@StevenSmith-nq5xe My goodness, thank you. I try to create a feeling, in conjunction with the music to make the videos more interesting. Thanks for watching!
Well thanks! I time it and do a single walk through, then do the video in one take. I just use my cellphone now, my sony cam went up a couple years ago. I've done a few of these "tour" videos, mostly with jazzy 20s music, there is something different in the room in each video. Thanks again!
Thank you for your kind words. I enjoy my music room and I'm happy to share it so others can enjoy and learn about the phonographs. Thanks for watching!!
Cheers, Charles! You certainly have a beautiful, small museum dedicated to antique phonographs. I saw a few that I own in there. The accessories and wall art are very special as well. Then you have the libations to go along with your beautifully maintained talking machines as a kind of olive in your martini to top it off. I really enjoyed hearing Deep Purple as you filmed the room. This is my favorite video of yours to date. Well done, sir! 😻
@@audiophileman7047 Wow, thank you so much. I try to keep the lounge in a constant state of readiness, you never know who'll stop by or what drink they may order. This record is a bit later than I usually post but it's quite special, and the 12" let's me take a longer look around. A few more pieces sheet music to be framed yet. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I really appreciate the kind words. Cheers!
I only just recently heard of the group, actually. I've never heard anything they recorded. I have fox trot versions of this song as well but I'm only familiar with this version and the 20s dance version. Whiteman's arrangements are always quite special. Thanks for watching!
@@charlescalvert8647 I adore Bing Crosby's version and had no idea there are so many versions The trombones are so fruity on this one And there is something to be said for getting the vocals out of the way
@@LeandroSchiel93 I only recently heard that, I'm not familiar with the band Deep Purple but I've loved this Whiteman's recording for decades, buying every copy I found. Thanks for watching!
Oh...what Paul Whiteman, the big man himself, the King Of Jazz, could do to a tune...😚 His is my favourite instrumental version...my ultimate favourite take of Deep Purple is done by Bebe Daniels.😌 Well, mister Calvert you sure know how to pick 'em...and quite modern for you isn't it?🤔😅 The thirties is my fondest decade.💖
@OLD_SOUL1900 Paul Whiteman always had a modern edge, so the sound wasn't too modern for me, its a fantastic arrangement. I also needed the extra time from a 12' record to do my tour. I have quite a bit of 30s jazz, but rarely post anything from that period. Well I'm thrilled you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
@charlescalvert8647 I see.😌 A fine choice to show your fine collection...your musical lounge room is ever so charming.😊 Well in any case, Paul Whiteman's one of the greatest. My thanks!💖 Oh! Do play some '30s Jazz! For me? {Flapper twang}Will ya, huh?🤗
The rare vintage music site where the visual is as elegant and transportive as the music. Thank you.

Thank you for this charming travelling !
Thank you!
I wanted something a bit different, and a 12" record gave it a more relaxing feel to the video.
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely glorious! Perfect.
@HarryCrane-vf8sg Many thanks, I appreciate that, and thanks for watching.
so beautiful. really nice collection
@daviddisandro821 Thank you so much. I glad you enjoyed the music and tour.

What a delightful piece.
Paul Whiteman's arrangements are always great, so glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
AWESOME 🎵🎶
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the tour and music.
Your cinematographer is excellent
Just recently understanding how magical
this somewhat lost artform is

古い物が大好きな私にとってこの部屋は天国です👍

Am sure you know the rock music group is named after this song
Their grandmothers favorite song
I prefer it to any of their songs with full respect

@Luckyhotsummer Oh I agree. Something like this, especially Whiteman's iconic arrangement vocals would be an unpleasant distraction.
😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
The band Deep Purple took his name from this song.
Because the grandmother of one of the members liked this song.

@@charlescalvert8647 Thank you Mr Calvert.
The Paul Whiteman's Orchestra and Duke Ellington, in muy opinion are the best of jazz music.
