Ok it was initially done for laughs. But they are excellent musicians. Don't believe me? They won a Grammy for their Last in Line cover on the Dio tribute album. They were good enough that Dio gave them his personal blessing. Most people wouldn't react to this, thanks
yes it’s dave grohl, the singer of Nirvana and the whole movie is basically a musical and it’s a masterpiece. and i hate musicals but this entire movie is epic. i’ve seen it atleast 200 times
The pick was his tooth so when it was a pick he was incomplete but he was completed when his tooth was returned and then he was incomplete again because they took his horn off👌
Yeah, a band WAY before. Hell, they were on talk shows giving performances in the 90's. Most of you kids think they're new. The band is like 30 years old.
Beelzeboss is taken from the word Beelzebub, who was a Philistine pagan god frequently substituted for beings like Satan or Baal in Abrahamic culture. This song is based on a myth about the blues musician Robert Johnson meeting Satan at a crossroad in Mississippi and selling his soul to become the greatest artist in the world, as well as The Devil Went Down to Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band, which is about a man named Johnny who beat him in duel for a golden fiddle. It's the classic battle of good and evil. The D vs The Devil. Tenacious D is a shortened version of the sporting term "tenacious defense", but could have other hidden meanings. 🤭 This song is woke beyond compare. The film is pretty awesome.
This Anime series (Beelzebub) is the best Best version ever of Beelzebub by far! People don't really understand what is going on on the Demonic Realm until they've watched this Anime! XD
Thanks for breaking that down. In Kickapoo at the first of the movie, Meat Loaf, in his verses, makes mention of Beelzebub: "Rock and roll's The Devil's work, he wants you to rebel You'll become a mindless puppet, Beelzebub will pull the strings". As I was reading your comment I thought that word looked familiar.
Tenacious D is "also" a band? Tenacious D *IS* the band. They were a band 15 years before this movie. Easy research would lead you to live performances in the 90's.
" . . . [A] mini-movie . . . with music." Damn, someone should get a bunch of different artists to do a whole bunch of those, and turn it into, like, it's own TV channel . . .
Tenacious D Is a great band and this movie loosely... (very loosely) portrays their rise to stardom. It parodies both The Charlie Daniels band in The Devil Went Down to Georgia and the rumors that certain blues and rock singers sold their soul to the devil to gain their skills in music. Robert Johnson was one of them. A blues singer and a member of the 27 club. If you don't know what that is look it up. Johnson is one of the earliest recorded members. Johnson wrote and played a song where he described meeting a demon at a crossroads and making a deal with him to get his music career off the ground. Johnsons untimely death has resulted in multiple theories ranging from conspiracy to straight up biblical intervention.
What is there to be confused about at the end? Everything was wrapped up in a tidy little bow and your response was 'i'm SO confused', and when the devil clearly won you went 'who won???'
I've been both disgusted, and tickled pink the the "D". As with this song, it's a million miles from family friendly. Having said that, I do have a favourite of theirs, a little number called "Tribute". Again Grohl is present as satan. Not so much language, or sexual suggestion.
finally someone gave recognition to his good band, and the reason he's popular in the first place no one would give any shit about foo fighters if he didn't have nirvana on his resume.
If people suggest I watch a clip, why would I watch the whole movie? How would I know to do so? UA-cam wouldn't allow a full movie reaction upload anyway. 🤷♀🤷♀
Your comment would maby have bin interesting, if you had watched the movie? Why make a comment, when you have done nothing to understand what you are watching?
You'd prefer a 'reaction' be to something a person already watched? That's typically the point of a reaction (hearing or seeing something for the first time). 🤔
@@BetterEveryDayUA-cam Your comment would be werry much more interesting, if you had watched it yes. You can watch movies or listen to music sometimes 4-5 times, and still get a deeper understanding evry time. Evry time you study something, your understanding gets depper and more interesting. I dont mind first time reactions, but a first time reaction is surely more interesting, if a professional musician listens to new music for the first time, or a profesional carpenter, watch a building being built. You dont have any skills or expirence, that makes your reaction interesting.

The Tooth was crafted into a Guitar Pick.
The Horn was crafted into a BONG.
Now we need a sequel movie, THE BONG OF DESTINY!
The movie is definitely a musical. And the devil is Dave Grohl. Front man of Foo Fighters and former drummer of Nirvana.
Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) was the devil in this movie. He’s also the drummer for Tenacious D at some live shows
Dave Grohl (Nirvana)*
@@TML0677 It's him.
@@adameves5970 Dave Grohl was in a large list of bands

Epic rock battle, the lyrics were funny but the rock behind WOOOOAH. The chorus when he raises his finger to the devil beautiful.

The best part of this sequence is that the Devil did win the rock-off and they ended up banishing him to Hell through other means.
If he won then why did a regular guitar reflect lightning? That's the universe saying "these two won, BACK TO HELL YOU GO BITCH!"
eh, the D's song was objectively better, the Devil cheated.
Technically what they played was the greatest song in the world that they couldn’t remember from “tribute”.
This is my favourite Tenacious D song. If Foo Fighters sounded like this I would listen to them
oh lord. everyone loves tongues. they are magical
Thats a Washburn Dimebag (Pantera) sig guitar, but Dean was the main guitar company that made them that Dimebag is mostly known in playing

Yeah, a band WAY before.

The Devil is played by Dave Grohl the frontman to Foo Fighters.
