Hey Adam, can you make a video about dirty, smokey and soothy and the differences? Also the beak colour is important for fancy pigeons and I would love to their genetics! Good luck with the moving!
Hi Adam hope u doin well, Absolutely Enjoy your videos, I'm Hameed from Cape Town South Africa. I have Arjan Beens, Jelle Jellema, Jef Van Wanroy, Leo Heremans and Catrysse pigeons. Amazing birds, tons of prizes and race wins at the long distances. Just wanted to know if you could do a video on racing pigeons with more than the normal 10 primary flights in their wings. 2pairs of my Arjan Beens breeding stock has 13 primaries on both wings, also 1 pair of the Jelle Jellema has 12 primaries. Is this genetic or what's the explanation for this? Thank you n keep the Great Videos going.
Hey Adam, I am from India and I am watching your videos and I like your work and knowledge .😇 Can you make a video on different colour pigeon pair and what is the result after pairing them, I mean to say when I pair a red pigeon with blue bar so what kind of baby I get from them.
love your videos and knowledge. I seek assistance with breeding toy stencil and frill stencil race birds. I have blondinettes that show toy stencil and frill stencil. how would I go about mating them to race birds in order to produce ts and fs race birds. Please help. Things like, do I mate a male blondinette to a racer hen in the first generation. When they produce young, how should I mate them and the generations to follow. Look forward to seeing your video on this topic. thank you
@@AdamArcherPigeons thank you. I am currently busy with the stencil project and have a loft full of F1s :). This project is more complex than one can imagine. Too many unknowns in terms of bringing out Frill Stencil. Toy stencil is much easier if you simply mate F1 to F1. Then f2 to f2. Then f3 to f3.
@@AdamArcherPigeons thank you Adam. Yes I am familiar ts1, ts2, and ts3. The method of transferring these genes to race birds is what I am battling to understand.
I have silver looking racing homers that are opal. I mean they really do look silver. I also have another one that I don’t know which mutation it is. How can I send you pics or videos? I’d really like to know if I have a distinctive mutations.
hello Adam - I have pictures of a bird that I think is a recessive opal - can you take a look and let me know would much appreciate! how do I send photos to you - thanks Jeff
So having gray rather than black bars makes then opal? I have get a lot of red tint like the 2nd bird in a lot of my birds. Good racers maybe? Havent tested them yet...
Red eyes in racing pigeons I bred a red eyed white with very faint markings from a blue bar cock and black grizzle hen what do you reckon regards Stewart
Well adam lovely birds .just quick or mabe do a video on pigeon meds old skool like apple cider and garlic ect would be intersting thanks once again nice birds👍👍👍
@@AdamArcherPigeons ill look foward to that adam as its the only med i use for the birds ere only ever had a bad prob was 2yrs ago with wet stool out the birds lost 30 and all young birds too ppl say all kinds wrong but 1 full weak of brown bread just bread no seed old skool pigeon man told me and it sure as hell did the job adam havent and pls god never get back in the lofts again thanks agaim adam 👍👍👍👍
That Grizzle opal is such a beautiful bird and my farourite so far!
I like him too. And he wasn't bred for colour, he's a race bird who flew 4 years!
Adam - I've really enjoyed viewing your racing pigeons. You have great-looking birds!
Thank you!

I've actually been planning a video on these colours for a long time, so yes, thanks for the reminder 👍
Nice looking birds. Love the opals
Thanks for sharing!!!

Me: check my sense of hearing 🤣
Great pigeons
Hello we'd like you to put video on the selection criteria of pigeons for every distance. Thank youu
Thanks for the tip, I'll add it to my list
Make a video on Dominate Opals please.
beautiful colour nice pigeon
Thank you, I like the opals, I'm looking forward to developing a good family of them.

@@kubenmoodliar477 I don't know much about it, but I think from memory Toy Stencil isn't a single gene, may be in fact up to 3 genes working together?

@@AdamArcherPigeons great thanks just posted
So having gray rather than black bars makes then opal?
I have get a lot of red tint like the 2nd bird in a lot of my birds. Good racers maybe? Havent tested them yet...
Having two copies of the opal gene makes it an opal, and some opals have grey bars. Opal is a gene often found in older racing strains
What's thing make opal racer another to a normal racer?
The red colour bird carry indigo mutation?.
How differentiate dominant and opal piegion.
No, he is opal and not indigo. I have proven it with breeding tests. Look online for dominant opal and recessive opal pictures.
Red eyes in racing pigeons I bred a red eyed white with very faint markings from a blue bar cock and black grizzle hen what do you reckon regards Stewart
But the basic information is missing. What is an opal and how is he different from others. What are his main characteristics???
This isn't an explanation of recessive opal like I've done for some other genes, this is just a look at a few of my opal pigeons.
@@AdamArcherPigeons that would be interesting info to provide nonetheless. Especially what it looks like compared to a regular blue or a dominant opal
Well adam lovely birds .just quick or mabe do a video on pigeon meds old skool like apple cider and garlic ect would be intersting thanks once again nice birds👍👍👍
I already have a video on Apple Cider in the works 😉 just working on getting the script right. It'll be out in the next week or so hopefully.

Is that a rare bird the Red blue bar opal ?
Recessive opal indigo bar is the correct term lol 👍
No. I do not have any pigeons that are both recessive opal and indigo at the same time. They are completely separate genes.
Any tips for female pigeons who are breeding but, not layings eggs and are young and healthy too.
How is she breeding without laying eggs?
@@AdamArcherPigeons oh sorry, my english is not good, i mean to say she is mating but not laying eggs for about 6 months.
@@shujaathaider5457 Maybe she is just too young
Change male pigeon
Is Smokey/slate a mod of opal?
No.
Get a few in the Van Loons.
Yea most of my opals have Van Loon in them

Opals
Yes...
Importad to India sir
I thought feet marks were a sign of nutrition deficiency and poor feather quality
When it is physical damage to the feather, yes. Not when it is part of the colour like opal.
