I wish they covered this in the game. At least addressing that Byleth has time powers and, after using them, deem Rodrigue's sacrifice necessary to save Dimitri. Would have been more touching and impactful. Besides, Felix does say that if his father could see Dimitri now (after his sacrifice), he would be glad to have lost his life saving him. Hell, if we go one step further, the whole event would have been a good cutscene and looked far better as such. As it stands, we don't know why Fleche was taunting Dimitri like "I bet it hurts reeeal bad, doesn't it?!" Did she have the sword's tip at his neck? Did she already stab him? Can't know, the cg they had for it has her poised to strike instead.
Sandra C. There's an animation that shows Flèche striking right before the CG. That's why Dimitri sounded injured beforehand. She was moving to finish him off when Rodrigue jumped in.
My headcanon is that Byleth considered using divine pulse to save Rodrigue, then was like, 'ehhhhh... nah'. Because that's what I did. Decided it didn't really matter if Rodrigue died.
In my head I wanted to say “Fuck Rodrigue” because the stupid battle had to be reset whenever he died because he was too weak to survive any attack. I had to put Dimitri right in front of him to protect him, but I forgave him when I saw Dimitri changed because of that.
1:40 When I played this route this would instead be Felix flying at the monster, killing it in one punch, then elbow dropping the death knight. I didn't have Lysithea and I didn't need her because Felix probably could have solo'd half of the enemies in the chapters by himself.
For me, everyone died in the final battle. All I had was Byleth, Dimitri, and Felix. That’s all I needed to wipe out every last unit in that place. It was epic.
On the Gloden Deer route you should have the death knight being dragged to the battle because of his fear of Lysithia or have him completely missing since he does not want to go up against her

Me playing golden deer first and then playing blue lions... I’m playing black eagles now, and because the happiest ending possible, I’ll replay golden deer afterwards and recruit everyone.
Doing this route now, my Dimitri reached the point of Bat wrath/vengence before timeskip, so after time skip he can literatlly solo the entire enemy on their turn the moment timeskip happened. Like its hilarious how he says "I would have thrown myself against an army and died" meanwhile I do that in combat, just have him solo entire enemy armies in their turn. The entire empire? just need him solo, as he 100% crit rate kills entire armies. First time playing this game, glad I picked Blue Lions, LOL
I think that's probably why the blue lions route has more chapters than Black Eagle, because not only do you lose the ability to instruct you're f****** chosen Lord, but you also lose access to everybody's favorite bodyguard. And that's not taking into mind that if you f***** up during the first half you could lose him forever on that play through by the by!
you're aware that golden deer route has the same amount of chapters as blue lions route right? black eagles (crimson flower) is the exception not the norm
There were a number of problems that could have been fixed or prevented with a Divine Pulse. "Hey Felix, I could have saved your Dad, but I didn't." *Thales knocks Byleth down an open chasm* "I COULD REWIND TIME AND FIX THIS BUT I'M NOOOOOOoooootttt....!!"
(spoilers maybe??) so there is a theory going around that because Dimitri started going insane after the loss of Byleth before the time skip. Everyone he ever cared about died in front of him causing him to suffer nightmares. He would also (presumably) see and hear the voices of those who he was unable to save (survivor's guilt) and he gouged out his own eye in an attempt to stop seeing them everywhere he went. It is never quite explained what happened however, in at least two playthroughs where he is going crazy with vengeance he has the eyepatch but Crimson rose, he has both eyes and is relatively sane.
@@tgssaiah8548 that doesnt sound right. he probably just got careless with all the killing. someone landed a lucky blow. same thing happens when he dies on the golden deer route. he just runs into a horde of enemies.

