The nostalgia is real with this one...
Yessir it was! I miss those days.
Facts
Those we’re the days 😤🔥
That reminds me. I'm a literal day one and got a win on my second ever game.
Miss those days
The feels of nostalgia just tore a hole in my heart. Honestly is sad that we'll never experienced such a thing like season 0 when everybody mindset was just innocent back then.
😭😭😭
Then they brought loba and even the most innocent people where like “das a *PHAT* ass!!!”
It's not that deep babe
😢
Except for the titanfall veterans, they were dominating in the first month of apex
This video reminded me of my first win on week of release. I won in the little cave outside swamps😊. I wish they would come out with an “OG LTM” with only OG legends, OG weapons, OG KC all without their updates balances and tweaks, so it’s just like it was day 1. Think of the hype they would get for this…
Think they did something similar in season 3 or season 4, but that would be so fun fr!
Would play it so much just for no Seer.
I played it so much when it came out until my mom pawned my ps4 and I never had another console until now it's so much to take in and I have a small amount of points so I can't unlock the legends cause I'm so rusty/bad
@@kijannaplays wasn’t that just for the OG KC tho? Would be nice if respawn done a full OG LTM! 💯
Man the original weapon will destroy Apex, because a lot of people will start to complain about the balance of them, also with legends, especially wraith and pathfinder with his grapple and a broken hitbox.
Season 0....back where every kill was a celebration for me.....I miss it
Season 0-3 was the best. R.I.P Fun Apex ❤️
factsss
Apex is still fun bro 💀 it’s one of the only online pvp games that haven’t fallen off
I stopped playing after season 2 now I have a PC and I’m jumping back into the fire
Lifelines insane healing with her old passive and golden backpack was bonkers. Was hella fun.
It didnt stack.
@@ranpe2496 it did stack thats the crazy thing 2 seconds for a bat
@@marcelinokwiek9821 nope.
Enough to make a grown man cry. It's wild to see how far not only the game has come but the community. They needa bring season 0 lifelline back though.
why was she like crazy op cus of the sheild rez??
I started in season 4 of Apex but when they brought back the old map of Kings Canyon I could definitely feel the nostalgia people had with the early seasons. I wish I played on the season when they first released World's Edge because I watched my close friends older brother play that season and it was so fire. 🔥
Worlds Edge release was such a big moment for Apex. But season 4 is still pretty early tbh, I’d consider you and OG too 💪🏾
@@kijannaplays I started late season 4, but I played 3 games when Apex was released, and I did not like it because I could not build I was so used to Fortnite xD Now I only play Apex and I don't even play Fortnite any more I hate the build hahaha how the things have changed.
I started in late season 2, The game never feel the same for me
The actual game is good but Season 3 is THE GOAT
I definitely think the beginning was the best. Felt so simple yet effective. I think they added to many things that makes the game feel like to much is going on
If they didn't add as much things over almost 4 years the player base would drop massively
This is what nostalgia is king
There aren't many games that I've played that when released were a shell of what they are now but as someone who downloaded Apex Legends on launch date, and seeing where the game is now it is actually crazy nostalgic and it makes me kind of proud to have been there. Back when ranked was a thought experiment, there was confusion over why the map had a name when it was the only one (cause we didn't know we would get more of them), and back when the G7 Scout took an 8x sight lmao
Don't forget the 99 with a 3times 😭
Actually, this was the first BR/FPS to make me feel like I sucked and took me several seasons to figure it out, especially coming from COD & BF where I was consistently a top 3-5 player every match. Apex forced you to become a much quicker thinker and develop multi-prediction in split seconds.
Back in the Season 1 i still remember getting a single kill felt like an achievement 😂😂
You forgot to mention how OP the PK was and how bangs double time was actually fast , I remember when octane came out and they had to nerf her speed
She Actually got a shadow nerf week 1 on double time
Remember the og spitfire & lifeline?
