  • Today I decided to take the truck out for a drive and bring the camera along with me. I did a few pulls and had a good time back in the drivers seat of my own f100.

he'd see significant gains with a good set of heads GT40P with a port and polish or aluminum heads and a matched cam.

Put a ratchet strap around the bottom of the seat and tighten it just enough so the shifter doesn't hit. Also I helped my buddy on his white 67 f100, we put a sound barrier and carpet with insulation from LMC, it looks great and functions great!!! Love your truck buddy!!

I run 2 cherry bombs under my 60F100 that exit out the same way yours does. and its LOOOUD when you mash the gas. I too also don't have any sound deadening or door seals lol

Awesome video! Your truck ROCKS!!! Please more videos with your pedal foot cam! Like seeing when you "rip" on the gas wide open throttle! Fun stuff and content. Thanks for making these videos!!

The red transmission fluid from keisler conversation (mopar) make a 50/50 mix ATF/gear oil!

Hold the shifter so there is slight pressure on second then get off the throttle, then blip it. My fox body was the same way. They like it if you slow down the gear spin then blip.

Your truck is music to my ears.. just love that exhaust note with a manual gearbox.

  • @ronniebutironi9002

Redline D4 ATF for manual transmissions is what you want. Synchros operate as clutches. Wrong viscosity/additives in the fluid and they wont grab the gear collar adequately and bring it up or down to speed for seamless shifting.

The fluid is important and down shifting have they're speed limits cause they aren't being womped on 2nd at 50 is a bit much to ask for even with no rising rpm

  • @danchamberlain6069

Hi Craig I don't know if you have tried this yet, but try an 80 weight trans oil, if the oil is too thick the trans will shift slow. If your trans shifts easier after a mile or so of driving the oil is probably too thick. Hope this helps . Love your pedal cam video. Dan

Your truck sounds sooo sick man, i had a dakota with a 318 and a 5 speed, it was a riot to drive, keep it up man, hopefully soon you can slap a cam and some ported heads on that 302.

It's awesome to see your truck back up and running again. What a cool daily driver it will be once all the work on it is complete! Little by little, it is getting there. I also love the sound of the V-8. By the way, does your truck have power steering or manual steering?

Let me know if your TKO shifts notchy like? With only 400 miles and have not yet changed the oil my TKO shifts pretty notchy? Just wondering if that will get better with miles and the oil changed out? I just thought it would shift easier, smoother but it feels pretty notchy like I said. Thoughts on that?