First DP: Byleth kills Fleche, but she managed to stab Dimitri
Second DP: Byleth gets stabbed, Dimitri cries
Third DP: Dimitri laughs at Fleche dead body and becomes more insane.
Fourth DP: Byleth is forced to let Rodrigue to die because no other option can save Dimitri.
I fear this theory would be true, like Sothis said some things aren't meant to be changed...
Sandra C. I believe she had stabbed him once before the art showing her about to kill him. So he was already injured
Sandra C. There's an animation that shows Flèche striking right before the CG. That's why Dimitri sounded injured beforehand. She was moving to finish him off when Rodrigue jumped in.
@@CRod840 Ah thank you for clarifying
My headcanon is that Byleth considered using divine pulse to save Rodrigue, then was like, 'ehhhhh... nah'.
Because that's what I did. Decided it didn't really matter if Rodrigue died.
In my head I wanted to say “Fuck Rodrigue” because the stupid battle had to be reset whenever he died because he was too weak to survive any attack. I had to put Dimitri right in front of him to protect him, but I forgave him when I saw Dimitri changed because of that.
1:09 when I auto battle and they somehow kill my overpowered unit! Time to turn back time and go for Kill every last one of them!
Why the fuck do you autobattle?

1:40 When I played this route this would instead be Felix flying at the monster, killing it in one punch, then elbow dropping the death knight. I didn't have Lysithea and I didn't need her because Felix probably could have solo'd half of the enemies in the chapters by himself.
For me, everyone died in the final battle. All I had was Byleth, Dimitri, and Felix. That’s all I needed to wipe out every last unit in that place. It was epic.
Yeah felix is damn strong

I'm sad there wasn't a joke about Claude going "Fuck this shit, I'm out"
That last "KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM" was all it took. I laughed for 5 minutes straight.
0:20 I guess this was BEFORE Dedue came back. Assuming you did his Paralogue.
My goodness, I wish you had the option to just drag him to class-
On the Gloden Deer route you should have the death knight being dragged to the battle because of his fear of Lysithia or have him completely missing since he does not want to go up against her
Or both! Stage start... *silhouette of death knight in dotted lines flashing*. Lysithea has left the game followed by Lysithea and death knight have joined the game.xD
Love this route bc everyone gets to live except for El and Hubert, the ones who started the war, tho i would have liked to let them live too :(
I played BL first, then GD. I just started my black eagle run and I am so desperate to save this girl, this game is not kind to her haha.
@@Ellierienna I think it is kind to her by letting her die before she realized how all she did this for was nothing but a missinterpretation of the history.
@@kellyjohana516 It wasn't the lies Arundel told her that made her start the war. It was the suffering she went through as a child and how it was just for obtaining a crest. Then she sees the whole continent glorify the very things that she and her family suffer for. She heard Rhea talk about the Goddess and how she watches all over Fódlan yet no one came to her family's aid when they suffered. She saw how the Church controls everything. Edelgard doesn't want to change the past or avenge anyone, the reason for the Seiros - Nemesis conflict hardly matters to her, she just wants a better future.
@@kellyjohana516 Nah, definitely not. While her version of events isn't 100% accurate, they aren't the reason she starts the war. She wants to overhaul the way the entire continent runs, from the way leaders are chosen, to the nobility system, to the crest system, to the church, and the slithery dudes. Basically root out all of the core issues that Fodlan has.
The fact that her war is what allows for positive change in Fodlan, no matter which route you're on, makes her actions necessary imo. Ugly, but necessary. Things were absolutely fucked the way they were, and I feel terrible that like Dimitri, she dies in all routes but her own.

Blue Lions can recruit 31 out of the 34 cast.
After thinking about it, i'm pretty sure you can save the most lives on that route as well, including some characters you can't recruit.

