- Gin Blossoms perform "Hey Jealousy" live at the Farm Aid concert in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 18, 1994. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do?
Listening in 2023. Great song. Great performance. Great band. The 90's were better...
2024 !!!
My only claim to fame is that I had Art History 102 with Robin Wilson at MCC. Rock on Robin
I was at ASU when they were the local band. I totally remember when I announced on our school's radio station they had signed the record deal with A&M! Good times
That’s awesome! Corner of Southern by Desert Samaritan, right?
Macomb Community College?
Yep he absolutely did that
@@ilovetheeighties914 no Maricopa Comm College
The best groups sound as good live as they do in the studio
RIP Doug Hopkins. One of the very best songs of the 90s
100%
The fact that Robin Wilson's voice is so damn consistent from live performance to live performance, spanning 20 years is amazing.
Robin's great.
@@horganblatt2660 Yeah then abandon the guy to his fate... really nice.
@@JeffCrow1313 I assume you speak of Doug, unfortunately, you can't help an alcoholic, I know as my favorite son is one and there is no dealing with him. And the GB's tried numerous interventions with no effect on Doug. Same with the GD and Jerry, Jerry said the H was more important than them or the band, FWIW.
Was just thinking that.
This is music this is real music 🎶🎸 the Gin blossoms take me back to my life is totally different from what it is now I guess time changes everything and anything huh keep on rocking Gin blossoms 🎶🎸🎶🎸🎶🎸🎶🎶🎸🎶🎸
I play out sometimes in NJ and this is my go to song "Hey Jealousy "I just love this freken song!
This will always be what the 90s sound like to me.
Those vocals are beyond belief!
Most under rated song ever
Goddamnit, I miss the 90s.
Absolutetly gold sound of the 90's. I think just about everyone who's ever been in teenage love experienced what this song is about. And even at the age of 61 I still sing this song when it comes on the radio as loud as I can
Me Too: Keiffer Auditorium New Orleans . You Might see me Bopping around on the floor.....
Damn. We were privileged to grow up in the era. We Saw all the cool bands. The best ones. Seriously
I was 13. His voice still does things to me..
This was a tremendous performance
He sounds great live! Wow!
wow they sounded great!!!
This performance totally rocks!!! This is my all time favorite Gin Blossoms song and one of my favorite songs ever!!! Robin's voice is perfection!!! I may have to watch this again!!!
There's just something awesome about this song. I get obsessed with it on and off - been happening like 25 years. LOL
I love how confident they are in their appearance. It’s a shabby yet confident look, something I’m way to self conscious to rock. Random I know lol
I love this, it reminds me when I was a 90s kid
The mark of a song that will simply last forever, is one that has worked up the crowd by the time the second note is heard.
I also didn't realize they were this good live. I never had the opportunity to see them live, but this song is among my top 10 songs of the 90s. My kids love this song too.
Best performance of any song I ever saw Live!
they are still great
Love the Arizona State rep
Goddamn I miss the 90s
lead vocals, guitarists and drummer- all amazing!!

Good music..
This is when MTv plays real music back then..
Cant believe it has been 20 years already..
reminds me of my college days. my band back then used to do covers of their songs from the new miserable experience album.

I wonder if they can still jump around on stage like this today?? Lol..... One thing I love is they picked up the tempo a little bit. This version smokes.....

Saw them at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk they are so so awesome! !!! Still strong and off the hook!!
I love how the crowd roared at the split first second of the song starting.
Awesome guitar skills
I bet it didn't take this guy many takes in the studio to nail the vocals.
I agree with Doug one of the best songs of 90's
these guys are the greatest!
One of my favorite tunes....!!!

