X-Men TAS SERIES had the best voice acting and character development ever of any comic book. Best Apocalypse, best magneto, best juggernaut, best Mr. Sinister, best omega red.... List goes on and on.
The writers and voice actors of the 90’s cartoon, took pride in their work. They weren’t making a ton of money however, they knew they were onto something special, not just for kids, but teens and young adults. At least that’s their story during Comic Con interviews?
Apocalypse is actually quite scary in the Cartoon and I remember being very scared of him when I saw the show for the first time and he is quite scary even now.
This version of apocalypse is so inspiring and godlike. The comic book/film versions were terribly unimaginative. I hope the new series finally reveals this version of the character to be a supreme celestial and not a mutant, and do away with the Egyptian backstory. In the early days of the '97 series, Apocalypse was always intended to be something far more than a mutant. Later seasons they modified the character to be more in line with the uninspiring comic book incarnation of the time.
This Apocalypse is almost entirely based directly on the comic version dude, the comic version was able to take on the freaking High Evolutionary (Who was able to trade blasts with Galactus) and win before this series aired.
@@Bolbi145 The comic version has complete inconsistency at the arbitrary whims of the writers. None are inspiring. The early version of this character before the comic backstory was established intended this Apocalypse to be something different and more than a mutant. Eventually, it fell more in line with the comics, but still retained a sense of celestial invincibility, which was very entertaining. Only the imagination of the writers limits how to satisfyingly handle an 'evil' but invincible character that shouldn't otherwise win without losing a sense of invincibility.
Love when Cerebro matches up Arch Angel against Apocalypses on the computer screen. Just from the sheer size difference, Gambit was right…..”dats crazy!!!!” 😂
if Apocalypse comes in X-men 97 ether season 2 or 3 he will be voice by David Kaye how voice Apocalypse and Professor X in X-men Evolution because Kaye's voice sound similar to the late John Colicos and he will do great to honor him.

Nothing in the live action movie was right when it came to his character. Nothing against the actor either. It was the script, the costume, the lines, The story ....
