Far better than that Ivan Ooze looking live action parody made by Bryan Singer. Apparently the concept of the character was far beyond him like as one Apocalypse's quotes he so states from these scenes.
That sad thing is Ivan Ooze was ALSO an extremely entertaining movie villain. Oscar Issac's version...I don't remember a single moment from him. Sometimes you gotta know how to ham it up.
Your missing a great quote. It is in the episode where Rouge seeks a cure. "I Know more of this world, than you can possibly imagine, that is why I must destroy it!" -Apocalypse
@ 1:36 " You promised to destroy Lilandra!" "I lied".
One of my favorites line of Apoc, so simple, but what a delivery!
"Am I doomed to struggle with such filth... until the end of time..? *enter sadface* "
Gotta love him.
"Each generation has cried out for a new world. But has built the same one, corrupt and weak. But the new world SHALL come to pass. I shall purge the earth of the benighted humans!"
Not sure which is a bigger flex: "...you are no closer than the Babylonians with their swords and fire sticks!" or "I am as far beyond mutants as they are beyond YOU!"
"I am not malevolent....I simply am" thats the best right there !!
I’m here because of Mike Tyson, I can see why he’s his favorite marvel character!
This is one of my favorite quotes" I am as far beyond mutants as they are beyond you"
Love his voice.
Best of all : "I Am as Far beyond mutants as They Are beyond you!"
This should've been the trailer for the 2016 X-Men: Apocalypse
This is what Apocalypse should have been. not the 20th Century Fox version. That version sounds so weak.
20th Century Fox made this cartoon.
+hafabee Marvel had to be writing it.
harlemhustla145
No, it was created entirely by 20th Century Fox.
hafabee
BS.....All the X Men have their original powers from the comics and Apocalpse doesnt look like Ivan Ooze with a high voice. How do they make this great cartoon and screw the movies up?
hafabee
I just looked up the writers. Fox just hired some good animation writers.
"Evil? I am not malevolent I simply am"
"I am the rocks of the eternal shore. Crash against me and be broken!"
dude is some kind of poet
0:17 the "everything they built will fall" line is a nod towards this quote, which is pretty cool imo.
There exists no freedom from me. There is only freedom through me.
Too bad Michael Clarke Duncan has passed. This role had his name on it.
***** Christopher Judge(Teal'c) from Stargate SG-1 is a candidate.
"I am as far beyond mutants as they are beyond you..." I love that line :)
great video. thanks for adding it. best villain and voice actor combination of all time. only quote i can remember that is missing is from the episode "the cure," i think. it goes something like "for i know more of this world than you could ever dream...that is why i must destroy it"
Love the original voice of apocalypse
9 people shall pay for their hubris right nowwwww.
have been battling your kind for thousands of years. i have triumphed long ago, but what if like tortured sisyphus i can not win?
I love when he's talking to cable and becomes briefly self aware of how despite all his power he's doomed to never actually succeed.
Apocalypse probably made William Shakespeare his bitch XD
Apocalypse probably was Shakespeare.
thomas johnson Dont tell me he wrote hamlet
😂😂
There exists no freedom from me. There is only freedom THROUGH ME.
+Dr. Malik Jenkins I did the "I simply am!" when I got in trouble at school lol.
"Blasphemer YOU DEFILE MY SACRED CHAMBER?!?!?" Whenever anyone came into my room.
"Evil? I am not malevolent. I simply AM!"
"Which soon, will be more then I can say for you"
Back when after you get off work from your voice acting job you'd go do a show on Broadway. 90's Marvel brought it with the dramatic evil villains. Magneto, Kingpin, Apocalypse, The Mandarin. All epically voiced villans. Spider-Man and Wolverine definitely have some great lines too, especially Spider-Man.
