It wasn't really planned by him doing an album. He didn't even want to play music after Kurt died, at least I think he said something like that in some interviews. But then he started recording and because he had no band he did it all alone. Then the demos started circeling and he published it without changing much.
That's what I was about to say! He commented that the devil was a one man band and he actually is! Love Dave! ❤️

The best part about this movie is the behind the scenes stuff. They asked them how they got Dave Grohl into that Devil costume and they replied: "He just took off his Dave Grohl costume." Everything about this movie is hilarious.
The devil being played by Dave Grohl is one of MANY references this movie makes to Tenacious D's first album. Dave Grohl also played the demon in the video for their song Tribute. They've always been pretty tight.

Scott Pilgrim is f*cking classic..... Pick of Destiny is pretty funny, but simplistic. Scott Pilgrim has so many layers. I think I saw it about 10x before I understood everything. Rock music, anime, comicbook and gaming culture. Something for every form of nerd.

I was in Concert in Frankfurt and 10K PPL knew every sentence of the movie and they did it completly on stage! Was the best Concert ever @ 10 K PPL had the Movie as Musical on Stage and everyone was singing every word with them!

Tenacious D came first, if i remember. Jack Black actually got famous from the duo. two dumpy guys singing hilarious songs. If you haven't already heard it, their song "Tribute to the greatest song in the world" is awesome, and funny as hell.
Which interestingly "in universe" Tribute is almost certainly referring to their half of Beelzeboss, as hinted by them saying towards the end of the movie that it was the greatest song, and they couldn't remember how it went. Real world I believe they've said Stairway to Heaven was what they were thinking of
there used to be this amazing flash-video for "fuck her gently" on the internet, but I haven't seen it in a while. That's how I found them, back in the days.

Man. I love this movie so much. My BF hates it (he's not a jack black fan lol) but I watch it so much I pretty much sing the entire movie (i can't help myself) lol. He just laughs at me. But this is one of my favorite songs from the movie as well as Master Exploder. Definitely watch it. The song Car Chase City is great too

bro I love your hair, ive got a decently long fro myself atm but im trying to get these dreads like you got em, did you do it yourself? if so, how?
My sister manages mine. But it’s not difficult. The trickiest part is parting your hair correctly, after you do that just use your fingers to twist, and then keep doing that every 2-3 months, re twisting the new growth.
Key points to keep in mind.
-There is an ugly stage. You must embrace it.
-Depending on your hair type, it may takes months for it to lock.
-After you twist or retwist, keep your hands out of your hair and wrap your hair up at night (absolute must.)
-Don’t wash it often, you will just wash out the twist.
-Keep your scalp moisturized, I usually do it when I retwist and don’t have to do it again.
Hope this helps, I’m going on my 5th year here pretty soon! My hair now is much longer than what you seen in this video, which is almost 2 years old. Just watch one of my more recent reactions.
