Great post Stas , well done for the interviews , nice to see and hear other riders perspectives, and also what they're wearing. Looks like you had fun. Did the kilt slow you down when it caught the wind :)
Thanks a lot for your kind words :) It was a great fun indeed, both the race itself and all the vibe and acitivities around it! Regarding the kilt - I was surprised how comfortable it is as a part of cycling kit, as it can be combined with regular cycling shorts seamlessly! It is indeed probably not the most aerodynamic piece, but given that I am overall as aero as a brick - I guess it didn't hurt all that much :)
Just completed the first 16km in my recently purchased Brompton following a few years of protracted recovery from injury . I feel as though I have entered another world of cycling and your videos are helping me expand on the enjoyment. Thank you and well done 👍
Thanks a lot for sharing, very happy that my videos were helpful :) Regarding the world of cycling - 100% with you, didn't really realise it exists until I started cycling myself few years ago and now it is probably one of my favourite things to do! Wish you all the best with your cycling adventures!
This video of yours is exceptionally well made considering all aspects I can think of. Really, really well done! It is great fun watching it. Thank you very much, Stas.
Hi Stas it was a great day well done Brompton. You can see me running to the wrong bike after the sprint ooops. Really hoping they run it again next year and I will put a flagpole on my ride!
Thanks for your comment, Jamie :) To be honest, that was my biggest fear as well, literally just to grab a wrong bike in the heat of the moment or see my belowed P-line cruising away with smbd else :) Falgpole is a actually a very nice idea!
Hi Stas, It looks like it was a fabulous day. I really liked the competitor perspective. I've only had my Brompton for about a month, but I'm really enjoying it. Yes freedom indeed.
Indeed, it was a really fun experience, enjoyed it a lot! And regarding the freedom - this point also resonated so much with me, it's probably true for any bike, but specifically true for foldable bikes and Bromotons. Since you can bring the bike anywhere and explore - the world is your oyster :)
Hi Stas, a great day and lovely to meet you ( sorry for getting your name wrong 😮 ) The video is great, I'm going to be forwarding it to friends and family 👍
) Welcome to Moscow, someday! )
Hi David, I don’t think they were published tbh. There is a wiki article about BWC, giving the list of winners, but only until 2016 - en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brompton_World_Championship
As a Heavy Dane (Not a Great Dane!) I would have profited from the hill, as I would have had an extra fast start by that, but sadly I didn't see this Event advertised in Denmark??? Why not? We are rather famous when it comes to cycling! Finn. Denmark
Алексей, привет. Думаю миль 25-30 в час, на маршруте было много достаточно крутых поворотов и не было длинных прямых сегментов , так что вряд ли много людей разгонялись сильно быстрее.
It is like an Old-timer Le-Mans Start, where the Drivers had to run to their cars, start and then drive on! I would have loved to Participate on my now - much less than a former 2019 SuperlightM6LXBrompton (below 9 kilo with mudguards, as a Dane!) but my dear Wife has forbidden me to ride in "Areas hit by Obvious Insanity!", and which are riding left, as also our many times visited, Premium, Vacation Place on Malta! So I sadly never managed to ride it on Malta also 🥲! I would most likely have been killed by that? Finn. Denmark
Was great meeting you. See you next year for sure. *goes off to start training* 💪🏾
Likewise, great to meet you in person and thanks a lot for the interview :) Hope to see you again during forthcoming Brompton events ))