THE DOUBLE PUMPS😭😭😭
Lifeline able to pop a bat in like 2 seconds will always be great
Back when you actually died to gunfire and not 3 abilities + 8 nades while being scanned
Shits why i quit. All fights are way too chaotic. Adding a new legend every season was their biggest mkstake
Casuals
Titanfall 2 :(
@@dontrwooshmeimtrolling4003 yeah, feel like doing this just makes the game unbalanced. Always have to look out for some new bullshit ult that I'm not prepared for😭
@@dontrwooshmeimtrolling4003
It wasn't. You're just trash, lmao.
Day one beta player here... this game blew up and it felt perfect. I still rate it as one of the best FPS games of all time. Taking us back ghe nostalgia the moments the memories I love taking a trip down memory lane. Thank you ❤
You cant forget the choice you had to make whether to get mirage or caustic when u finally hit the level to afford them, and no one could ever agree who was a better pick
Gibby until mirage got that huge “mimic” buff, THAT forever changed the game
You mean his nerf?
I picked mirage cause someone was sending those mirages out and it was so cool to me but then one day someone Trapped me inside a plane with Caustic traps and killed me. I was soooo pissed off but I had a new found respect for Caustic and he ended up being my main after pathy
i started season 7 so believe it or not, olympus fills me with so much joyous nostalgia 😭 king’s canyon was the third map i was introduced to and it blew me away
Just seeing the original title screen and the flood of nostalgia hit. I still remember that first time drop feeling in this game. Damn I miss it a lot.
Not to mention the sound in the title screen coming from very far and going up progressively.... wow.... So Nostalgic and exciting as well..... I still can't get enough of it ... Gosh....
I been playin this game since day one. Season 3 and 4 were hands down the best seasons a battle royale could have . Strictly having fun
Firerate was ported directly from Titanfall 2, where you moved much faster and more erratically. It was kinda an oversight at the time, but man was it fun to duel people
And they should bring it back 🙄 i hate the movements now so buggy for console users
@@PrincePalmUwU only console players
So many people forget this. And it speaks to how a lot of Apex has ultimately not transitioned well from Titanfall. In particular, the skill gap in movement in Titanfall was actually way smaller than in Apex. Everyone moved fast in that game all the time and the time to kill was super low so getting crazy good at advanced movement was just for flexing, not essential. Whereas in Apex, high movement skill now dominates the game in a way that's killed it for me. I'm not here to learn a dance simulator, I'm here to play a tactical battle royale shooter (with smooth movement and a few character abilities). I should've uninstalled years ago after it long stopped being fun but finally did so this year. Still fun to watch some videos but I don't see myself playing that sweat fest again.
We just gana forgot about the 3 Bats and Med kits. Also being able to hold 2 nades per slot. Without gold bag and without fuse
I miss the old apex bro. Seeing this video brought back a lot of good memories . Thank you
Day one player here. Its crazy how different apex was. Back when gibby and the spitfire were considered absolute trash. Very little was changed for those two things and they're now considered OP. Kinda funny too, gibby used to be stronger. Even before the fortified buff. Remember how his gun shield would eat a whole kraber round and didn't do any damage to his shield?
I remember the first time I ever picked up a wingman. I couldn’t tell you where it was but I remember it looking like the small buildings at relic on todays kings canyon, but it wasn’t as compact and was on the edge of the map somewhere. I remember that. Back to the wingman, I didn’t have another weapon to use so I had to use the wingman and I couldn’t believe how cracked it was. Such a fast fire rate and insane damage. That was when apex was always fun without the sweats and chasers we have today. It wasn’t balanced at all but very fun.
Oh my god, seeing only the starting legends again after such a looooong time is so weird, but also times were so much easier at the start and I actually had fun playing
Yep, been playing since 2019 and got all the legends unlocked in season 14 now. :) it would be dope if they would have a playlist for season 0 only legends. Would be fun!
I’ll touch on a few other things.. pathfinders hit box before the nerf and his grapple was 12 seconds! R99 hit for 19-20 a bullet, and the peacekeeper held 6 shots and was hitting for 80 plus, lifeline fast heals made it to where you could solo the lobby with her. Bloodhound was considered the worst legend because Of the passive and alt cooldown times. Mirage was op when you unlocked him with literally no counter legend to his abilities. The prowler season 1.. literally could one clip a team.. the spitfire also season 1.. had a 45 round mag and was hitting 18-20 a bullet from any range with no attachments..
man this is the number one thing about Apex this giving us two things one flashbacks two memories
The bridge is still one of my most favorite spots in Apex, I had so many good plays there..
