When i took them they were 100% that sex Today 3 of the females when a male of mines come to them they react to them like a male should do Cooing and puffing their chest Its just self defense on making them leave or those females are actually males? The guy i took them from said that they are that sex but if any of them turns out be not what he knew he will change that pigeon or give me the money back
I love the variety of your pigeon colors

Thanks! He's actually an effeminate looking cockbird. Homozygous grizzle by the way, heterozygous is darker 🙂
Adam Archer Pigeons Homozygous huh, I always get those two mixed up, anyway thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Adam Archer Pigeons now who says, you don’t learn something new everyday, I’ll make a note of that my friend, thanks.
That is a really special colour
The best part is it is the combination of two racing pigeon colours, so there is no infusion of fancy pigeon genes.
Wow nice beautiful color
Hey Adam I enjoy your informative videos I was wondering if you could do one on

My friend i have a dark grizzel is that a rare or not?
No, fairly common I'm sorry.
Hi Adam Gd to see they laid the whites laying any day now

Why pillets and not grain?
Because they tend to pick their favorites out and refuse to feed the babies when the safflower runs out. On pellets that risk is gone.
Thanks, what kind of pillets you use and it’s content?

Hi......If I Pair an Blue Checker OD Male & Spread Blue (Black) Female........Can i get Spread Opal?.....Any Chances There?
Yes you can get spread dominant opal, this project is recessive opal though.
How can you tell if yellow hen is ash red or recessive red
👍👍👍 good
Great vids!! Adam your videos sound kind of like a echo when you are talking.
Yes, I live on a very loud and busy street and sometimes when I edit out the road noise it makes my voice sound a bit funny.
Adam Archer Pigeons ok! 👍

It is very odd that a non-sex linked gene shows sexual dimorphism, and I've never heard a good explanation on why!

Yes, I just have a specific family breeding plan to get there 👍
4:40 wow...
Why has that black bird got all of those warts all over its beak?
It is called the cere, all pigeons have them and they grow large and larger as the birds age.

Yes, I'm actually planning on it soon. it's a recessive trait.
Adam Archer Pigeons will eagerly look forward to that!!

@@roon7777 it is a genetic freak and generally not repeatable unfortunately. It happens about 1 in a million.

Sir I am not understand please clarify

Adam have you ever tried to put two spread Blue's(Split Recessive opal)together, you might have a better chance producing spread Recessive opals
I would, but I currently don't have any cocks who carry both genes.
@@AdamArcherPigeons That's to bad, it would have made the process much faster but goodluck with your projects.
