to be extra safe, id change the fluid again in 2000 miles to make sure ALL the wrong fluid is gone. Better be safe then sorry. Truck is badass

In its current volume level this truck reminds me so much of my 69 f100 460 with dual side pipes. Loved that thing, but man did it need work.

Nice to see people working on the old trucks. I have a 68 short box. Been working on it for a good while now. Needed a new wiring harness and some other things. I have a five speed manual in mine also. But I went with a hyd. Clutch because of the clutch pressures. Lol.
That's engine noise. I love it my favorite types of trucks. Old school
youll never mess up more than one guy i had come to me did with his transmission. he had a jeep cherokee with an NV3550 in it. he said he changed the fluid in it and after a couple trips off road it was starting to grind between gears even when double clutching or speed shifting. obvious synchro problems i think to myself. or its low on fluid like he didnt put enough in. transmission felt save-able. pulled the drain bolt out and literal water came out of the transmission, apparently he drove through a significant amount of water and it somehow made its way inside

I just drove my 65 ranchero with open headers to work and my ear are regretting it 😢😅 worst part was the smoking oil at 90 degree ca weather. Lucky I made it back home
you shoulr find a 4x4 truck in a junk yard and grab the tunnel cover itll make closing up the floor way easier :)

Maybe you know this, but the trans angle needs to be within 3 degrees of the pinion angle. The angle with respect to the ground is nearly inconsequential.
I have a 1955 F100 /2015 COYOTE ENGINE Swap with a /T56 magnum & 9 inch rear with 4.10s since its a 6 speed and runs like a beast!! I had a Ford Crate GT40 347 Stroker with a Tremec T.K.O 5 Speed and the same 9 inch.. The frame is MII Conversion up front with a full ACCURIDE Bag set up with a 4 link out back.Im also running a custom exhaust with long tubes thst exit from the body out of each side above the rear fenders behind the doors threw Series 10 Single Chamber Flowmasters It has a custom bench seat with a center relief for the shifter..Truck is Giant .7 Flake Silver/Champagne on Weld Drag lites,15x12 335/35/15 Rear PZeros /15X9 275/50 FRONTS.. HAS VINTAGE AIR.Its a TX truck and has ZERO RUST AT ALL ANYWHERE NOR EVER HAS. I DRIVE IT PRETTY MUCH SLAMMED ALL THE TIME..IM 43 AND GOT THE TRUCK IN 1994 WHEN i was only 19..Its been in quite a few races in its day ill admit.. it does pretty well. im not going to keep on but keep up all the work on your truck and youll never be dissapointed..You'll love even more..Its suoer cool..Heve a great time!! Sounds like you need a bigger cam, also put on 2barrel heads with 4barrel intake. That old Ford will haul ass, we did that with my 390 in a 72 Ford pu

I’m really enjoying your videos. And I wanted to let you know how you inspired me. I’ve got a couple old Harleys an EVO and a Shovelhead but I’ve been interested in getting into another F100 I had a 65 15 years ago ...anyway I started binge watching your videos a couple days ago and while on my daily eBay perusal struck gold. I just grabbed a 70 F100 390 3spd no rot no rust for short money...real short. I can’t wait til it gets here. Keep the videos coming they’re great and I think it’s awesome you got started at such a young age.🇺🇸

I'm guessing a thinner viscosity, as Chrysler was one of the first to use ATFin manual transmissions, and later called for 10W30 motor oil.
put dual glass packs on it so u can still hear it but will take the ghastly droning noise

We have a 409 Chevy engine that we’re putting a stainless steel exhaust kit from we’re the muffler used to be back and we did it on a 427 and it’s supper loud so don’t put exhaust on the truck
how did you not get popped for loud exhaust?
If it's a linkage style shifter it probably needs adjusted.
I did this with my cobra mustang! I couldn't hear the radio!