Another fun thing about season 0 was the leaks. Having entire character abilities, portraits, models, concept art just chilling in the files was so fun and made me so hype for the future. I remember asking to go to my grandmothers house on a Tuesday because I heard Octane was going to be released that day, but it turned out to be next Tuesday.
Them getting rid of Bridges might have been one of the worst map changes they made. Playing Bridges was unmatched on that side of the map
a much needed trip down memory lane, the lobby music was the shit. I stopped playing because of COD warzone when that came out and to this day I still regret it (even though I was trash). I legit still have a screenshot when I fought against Soarkobi in season 2.
Also shields were hard to come by.. I remember dropping in and not finding a shield for half a game lol😅.. and if you found a purple and was tagged you were hunted down period..
This nostalgic because I used to play this game a lot with my friends on the weekends all the time
Pre octane pre mirage era was crazy. Post octane post mirage era was even crazier.
I’ve played since S0, day 1 but nothing got me more hyped to play Alex than S3 first dropping; first brand new map, World’s Edge. Crypto was hyped up throughout the first two (mostly s2) seasons, dropping the tower in KC and having his symbol all over. Then he was dropped and so much fun to play. But what made it the best was the in game hype Respawn had for him throughout s2, it was fun to search and try to find where Crypto had been and finding him in Labs. They haven’t really done anything like that s5-s6, when Loba blew up Skulltown up or Rampart would paint everything down in Worlds
Day one I got respawned but the timer that shows your out of bounds killed me 3 times in a row after landing on the floor. Nostalgia.
You forgot something very important : r99 and other guns like prowler could attach 3x scope
The feel of Apex has completely changed as well. I stopped playing it before they released octane and let me tell you, it feels like every character strapped cinder blocks to to their feet compared to how fast everyone was before. There also wasn't any progressive shield upgrade, imagine making it to the end game and you only have blue armor because that was the best you could find.
omg i remember it all .... i played it since launch till like end of season 4 bc i was fed up with it bc i was still terrible with everything .... but this apex legends was my first legit multiplayer game bc i despised them back then ... such nostalgia
damn this vid hit the spot like home cooking. Unless they make the heroes go through some time machine to go back to season 0... we will never get to enjoy landing Thunderdome and rotating to skulltown to cleanup the leftovers and collect all the loot. So many good memories.
I remember in the beginning no one knew how to kick down doors and I used that to my advantage, it was so fun 😢
Thanks for making this video man, that was fun to watch.
Started playing apex literally on Day 2 bcs i let it download with my terrible 20mbps i had at the time all the first day, i remember everything you said, the game was fun as hell, also the hype of being a possible Fortnite Killer was big, even though i was terrible playing it on PS4 at the time, i have a lot of good memories on it in the first season/seasons, now just returned to it on PC and god how much it changed....
Thank you glad I ain't only one who's been thinking same thing about game play back in the day compared to present day apex
I will never forget being pathfinder and being having to win a 3 v 1 not once but twice to get 1st, nowadays people too damn good. Especially when it gets down to the end
I played Apex in season 1 and then came back in season 10... Back then my laptop was new and it handled the game well (tbh the game was less taxing on the hardware too) but I didn't have the fps skills... Now that I have those skills, my lappy's become old and it can barely run the game properly...
I started day 1 of apex. The game was absolutely brilliant. Now it feels like it's missing something. Apex season 1 and 2 where a insane time to play Apex. Wing man seaon1 season 2 disruptor rounds where on another level of broken fun.🤯😪
I still remember the Gold backpack, 3 stack grenades and the fabled no recoil R-301
The vibe of apex day 1 and pre season 1 was unmatched. Just fun.
I missed the day 1 train... by a lot. I jumped in just after season 8 started.
