Finally someone has designed a simple, nice looking, affordable OC-1. Hope to see plans for it soon! I need a winter project ;) Would be awesome to see a prone board as well!!
Love the simplicity and the rugged feel of the bamboo crossbeams. I'd say that I suspect you won't sail it, but I believe you even converted a SUP to sail power, so I'll withhold predictions! Great to see another video from you after such a long time. I was inspired by your beautiful wa'apa build in particular (but also found your note about long setup/rigging times very useful - not practical for me).
This looks great! I love your designs. Me and my son are going to build the cut water soon once I have other jobs out the way. I can see a sailing version of this being built some time in the future.
Sailing version? Or is that asking too much? Of course the purist in me thinks proa but then you’re looking at an asymmetric canoe which would be useless for other purposes, like half a double canoe. Great stuff Aaron. I have been diverted from small stuff since we are prepay Jarkan for cruising. Moored near Rip Bridge these days (for now)
Sleek design! I can imagine how easily it glides.

They’ll be out soon!

Can’t wait to get started. Perfect for what I’m doing.
Very cool!
Yeah, gonna need some plans! Looks great!

Thanks mate, the bamboo works so perfectly. You guessed right, there’s a sail option I’m working on!
