- To celebrate Kaa Day, here it is, the one you've all been asking for. Please let me know what you think in the comments!
If you want more, check out my Twitter account at the end of the video. I also write stories featuring our favourite snake, along with other serpentine creatures.
Incredible analysis. Dare I say a few steps above every other one I’ve seen. You just have such a way with words.
Thank you so much, man 😭 it really means a lot to read those words.
My take:
1:36 I disagree with that. I think Mowgli was just trying not to fall.
3:45 I disagree. Mowgli clearly is afraid and wary of Kaa's gaze. He just doesn't want to show it too much.
5:54 What makes you think that? Mowgli knows from experience that Kaa is trying to eat him and that's why he's trying to avoid his eyes.
8:29 I don't think so. Mowgli obviously just looked at the tail as an observation. And Mowgli is not spoiled. He may be sheltered, but he's more like confused and insecure because of his identity crisis.
10:37 The reason is because Mowgli is in a very fragile emotional state in this scene due to feeling unloved and unwanted.
15:07 Again, not spoiled. Mowgli can be rude, but only because he's confused and afraid. There's no reason to think Mowgli lacks empathy.
Your fics made me feel MANY things and this video is doing it again. Oh boy.
Thank you so much!
Another fantastic breakdown. Love the insight you bring and I'm your thoughts. It's very nice to see ^^
Thank you so much!
Great job on analyzing the second encounter of Kaa and Mowgli I love this one more than the first 👍❤️
Thank you so much!
It's a shame as well the live action scenes are not like these.
This was pretty good. Bummer that this is Mowgli's last encounter with Kaa. I really enjoyed all these analyses, differing opinions on Mowgli aside, of course.
Thank you! I never said I was done with this analysis though.
@@twanandersen You don't say? In that case, I will look forward to what comes next.
1:24 I completely agree. It makes it seem that the day before was just one long detour to land him back where he belongs 😋
Excellent work, as always!!
Thank you so much!
Amazing i love It so much great Job dude!❤
Your analysis videos are so cool. Looking forward to the Kaa/Khan scene one if you want to do that as well
Thank you! I'm doing that one next :)
@@twanandersen Awesome. That scene is so engaging for a multitude of reasons, especially combined with the encounter before it
Another magnificent analysis of the encounter!
Thank you so much!
@@twanandersen You are quite welcome
I hope I can see you do an analysis of Shanti's encounter. :)
Fantastic stuff! Please please please do the Shanti one!
I'll consider it, but no promises!
If mowgli were to meet kaa a third time, would he be more resitant or vulnerable to the hypnotic spell?
Im curious if you think mowgli processes the hypnosis as instantaneous or slow and gradual
Based on what we see, it seems the effectiveness of the hypnosis depends on the prey's emotional state. Mowgli is more resistant to the hypnosis at first because he's headstrong and strong-willed. But in the second encounter he couldn't resist both because Kaa caught him during an emotionally vulnerable moment (Baloo broke his promise to Mowgli, which made him feel betrayed and unwanted) and, as the video points out, being blindfolded likely made his eyes more photosensitive and thus more susceptible to sudden exposure.
Bagheera fell into a trance immediately because he was afraid of Kaa, which made him vulnerable.
And you can notice when Kaa hypnotizes Shanti, he's not just controlling her. He's practically puppeteering her. Shanti had been raised to be a perfect obedient daughter who never questions authority. That alone makes her susceptible to a mere fraction of Kaa's hypnotic power. And that's not even mentioning the fact that she was literally facing her worst nightmare at the time, which completely nullifies any chance of an ounce of resistance.
How did he know Kaa's tail beckoned him?
Kaa never told him to move, only to shut his eyes.
Did anyone analyze this moment already?
This is great. :D I don't think I disagree with any of your thoughts.
Also, I have few questions. Will we get analise of Shanti and Kaa encounter? Or Kaa and Shere Khan? Or live action one? Also, If I'm correct, this scene use cgi to make more pictures per second. Is there a video made ONLY with those cgi pics, like, where real ones were removed?
Thank you!
To answer your questions:
- Both encounters will be analysed, yes.
- I am not doing the live-action one.
- You can find these on Taro's Kaarchive, under fanmade videos.
@@twanandersen Taro Kaarchive is on UA-cam?

Do you plan on making a Twanalysis of Shanti's encounter with Kaa?
Great analysis btw
I am not making any promises, but I'll consider it.
@@twanandersenIf you do, then consider this: you can notice when Kaa hypnotizes Shanti, he's not just controlling her. He's practically puppeteering her. Well done are you going to do the encounter between Kaa and Shere Khan.
Thanks! And yes.
This is why I don’t like snakes
You wouldn't like to be hypnotized, coiled, and be in a state of pure bliss?
@@mranonymously1023 hypnotized and pur bliss: yes
But coiled up and attempted to be eaten by him:HELL NO
