This would look real good with some lights inside it, way better than a pumpkin. I've never seen a better deathstar before. Simply amazing. The Emperor is very pleased with your work, and wishes to reward you with a wookie bride.

Tell you what I like about your videos...no talk, just great ideas, turning practices that teach, and or course great workmanship. (From a 60something) woodshop teacher )

There is something extra beautiful about the wood grain found in burls. The swoops and swirls add such interest to a simple shape - as does that surprise void in the centre. Beautiful work!

😍Oh dear me, that is awesome, the grain is just beautiful, you've saved a huge chunk of decaying wood and turned it into a wonderful piece of art. It's lovely to see the grain 'pop' when you put the finish on it, I could NEVER part with any of the things you make ! How do you decide which piece goes and which stays ? Andy Thanks again for putting these truly stunning, inspirational videos up. I've been having a very lazy 'Watching Andy Phillip day' and loved every minute of it ! Thanks 😊🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💖

Put a little candle in the middle, fill it with rose leafs etc. and lite the candle, put the top on it and place it in a room: them smell of wood and the rose leafs will fill the room trough the natural occuring holes in the bole. Or just candle for some beautiful light and shadows. That gives a nive atmosphere to any room. I love this piece!

Unfreekingly gorgeous!! When it looks like it might be a lemon, turn it into a crown jewel. Again, huge , huge huge congratulations it is marvelous.

My son has been trying to talk me into doing this as you make it so easy, but even if I could afford the equipment I don't have the artistic eye to make art as this is what you make. I could watch your videos for hours as they are relaxing. I know what you create is not as easy as you make it looks, a lot of time, practice, training, and art goes into what you make. I wish I could afford some of your pieces, truly beautiful pieces Andy.

You certainly created something very nice Andy. For a moment when I saw you probing inside I was beginning to think “change of direction coming up”, but no, you kept at it & the finished product is awesome (I don’t use that word often). Great colour, character & final finish. Fab piece of turning. Well done & thanks for sharing.
