He kills me when apocalypse says right noooooooooooowwwwwww!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jamil Lapread i swear i was gonna comment on that and then i read this comment lol. Right Noooooowwwww
Same here 😂
Sound like a 4 year old playing with action figures
Buddy was PISSED. "You dare defile my sacred CHAMBER!!??" There was GENUINE anger that this dude existed in that location lol
Possibly my favorite episodes of the entire series! ANY episode with Apocalypse in it was one I watched religiously!
Soooo true, I remember as a kid getting so psyched if I even suspected that it was gonna be an Apocalypse epsiode!
Heh, religiously. Heheh, Apocalypse.
Accidental double entendre.
Me too
Amen!
Yeah, apocalypse and sinister episodes
Give Cable credit: Apocalypse had been unwavering for thousands of years, and my dude just pushed him into a full-blown existential crisis in a matter of seconds. Damn......
he pulled a Linkara lol
😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The sheer fact that he has been stomping mutants his entire life without succeeding in his goals, turned out to be the trigger to his existential crisis
*SPEECH 100*
"Never win?""INSECT" 😂
" how many have dreamed of my end, you are no closer than the babylonians with their swords and fire sticks uhuhahahaharrha" That line changed my life. True story
God, the dialogue in this series was Grade A stuff. “I am the rocks of the eternal shore, crash against me and be broken!”.
Should also say something about apocalypse though. How could the first human not beat a bunch of babylonians with swords and sticks? But of course, that's explained in this scene as well.
Apocalypse from this series, hands down had the greatest dialog of ANY villain from any animated series known to man!
“Look upon me and tremble, for I bring the purity of oblivion to your world!”
Man the way Apocalypse talks. Excellent excellent work
0:48! Possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard.
NOW yes.
When you were a kid sitting there on a Saturday (the only time this show would air) and it cut to a commercial break at that moment, it was enough to make a person throw a temper tantrum.
They just quietely snuck the word hubris in a kids show and nobody thinks it s out of place. 90s kids shows were something
It was Great. Comic Books read like that with Certain Villains using old words and Terminology. And the way John Colicos read the lines was just Perfect. Felt Diabolical and Poetic at the same time. I always liked the line he gave to Beast, *"Beast, how many "peoples" have dreamed of my end? You are no closer than the "Babylonians" with their swords and fire sticks!"*
Doubt many people know sisyphus either.
Apocalypse is so cool, he can stop fighting in the heat of battle just to have a two minute conversation with himself about is capabilities! LOL
When you're five thousand years old, I imagine EVERYTHING is an existential crisis. 🤷🏾♂️
The script and story of the X-MEN cartoon was way better then the comic movies these days
Apocalypse was all sad there for a moment 😢
@01:28 possibly the greatest realisation moment of any villain in fiction
sreddi83 I think he was the only one who even pondered that, too! Like, my mind has just been blown! 😮
True
Saiol1000 The Crossover not since maybe ultron or maybe Dr. Manhattan has it seen like a villan in a tv series or movie thought things through to where he's borderline having a crisis mid fight
I know right, at some point villains have to stop and think *why do I always lose??*
I love how Jack Kirby made both Apocalypse and Darksied but kept them both vastly different. Darksied is more cunning and diabolically evil while Apocalypse is a literal instrument of biblical destruction.
This Apocalypse would eat Thanos alive! For his impudence, his hubris the puny insect, that filth! Bro, those were disses, one away from dissing his mum.
Apocalypse was so damn dramatic 😂😂
His voice would always scare the crap out of me as a kid, and the fact that no one would ever hurt him 😂
One of the best animated cartoons ever
0:49 That's a LITTLE over the top acting right there apocalypse💯😂
what a fucking badass villain
Apocalypse has an "A" on his belt, right above his dingus. Hahahahaaa!
"You presume to attempt to destroy me, mutant?"
"Uhm, you're the first ever mutant in history.."
"Why thank you, mutant"
I haven't seen this clip in a while, but all I can imagine now is that Tom Hardy thought this Apocalypse would make for a great foundation for his Bane voice.
You are closer to defeating me then the Babylonians with their swords and fire sticks.
"I am not malevolent. I simply am!" Huge Tom Hardy's Bane vibes.