Since what? U saw them? This songs over 30 years old
Raw and pure. Straight up and solid!
wow that tucked in shirt of the second guitarist is epic...
Mindswirl21 He wrote the song, and a lot of the album it was on. His story is sad, though.
that tucked in shirt is still EPIC we have to do a tribute to that shirt
+Kyle Yarkosky Wrong guy. Doug Hopkins wrote it and he was dead by this time. That's Jesse Valenzuela (who is still very much alive and with the band)
+Mark Pierce yup.. doug committed suicide if I'm not mistaken.. still.. salute to the band!
He still tucks it in when I saw them in 2018
Cant believe it has been 20 years already..

Amazing band very talented too bad they went away so quickly.
Ummm, their most recent album was in 2018...and they probably play about 150 concerts worldwide per year (...well, not 2020).
2021... 😉😉😉
Fantastic! :-D
The best song of that Live Aid
❤❤❤
He just did a great life Facebook from his basement. Was a great era for rock
And I miss the heck out of it! Life was much simpler back then.

I guess it’s my chemistry, but I can’t take my eyes off Scotty Johnson. He’s totally gorgeous and a thrilling guitar player. ❤️
Great stuff.
love it great performance love this song 🎵🎤🙌💛
good song; good performance! thanks--
Good music loving people of UA-cam can we please start a campaign to make the radio stations of today bring back good music like this. Get them to start playing "college" bands again. Here in Australia we had JJJ and thats how we learnt of these guys and Toad the Wet Sprocket. Now all we get is bullsh_t dufff dufff and Robin Dicke. Come on vote with your fingers start callin them stations up and demanding good music with guitars. The advertisers have to listen to us good folk.
Cutting edge camera work for 94
when the music was music....
Yes sir!
It's a pop rock song.
Right?
Umbrella term. You can also clearly hear blues, punk, and grunge influences. That's why they came up with he term alternative.
Great band tight,
What s gig! !
Ahh the 90s... The era where people purposely did the "just got out of bed and haven't brushed my teeth" look.
Gee, thanks for the definition. 🤢
I love how Robin grabs his credentials and puts them around his neck at the end. Once they were off stage, he was probably afraid he'd get kicked out! 🤣
😃👍🇩🇪
They woke him up and he had to go straight to the stage! It reminds me of “kidnap” of high school freshman (back when that was allowed). The parents knew what was coming but couldn’t warn their kid. I woke up my son and said go put in your contacts- he was like “why are you awake so early on a Saturday?” I said just go get your contacts in. As soon as he came out with contacts in the doorbell rang. They put a black pillowcase over his head and took him- to the park for breakfast with the rest of the senior high orchestra.
look at how normal their clothes are
If you're being serious then I'd have to agree.
+BlackJacketJones One word: grunge.
Normcore x100
its all part of the show,, dont kid yerself,, those are stage clothes...
I'm digging the Arizona State University shirt. Tempe is a super cool town so it figures they would be from there, as well as a band called The Maine.
The best from 90's
this is such great shit

Sickest version of all time... faster, more powerful and the crowd, 90s ruled! Music wise, just saying ...
This was the 1st non-nursery school song I learned
🍷
Why do camera men focus on everybody but the lead guitarist when he plays a solo?
it happens with all videos and bands. unless youre slash. then they know lol... if the guitarist doesnt take center stage, camera men who dont know how to play guitar really have no idea. true story
It's not the camera guys. it's the editor who had access to all the footage and chose to keep cutting away.
Drives me crazy! There's a great Radiohead performance of Paranoid Android and the cameraman doesn't film Jonny Greenwood during the solo!
Over 25 years
49 dislikers must be Spin Doctors fan
They had so much energy in this show! I saw them a couple of months ago but they were nowhere this type of fire while playing 😢
Bill Paxton on vocals!
Are the Gun Blossoms cosinderd a grunge band because I think they should be and deserve all accolltes as grunge because
Grunge music is overlook why I don't know?
Great vocals. Guitars are a bit loose. Bass and drums on point.
They actually had more hits than nirvana.
they had like 2 or 3 tf
Good one
Maybe, but their God-like singer wasnt cut down in his prime.
