Crashing at the Brompton World Championships 2024 | Via Atelier Crit Racing

Im completely new to the world of Bromptons but i cant tell you how much i enjoyed the vibe and enthusiasm of the Brompton community. It was honestly such a laugh. To be clear the races were 10 mins and then 5 laps... My crash was entirely my own fault and after being told all the time to pedal through corners to keep speed in my first ever crit race i thought i would put some power down only to realise that you have to know your crank clearance pretty well. Totally my fault and a big thank you to Brompton for inviting me along and getting me involved in this because it was a proper laugh. There is space for all sorts of riders in the cycling world and its good to see Brompton is championing its users so passionately. Its the only mass produced bike in the UK.

You overtook me (No 32!) I ran to a red saddle and it was the wrong bike! Clipless pedals give a bit more clearance. Well done

Looked like a great time! Crash notwithstanding. Another benefit of the SPD pedals - more clearance! :D I'm a bit out of practice now, but I had my unfold at around 10 seconds. Never rode a BWC, but would love to one day.