*"Evil? I am not malevolent. I simply am."*
As a kid, "Apocalypse=evil" so I didn't understand. As I got older I realized Apocalypse could kill any or all of the X-men if he really wanted but he *chose* to hold back in all of their fights except maybe one. He's right. He's not evil/malevolent.
That one being the erased timeline in the 2nd season where he kills the X-men and Bishop in a rage right?
Fun fact: Mike Tyson once said the exact same thing after he knocked someone out in a boxing match. In his book, he stated he was a fan of this show and wanted to use that quote.
@@ericdugdale8585 Yep, that's the one.
@@edntz where did he say that??? I'd love to see it.
@@mamster233 He says it after a fight, but i don't recall which fight it was. Sorry. You'd have to go through each one and skip to the end of the fight to see when he says it. His fights are on youtube.
If the movie made apocalypse like this then it might have been watchable
This X-men cartoon when it aired when I was a child. I fell in love with Apocalypse. I remember his quotes for 25 or more years. Than the movie ruined him. Now I come here to watch the one true Apocalypse. Not the fall god in the movie.
"You shall *pay* for your hubris... RIGHT NOOOOWWWW!!"
This is the Apocalypse that I recognize and enjoy! John Colicos was amazing.
The fact that Apocalypse had a existential crisis in the middle of a fight is hilarious lol
Wasn't a crisis, merely a revelation.
lol what do you think "existential crisis" meant? a serious revelation on his life and what he is trying to achieve , he dead stopped what he was doing@@edntz
@@tarikcollins778 Is pondering a question for 10 seconds without feeling depressed about it, really considered a crisis though? Doesn't seem like it to me, but it depends on how you interpret the definition. And he didn't stop what he was doing, he simply looked for a new solution to accomplish his goal. Unless you're simply talking about taking out cable, but cable was obsolete. An insect is insignifcant and his chamber became irrelevant too, because he can now time travel. So there was no need to protect his chamber anymore. Had nothing to do with his realization between the balance of good and evil that didn't allow him to win.
the thing is you are interpreting that phrase as a form of depression but just google the word and you'll see why I used it@@edntz
So sad we never got to see this Apocalypse on the big screen.
Yeah I was so disappointed in the 2016 Apocalypse movie 🎥,
That Apocalypse was weak.
This apocalypse voice, menacing and evil. The movie version: A sophisticated British person.
Yeah we got that Ivan Ooze knock off instead. lol
@@macuser7048 hahahhaa, i dont know why, but that comment seriously made me lmao
Early Stewie Griffin must have got his vocabulary from Apocalypse
The dialogue In that clip is better than all the X-Men movies combined
“BLASPHEMER!! YOU DEFILE MY SACRED CHAMBER!!!”
Anytime someone disturbs me while I’m taking a dump.
Cable: I’m not a mutant, god damnit!
...Yes you are, the telepathic and telekinetic abilities you use to prevent the cyberorganic virus from eating you up are proof of that.
He is tho?
They should have gotten this voice actor to play Apocalypse in the movie
he's dead.
u235u235u235 lmao
u235u235u235 wtf!?!?!?!?
John Colicos passed away over 20 years ago.
Cable gave Apocalypse the most dangerous thing in the world; curiosity.
Fucking right?!
And a time travel device / all knowing computer.
@@edntz To be fair, the computer seems to have rejected Apocalypse given that his very first attempt at time travel was a complete disaster. Cable def installed ID-apps.
The one thing I loved and enjoyed about 90’s X-men they all talked 💩 while fighting. Lol
i'll never 4get, this is what made me start paying attention 2 Apocalypse. when he said, "Evil?! I am not malevolent, i simply am." i was like, "Whoa!!" "this dude is no Sauron, or Cain Marko butthurt at his stepbrother. this dude is a THREAT!". and i've loved his big sexy molecular structure changing ass ever since that day.
Cable literally pushed Apocalypse into an existential crisis
The way cable is experienced with his powers and time travel is so amazing
I wonder where he got his ''computer'' from.
I thought Cable was going to give him a hug 🫂 because Apocalypse looked so depressed. 😂
Calling someone insect and filth while talking calmly is hilarious!!
The beginning of where Cable says, “Cover me”, it reminds me of Marvel vs Capcom 2, when he asks for assistance.
