Sketchy Squirrel thanks Sketchy Squirrel:) Looking forward to seeing more from you. If you ever need to discuss something with a fellow Animator, my door is always open, feel free to give me a shout.
Chaoticon thanks Chaoticon for your nice words. Much appreciated buddy. Once this virus/ lockdown business calms down I will be releasing more videos so keep your eyes peeled. Thanks again👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This was an awesome informative video on how to really get the most out of Fiverr. I'm a singer and have been seriously considering hiring people from Fiverr to help me edit/direct/storyboard/sound engineer a full song and this was some great realistic insights on what to expect, how to source the right person, and that it was even possible at all. So thank you for this video it has given me some good things to ponder.
@@MarkDaviesArt you're very welcome! mine is a gingerbread sculpture and my whole office loved the taste of it 😁 but it's gonna be published on Friday, don't want to interrupt my publishing schedule 😝 not that anybody than me cares but 🤷
Tasty Escapes sounds cool. Best I can do is one of those pre-made ginger bread houses from ikea :) looks like me and my daughter are gonna be learning to make ginger bread sculptures soon :)
I have been seller on fiverr for two years now, the main issue is that client does not comprehend the animation process. Most of the clients are not aware of the characters design, background design and most important The script. They don't have the basic knowledge. I had to cancel many orders because of that particular reason he just give up very basic idea and his or her real photo and ask you to do a 5 mins. Video!!!
In all honesty you will find that a lot with clients in general are the same. They do not understand how time dependant animation is, and also how costly it can be, which in fairness is not there fault, they are not animators so how are they suppose to know. Best to get things clarified and cleared as early as possible before production. I am a huge fan of storyboards and animatics, if you work with a client on a storyboard, you can state how much a project would cost just from a few simple sketches, the client then can say yes, or re- evaluate a production that would still work for their needs but at a cheaper cost. Totally get what your saying though :)
I do except commissions, please feel free to email me at mark@markdaviesart.com with your enquiry, try to give as much information as possible regarding the project. I am fully booked at present but my schedule should begin to relax very soon.
Nathan Eric Dolloso I noticed a lot of youtubers we’re doing these ‘I got a Fiverr artist to complete my project’ videos but not really providing much direction. So not really surprising that the results being delivered were a mixed bag of good and bag. As I work with a lot of freelancers I am used to directing artists and providing detailed information in order for the artist to deliver exactly what you want. So I simply did this to the Fiverr artist and the results were good.
Clèfawn H Hi Clefawn, firstly I’ve just seen a few of your dance videos... wow!! You sure have the moves! Great stuff. Going back to the credit question, I was originally unsure whether or not to do that for protection of the artist as I was unsure how this video would react with others. (I’m kind of new to this youtube video stuff :) However you do have a bloody good point and since the video seems to be attracting attention It would be decent to place their details in the description. I’m in close contact with the artist following this project and will ask them if they want me to do so, If yes then it will be amended ASAP. Thanks for bringing this up Clefawn. Much appreciated 👍🏻
@@MarkDaviesArt Crediting them for there hard work would undoubtedly give the Animator, more work and more customers. Especially If I wanted to choose to hire them myself for my own personal projects. If his or her's work is approved and satisfied by a third party like yourself making the animator more liable and competent. Your basically giving him free sponsorship for his or her's animation. He/She is running a business for his/her services privacy shouldn't be an issue, Marketing should.
Completely agree with what you have said Clefawn. The artist did a great job and should be credited for there efforts. Understand though this is a production break down video and shows me evaluating the artists work, even though I was very happy with it. It still required some level of fixing and amending. It’s this that kind of held me back as I didn’t know if this would do good or harm to the artists reputation. I’m not entirely convinced I would be happy if someone was to publicly evaluate a work in progress that I have done and then published it online. However I have contacted the artist and they are happy to have there details in the description. This has been amended and you will find links to their Instagram and ArtStation account as provided by the artist. Once again Clefawn I really do appreciate you highlighting this error. All the best :)
One thing that drives me crazy was animators would copy scenes from animation books (how to animate books) and then claim them as their own. Now yes they technically drew the animation BUT they had not animated anything, it’s a copy!! So chances are when you actually hire them they would be delivering poor animation and you’d be thinking... how are they so bad when their show pieces were so good. Thankfully I’ve seen and own hundreds of these animation books so I recognise these scenes.
@@MarkDaviesArt it's very sad seeing plagiarism and deceit in all areas of art. There's a fine line between copying and using something as inspiration... Maybe it's something you could look at in the future 😉
I think you will find this only features two short clips of a previous Jazza episode and a spoof Jazza intro animation, the rest focuses on the fiverr project. The reason why it is Jazza themed was that this film was an entry to the Jazza 2020 film competition, I thought I covered this in the film description. However sorry that this was not your cup of tea!
I love your submission. Thanks also for your kind encouragement. I'm always learning from amazing animators like yourself. Subscribed.

Really enjoyed this video. Great quality glad I stumbled upon it
HyperboltEDM thanks for the nice comment, glad you liked it :) Aiming to upload more closely looking at specific stages of animation production.
Really cool video and a great insight into how to approach an animation!
Tasty Escapes thanks tasty escapes :) looking forward to seeing yours. I want to get my cake baking skills up and running

Love it, it turned out great 😁 I am curious though what monstrosities those dodgy artists wouldve come up with