I had avoided the BR genre as a whole mostly due to the negative stigma surrounding Fortnite. (No hate on people who like it tho) But around late 2020 early 2021 I think, I got into Titanfall 2 after I got it for free through Playstation plus. Fell in love with the game and the story, first playthrough of the campaign was magical. Loved it so much, I decided to give Apex a chance since it was the same developers.
And it was my first BR ever. Ah, simpler times. Dropped King's canyon as my first map, it felt so so huge at the time. Despite being pretty decent at shooters in general, you'd think I'd never played a video game before with how bad I was XD I remember not knowing there were multiple maps and that they usually rotate every so often, so I think my second or third match was on Olympus and I was so confused like "what??? Did I accidentally queue for a different gamemode?"
But best of all, I thought you triggered Lifeline's Drone revive by _using_ the tactical on top of a downed teammate. Dropped the drone on him and ran after the enemy squad, got slaughtered and was dumbfounded when I noticed my teammate had not been revived.
Good times.
ts brought a tear to my eye it rlly is sad we won’t be able to experience a feeling of apex season 0 again😔
There was no news about it being released. Respawn(not word for word) said “hey our new game is available to download” with no tweets leading up to release
Thank you for posting, have played since season 2, still love this game.
Back when lifeline was busted. I miss using a battery in half a sec with gold shield.
When apex first came out i remember telling people it was in the titanfall universe, and most people i knew didnt even know what titanfall was lol. Shout out to all the og titanfall players
I’m so so glad that I physically managed to get most of the s1 badges and I still have clips of the op life line
I miss the old days of apex. I really do. I quit back at the end of season3. I just got tired of it, but damn if shit didn’t change so much I would jump back into it
Man cascades was my only drop, I was so scared to land skulltown haha. Nothing will beat the OG Wingman R9 combo, or how excited you got when you got a turbocharger for the devotion
I will never forget watching the mini trailers and finishers of each character, seeing wraith and saying SHE'S MINE! then them saying its f2p right now, got on that sh*t so quick 😢 been playing nothing but wraith the whole 3yrs. Would love a day 1 apex LTM :)
the 2019 halloween and christmas events were unrivaled, still by far the best. Shadowfall needs a comeback
This reminds me of the first game I played 😍
I was at artillery base and I picked up a wingman and I died to a guy with a R99😭
Brings back memories 😥
I’m actually going to drink the pain away 😭. Nothing can relate to the feeling of hopping on, playing octane and just vibing. Maybe that’s not how things were for you, but at that time everything was a lot simpler, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
When playing Bangalore was so fun and pathfinder was the only guy that could get the height advantage awww man memories 😢
Just days ago, I reset the menus music to the default tune. It felt so weird and eerie for some reason. It was nostalgic af
The OG King's Canyon was released on mobile season 2. it really brought back alot of memories.
The only vivid memory of Day 1/Szn 0 launch of apex was: spitfire WAS nuts, my luv for the g7 had a 6x and still kinda hurts that it DOESNT have but it’s for good reasons (when you get 22 ORIGINALLY in a max mag, i have to agree w the nerf itself being much needed esp if you had a trigger finger), the wingman was one of those “master this gun, you master taking on gunfights”. Oh and Gibby gun shield being controversial cuz he’d be aggro w a pk and…yeah, wreak havoc
I would come back to this game if there was the old map with just the old legends (and octane maybe) and if there was no sbmm or atleast if sbmm was good
Tbh not only wingman was crazy back then, R-301 had almost no recoil or bullet spray, had larger mag size when you picked it up and you could lazer people with it from, literally, miles away. Same with r-99 or scout, peacekeeper was insane too(practically more of a sniper rifle than a shotgun), longbow crazy good etc. A lot of weapons were overpowered but also fun because of that.
totally agree, especially the r99. I remember facing a wraith 1 on 1 in s0 and I was dead in like no time by r99. it was so shocking fast it took me some seconds to realize what just had happened.
Lol day one here and I miss that feeling of falling in love with apex. Still play to this day but man it’ll never be the same 😢 great video btw
Backed when people just stood there and tried to shoot and hit you lol
lol i remember my classmates ditching class just to play apex during it's first week
I remember day 1 I fell in love with this game still playing til this day
RIP Apex . I played this game from release to like season 6 took a break and came back to it and ever since then i feel like im playing an entirely different game .