A man’s ennui did more to stop him then mutants for thousands of years.
Cable just made Apocalypse one hundred times more dangerous and powerful, thanks Cable!
Hey, he saves the day. And has more times than all the X-Men put together. He's earned a few screw ups.
Right? "What bothers me most is he could've killed me and didn't even bother!" Uh, dude, what should really bother you the most is that thing you just said about him being able to time travel now, but okay.
"Stick lasers and stones will never break my bones, but those words actually hurt me"
-The Apocalypse
Great writing! Apocalypse showed real character growth
1:27 He halts in unstoppable attack to ponder out loud about his plight. He almost make you feel sorry for him, never being able to achieve his goals and dreams.
I really admire how the villains monologue in this series so much.
As if at some moments they can have self reflection or take time to better analyze things in their perspective.
It showed that things were just so easy for them yet they still wanted to remain self aware of everything around them
Apocalypse's monolog about never succeeding implies that he actually listens to the words of his enemies and actually considers their words.
Apocalypse seems to be like Beast. High level vocabulary and extremely well read on stories.
Apocalpyse used words like hubris. Beast used words like stratagem and inexorable.
Apocalypse talked about the tortured Sisyphus. Beast would recite Shakespeare.
Apocalypse is over 2000 years old and is superhumanly intelligent
Apocalypse isn't well read on stories, he's old enough to had experienced them first hand.
I always appreciated they both got along with that alien spaceship AI so well.
@@jerodast there's no way Beast would be able to defeat Apocalypse. you could clone Beast 1000 times and even then he'd still lose
@@bsaintnyc His name is En Saba Nor.
Such a shame the power of Apocalypse was not shown properly in the X-men movies
The scene when he controlled all the nukes was sick
Cable= kyle Reese of marvel.
He's John Connor and the Terminator and Miles Dyson
A manly space marine.
He HAS to sound at least close to this in his MCU debut. 👌🏾😂
Cable: "I will kill you, Apocalypse!"
Apoc: "I'm a God. How can you kill a God? What a grand and intoxicating innocence!"
Cable pulled out the Hyper Viper Beam a bit too late. Loved how he told his team Cover me like on Marvel vs Capcom 2
1:00 it's strange but i laughed at this one too.
Strangely enough, he has a tiny viewscope mounted on his arm weapon, but he is never seen actually peering through it.
that monologue
Alfredo Sanchez Dragon ball super ep 65 dub on par with Lord apocalypse
Apocalypse's true power is to be overly dramatic.
Apocalypse has an existential crisis.
Apocalypse vs Cable AKA Mr. En Sabah Nur trying and failing to cancel his Xfinity contract
When you are fallout player and have 200% speech and 10 charisma and talk to the final boss.
The writing on this show was on another level. It really made you think.
This is what it's like having 100 speech in Fallout
Cable: "shooting him with this gun didn't work the other 876 times I have tried, but maybe 877 will be different"
Actually I'm pretty sure Cable's big gun is one of the few things that is canonically able to hurt Apocalypse.
What's odd is that Cable was using his pistol and only pulled the big gun at the end when it was too late.
@@Archedgar I doubt his big gun can hurt apocalypse. Is it stronger than cyclops blasts? or Storms' lightning?
@@edntz It's easily stronger than either of those but on top of that, it was retrofitted with technology that doesn't exist yet, and I mean in Cable's era. Specifically tech that disrupts & damages Apocalypse. Yes his big gun can hurt Apocalypse, though not a lot.
@@Archedgar Where is the evidence that cable's gun is stronger than cyclops optic blast? Cyclops can destroy an entire mountain with his optic blasts. I never seen that type of output from cable's weapon.
@@edntz Yeah no. Don't waste my time with your BS strawman arguments & deflection.
TMW it becomes apparent the cartoon version of Apocalypse is far more threatening than the movie version.
I agree.
The movie Apocalypse was too small, and the scripting was very bad.
You dare challenge APOCALYPSE again? BLASPHEMER!!! hahaha my favorite line
Apocalypse and his vocabulary is the best, the way he has the epiphany in the middle of the fight, just brilliant.
Cable almost had Apocalypse with a talk no jutsu trick, then Apocalypse time travelled. Oh,well...