When everyone is talking about how good Lysithia is but she’s NOT EVEN IN BLUE LIONS
Majora Gaming That’s the joke LOL
omg... I've played the Blue Lions route three times and I never asked myself why Byleth didn't use Divine Pulse to save Rodrigue. My mind is blown.
Ok I don't get the last clip since Dimitri didn't want to kill edelgard he wanted to work together with and make up but she takes out the dagger he gave her as a gift and tried to kill him. Also can I just say that part kinda makes me really not like edelgard even more so with the part where they talk before in 21 and Dimitri her child hood and school friend offers to end the war peaceful and try to find a way for them both to reach their goals without sacrificing the others but she says nope
It was a joke
You must’ve not watched the Black Eagles video.
ua-cam.com/video/bTsft5HVK24/v-deo.html
The joke is that Edelgard kills mercilessly Dimitri on her route.
In the edelgard route, Dimitri was saying "I will kill you," after being critically wounded in chapter 17. He was a savage cur who did not stop his Edelgard blood lust even when he lost everything due to his own foolishness. Edelgard knew he was never gonna be saved at that point so she put him out of his mercy. She even feels bad about it and cries because she wished Dimitri wouldn't have gone down that path
@@kellyjohana516 no I get that but Dimitri showed more mercy and forgiveness they she did when he had more reason to be pissed she tryed to have him executed made took over almost everything in his home but he still shows forgiveness
@@Arando-bs8mp no I saw it but it that felt a bit closer to what happened but Dimitri never wanted to edelgard only dies by trying to kill him. Could been better if she threw the dagger then he got pissed
I remember i almost cried because my birthday is on 4/13 and dimitri was looking at the pile of rubble or whatever and instead of getting a letter from dimitri(who i knew i was going to s support) i got it from gilbert and that just hurt. Thanks for the hands of time gag. I was thinking just that when I played.
This animation style is cute
Ah yes. You are finally doing a video on the best house. I proudly present you, a sub.
Here ya go!

Dimitri is one of the best Lords in all Fire Emblem history.
I wish I could see the class opening as seen in Black Eagles and Golden Deers route, except applied for Blue Lions.
This style remember a LOT FF War of Lions.
do a golden deer version
7/10 Not enough mentions of the Tragedy of Duscur.

After Rodrigue died, Felix got so enraged he became way better than he was before, saving my ass.
Kill every last one of them!! -Ditmtri going nuts that is one of my favorite lines from this game awesome video by the way.

it seems like linhardt was the mvp of this game. only he seems to actually solve the crest problem.
This is true like it took me so long for Dimitri to actually say something to me😤
Me playing golden deer first and then playing blue lions... I’m playing black eagles now, and because the happiest ending possible, I’ll replay golden deer afterwards and recruit everyone.
OMG so great, love it!
I am missing the part where Claude went sailing, preferable with the appropriate WarCraft II sound bite.
1:07 this is so sad!
Sylvain being the only one with the mellow emoji out of the whole gang is fitting since he becomes lowkey suicidal post timeskip.
1:31 best moment and 2:07 if you see the other episode of Black eagles
Also, Ingrid magic-tanking EVERYTHING
Doing this route now, my Dimitri reached the point of Bat wrath/vengence before timeskip, so after time skip he can literatlly solo the entire enemy on their turn the moment timeskip happened. Like its hilarious how he says "I would have thrown myself against an army and died" meanwhile I do that in combat, just have him solo entire enemy armies in their turn. The entire empire? just need him solo, as he 100% crit rate kills entire armies. First time playing this game, glad I picked Blue Lions, LOL
Lmao, imagine sparing edelgard.
its what dimitri wanted most.
I wanted to drag him too lol
Present Mic He would have amputated our arms if we could do that LMAO
@@christopherwallace7903 true XD
I think that's probably why the blue lions route has more chapters than Black Eagle, because not only do you lose the ability to instruct you're f****** chosen Lord, but you also lose access to everybody's favorite bodyguard. And that's not taking into mind that if you f***** up during the first half you could lose him forever on that play through by the by!
you're aware that golden deer route has the same amount of chapters as blue lions route right? black eagles (crimson flower) is the exception not the norm
@@mirijoy1012 I'm joking!

DONT EVEN START WITH RODRIGUE. I CRIED SO MUCH MY TEARS RAN OUT.

There were a number of problems that could have been fixed or prevented with a Divine Pulse.
"Hey Felix, I could have saved your Dad, but I didn't."
*Thales knocks Byleth down an open chasm*
"I COULD REWIND TIME AND FIX THIS BUT I'M NOOOOOOoooootttt....!!"
LOL i love the intro
NOW THE GOLDEN DEER ROUTE IS LEFT TO SEE
How did Dimitri become a pirate king? What happened to his eye?
(spoilers maybe??)
so there is a theory going around that because Dimitri started going insane after the loss of Byleth before the time skip.
