I agree. Two of my favorite moments from this clip is at 0:45 when she rises into the air. Her cape looked so cool. The second is when she changes into her battle outfit. I wish she did this in the X-Men movies, but the movies were lame. They were a poor representation of Storm. This is my favorite version of her.

This Storm was shown to be very powerful. She was able to drop a building on Juggernaut, stop a tidal wave from destroying New York City and was even able to stop an entire planet’s climate from continuing to be a destructive swarm of multiple storms. Not bad if you ask me.
Ryan Stewart yeah, like in the first movie where Jean dies trying to stop the water from crushing everyone, Storm should have easily been able to stop that.

I agree. She is very powerful. It's sad that the movies make her seem so weak and ineffective. But there is something I wondered about in this clip. In the scene where Storm shot a lightening bolt at Magneto it had no effect on him, and he said that magnetism and electricity are related, well why does his powers affect Storm?

We already have an accurate live-action Storm. Just not 100% accurate.
Storm accurately adapted is to overpowered and there'd be no movie. I would like to see them address her claustrophobia if that's still a thing in the comics.
The best part about Ororo in this show was that she had actual plots centred around her AND was a critical member of the team. The other series reduce her more and more to just her powers, and its such a shame. Her powers aren't why she's phenomenal.

@@bshays21 They explained in the comics that her clothes were made of a special material designed by Beast that would transform into her costume when electrified. Far fetched, but at least the comic mentioned it as a special tech. Notice Beast also built a tech to make him look normal at times in the films.

As a kid whenever Storm came on screen I knew she was going to wreck something. In a lot of episodes she did the most damage to the most foes, like that army of sentinels. It's no wonder why they made her an Omega Level Mutant. Hopefully the MCU will do her justice, because Storm needs some major shine.

Powerful, masterful, tactical, the best on screen adaptation of Storm.
This show was not afraid to have her dominate their opponents while the X-Men stayed back, and she'd still contribute when the fight couldn't end with her dominating (for plot purposes) instead of being written incompetent or faint. They never shied away from showing how versatile she is as well as how damn powerful and I greatly respect that. Oh and best of all they actually showed her *leading* the X-Men.
The creators are confirmed to being in talks with Disney to revive the show as well, imagine an unapologetically powerful Storm of that time with current animation... that would be freaking awesome.
Love Evolution but they made her a background character because they could write her to solve every problem, but again the 90s show proved to do that without dumbing her down or her stealing from the other X-Men. And WATX... well from what I remember she needed to be saved constantly. So yeah 90s is queen.

Was never ashamed to say that Storm and Rogue were my favorite in this cartoon when asked.. I mean When it came to Storm, who didn't admire a woman with claustrophobia that was still very much a strong in character etc.
Always loved the epic music that plays when Storm uses her powers.
To anyone who says her speeches b4 or during using her powers makes sense, clearly don't understand her character. Storm is often characterized as a godess, a higher entity, a witch, it makes sense that like those entity's she would commentate what she's doing. A witch typically chants to help Channel their power. Storm herself comes from a long ancestors of witches who themselves were on par with the soccer Supreme. Storms powers work kinda weird, they are tied to her emotions, and uses her own skill, and influences of her magic ancestry to help control her powers; she is extremely powerful and capable to destroying large regions of land, and manipulating the earth environment as a whole. Storm doesn't create weather out of thin air, the weather is an extention of herself in a way and why flying comes so natural to her as well as her physic connection with nature itself, able to sense dying trees, when her plants need water, she uses her powers with a lot of skill as she has to anticipate multiple different factors that may hurt of help her intentions, the weather of the area surrounding her, take to much moisture from an already dry region with obvious lasting effects on the environment around her. In theory storm, if a villain or simply didn't have the morality storm typically has, she would create the most long lasting effects harming the earth, which only she herself could undo, typically. That's also another reason why she's often compared to a witch, her powers aren't as simple as the other x men, which isn't a bad thing just means she puts more thought into everything, she's constantly working in a way, which is really a testament to her character as a strong and calm person, regardless of having to keep herself in check 24/7.
If Storm was to rage out of control, with all her powers intact she could destroy on planetary , universal , quite possibly dimensional levels!!!!!

The writers like to focus on her weather manipulation cuz its more known but her witchy powers are in her thats why her control over the wind is so precise she damn near has telekinesis like a witch. If it was jus wind thats all it would be but shes able to mold it and use it as telekinesis if she so pleased. People lose their minds when she starts busting out magic like "storm doesnt have magic" i be like do u not know she comes from a powerful long line of magic and that actual African Gods favor and bless her family line and that she can call on em when she needs em? @mostlyale I mean 5-10 years ago I'd agree but now adays hell every Marvel movie the past few years either has a complete cgi character or has cgi in at least 60% of their scenes, bump that up to 80% in the Avengers and Guardians movies. If they can do Thor and Dr. Strange I see no reason why Storm would be their limit.

FREE" Sauron is not controlling her mind, he's released her control over her own mind. It literally send chills up my spine watching that scene 😱 simply amazing animation, dialogue, sound effects. The two partner with Sauron and Storm are my favorite two episodes of the entire series. The Phoenix saga, and The Dark Phoenix saga coming in close behind.

Storm power are truly on another level. The comic books shows her true power. She breath under water, control weather in space, she a Goddess and half magic and witch power from her mother bloodline. Even a comic said Storm has not tap all the way into her other powers. She not weak on her bad day. Storm is beyond deserves her own movie. But i want them to go all the way in show what she really can do. The woman can take breath out your body...I will not mess with her if they payed me too.

They get paid a fee and they couldn’t continue to afford her in the American way of VA, for a show already financially strapped. The producers wanted to keep her. Storm is Marvels Wonder Woman. but they always down her powers and dont give her the glory she deserves. i think Storm is way stronger than magneto because her powers are so much more deeper. plus her sorcery blood line.
She is though he always says how much she can beat him but holds herself back.

Just a warning for people : I think you really expect too much from the MCU. When she appears in the MCU I doubt she will be extremely powerful. I think she will start out as strong as she was in the X-men movie. What I mean is she will start out nerfed then her powers will grow stronger, we will see her and her abilities develop and grow, like Scarlet Witch in the MCU.

In that X-Men anime they portrayed Storm as a weakling. It's was embarrassing to watch. Her lightning barely did a thing. I've always thought if someone gets struck by lightning they gonna be in a world of pain.

I miss when they depicted Storm as the powerhouse of the team who absolutely wrecked everything & everyone including the brotherhood & inner circle. I just started the x-men anime & after one lightning attack, she was powerless for like 2 episodes straight cuz she was "exhausted".......... I had to turn it off. Great graphics tho!!!
