You commented 3 years ago but if you see this.. Have you EVER find out wtf caused this code? I get it about 4-5 times a months and every mechanic says that he cannot figure it out and just clears the memory. Any solution for you?
It was actually my exes car. She got so mad at me after I replaced the head gasket, egr, intake manifold, map sensor, etc. I got it to run fine but it wouldnt pass emissions testing in Sweden. She took it to her friend that worked at the vw dealer and they charged her $300 and said "here's your car, we can't figure it out. We've got 3 others with the same problem". I took her to the Toyota dealer and there was a 2006 Toyota corolla with 40k kms for a decent price so she bought it.
+K V Verschueren VW Service Manual indicates that after replacing an EGR valve is necessary to perform an basic adjustment. I don't remember on which ECU channel it is perfomerd. But it is necessary.
W T F.... their is something wrong with the UA-cam algorithm ... I am a 67 year old male, on my own phone, logged in to my UA-cam account, watching a channel about repairing car parts.... And a fkn add comes on for ladies sanitary towels...

This package contains a gasket and a plug that cancels the inner pipe on cylinder head but I think is necessary to reprogram the ECU for pass the emission control test.

Hi where does the vacuum line from the EGR valve go to on this model? Appears to have been chopped off and blocked with a screw on my friends vehicle.

Where does that lower, small pip leads? Mine has a narrow tube which lead to nowhere, it's just hanging loose. :O
same here, and it ends with a wide cap that has a small hole in the center. no idea what it is.

@@mariahetszaz8567 I'm pretty sure it was the valve stem seals. Its the only thing that I didn't change before giving up and buying a Toyota.

KUSH BOY If this error code is the EGR valve broken.
+KUSH BOY If EGR valve has an electrical fault. Implausible signal or infinite electrical resistance, then make it.
I replaced it but the code still shows :D
KUSH BOY Before replace. Have you checked all wires? The EGR valve uses five pins. You can perform an actuator test with VCDS.
I had a mechanic to change it. And he deleted the warning light but after some few miles, it came back again