The loba one😭😂
"The only time in Apex history when everyone thought they were good."
Truer words have never beem spoken 😂
i was a day 3 player this made me smile such good times
I started playing Apex when Mad Maggie was being released and I been having fun and a lot of people have told me that this game and many players have got nerf a lot especially lifeline
I got crushed by my care package before it was patched in season one. Literally brains on the floor lol
I remember going over to my friends house for a birthday party and him and all his friends wanted me to play this new game because they were all bad at it. I dropped in with random and used Lifeline because I thought she was cool. Man Lifeline was busted. We stayed on the edge of the circle the whole game until my team was down in the storm and it was just me and my wingman and pk. That headshot man. The one shot that won my first game in Apex right at skull town.
I was waiting for him to say “Mozambique here”
The 2x-4x on smgs was hysterical
I remember telling my friend "let's try this new game" and here we are now
Downloaded the game two weeks after it came out, because I refused to be apart of the wave and was a pubg hardcore guy. Download the game, no idea whats going on, choose wraith and proceed to get a 10 kill, 2nd place game and never used an ability once, because I had no idea what they were. Was instantly hooked after that game. Golden Days
I remember the day the game dropped I was at school and everyone was talking about it on UA-cam because I used to play only R6S and fortnight and it took me like 2 mins to download and when I tell u I fell in love with it movement wasn’t how it was and people was still tryna figure out how to get better with the weapons
Apex Mobibe brought all that back, and I found happiness for a year...
I think the fun part of what day 1/season 0 apex was the all around havoc where matches are played. LIke, there's no meta or whatever bs is, it's just pure clown fiesta where people are just having fun playing the game.
Dude when I heard the main lobby music I got goosebumps 😭😭
Man, I’m so glad I got to experience day 1 Apex. Even though I was absolutely AWFUL at the game back then. Lol
“Back when everyone thought they were good” 😂😂
I kinda wish somebody recreated the experience of day 1 Apex in R5 Reloaded. All 8 launch legends in their pre-season form, no new weapons, and OG Kings Canyon.
Still remember the grind for the top leaderboafd kills for each legends.
Some times I have flashes of the enotions and excitement of season zero Apex but they last a fraction of a second, they can be triggered by various things but above all the vanilla music theme
Mobile version of apex still has this gen 1 kings canyon. And also prowler's select fire.
I still remember the insta q with wraith aswell as the TTV loadout with wingman and pk.
Pathfinder in season 0 was nasty af, his hitbox was completly broken, his momentum using grapple was way more stronger, the cooldown was perfect, I used to do a lot of tricks with his grapple back then, now its so nerfed that it doesnt have the same feeling or the same possibilities it used to have... I honestly was very very sad when they nerfed him, I have 400+ wins with him but I dont have the pleasure of playing him like I used to.
You forgot the:
- Magnetic Melee
- OG Lifeline Res ability
- OG Caustic Gas damage Amount
- Unbreakable Caustic traps
- The area with burnt trees on King's Canyon
- The area with the very big hill now replace by The Cage
- The Big Spine bone on Skull Town (that non OG players never knew)
- The area behind Skull Town with the Ziplines
- The crazy damage amount on the Peacekeeper
As this video gets old you will be able to add:
- Gibby's bubble unbreakable
- OG ring damage
- OG ring round 1 to start
More things:
-OG spitfire
-The pit had the best loot
-mirages old ultimate
-the Mozambique was a meme
-evo shields didnt exist
-u had no shield off drop
-seer, horizon & vantage wernt in the game
-kings canyon didnt suck
-mastiff was more powerful than the kraber
when having an heirloom actually meant something too. nowadays everyone has one and there's nothing special about them.
I miss 3x on the smg and no sniper ammo. I miss bridges and cascades the most though
I started on day 1. I still got clips of my gameplay from the first week onwards that I will never delete.
Man I forgot how good Cascades was. The original King's Canyon even by today's standards is so good. So, imagine when it was brand new. Ah man. Also, showing clips of Acue and Daltoosh killing it reminds me of how SHIT I was when I started lol.
