The Conor-Nate Diaz fights were a perfect example of story telling. Nate called out Conor and gave a why, it got people interested. No titles, no contendership he felt McGregor had stolen the limelight by using his tricks. Then by a stroke of fate Dos Anjos breaks his foot and Diaz gets the fight. Diaz wins and Conor calls him out for the rematch, again giving the reason why. Chael has a valid point here. The fights you take in your career are just fights but the order, location, or reason give your career a story. The promoter needs a good reason to make the fight so they can promote it. The story behind it generates money and the result is what side history will favor. “Winners write the history books”
