    The first two days of orders after the release did not get a 'baggie' with their S125 package, because i hadn't thought of making that baggie yet. If you are one of them please drop me an email with your next order, whatever it is, and i will drop a baggie in your envelope. You guys are my most valuable customers, but i simply hadn't come up with the idea yet. But you know if u drop me an email i will take care of you.

  • @Henry-xh8ec

    Hey Victor.
    Good explanation.
    Do you ever use a plastic bead between the float and upper bobber stop?
    That's usually how i do mine.
    I have also used the silicone bobber stop on top too. I use the smallest size i can find. It works okay but is a little rougher on the guides.
    Maybe you said it but i didn't hear it in this video, make sure your rod has bigger guides so the bobber stop can go through them easily. I know you have mentioned it in other videos.
    The daiwa presso US version comes to mind with its large minimalist guides.
    Not sure if you mentioned it but another point with the silicone bobber stop under the float is that it can help save your float if you break off. The stopper can help keep the float from sliding right off the line.

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  2 місяці тому

      I agree on all points exactly.
      Yes, u can use a small silicone stopper on top, but that damn thing is so GRIPPY that it BITES the guides on contact and is hard to cast. Braid goes through guides much easier... somehow slides better on contact.
      There is ZERO need for beads with my floats though, ZERO. But i know what u mean. The other slip floats leave a HUGE hole in the middle, to reduce resistance, and then you need beads, or the knot will go through..
      And yes, u right, i didn't bring up the size of the guides here because video too long and i brought it up many times before..

  • @22lbsboost
    @22lbsboost 14 днів тому

    If you are using that rubber stopper below the float do you not use a leader? Also, you should add extra tubing to the site if possible! Used the BG-1 and fixed floats for the first time today, it was incredible. Can't wait to buy more!

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  14 днів тому +1

      I always use leader. Watch the fixed float video if u want to see how i rig those.

    As always, great informative video.
    Take care!

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  2 місяці тому +1

      because it is so soft it is very GRIPPY to GUIDES. Braid knots slide through guides very easy. Get a piece of soft silicone and push it against metal. It will NOT slide, because it holds so strong.

    Hey vic, need some info on that micro snap. I’ve used a couple different ones for fly fishing but yours looks a bit more unique. Got a link?

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  2 місяці тому

      yes, link in description, you will find it. The one in this video can only be purchased when you buy jigs though. When you buy jigs, chose WITH CLIPS. You can purchase another one separately, but not the one in this video.
      I designed my own clip that is matte black, which i like, and does not have any wire sticking out. Everything is superior, but is extremely difficult to install, so i don't sell it separately, to frustrate people..

    Hello victor, I have been binge watching your videos like a madman these 2 past days and have watched all of the reel and rod recommendations as well as rod reviews pertaining to those recommendations.
    All of this information is confusing me and my decision to pick a rod. The type of fishing I will be doing is from a kayak floating around the river or lake with the occasional dock fishing. I plan on targeting bluegill, crappie, small mouth bass of about 2 pounds max and the occasional largemouth. What would recommend as a fun rod that would have me fighting the fish like a marlin? I am leaning right now towards the presso air XULT and the Soare in 6’0”.
    What do you think or recommend?
    Your knowledge is very valuable and I have been enjoying all the videos I have been binging. And this is also a way for me to engage and get your algorithm going since I know it well help grow your channel. Thank you in advance.

      @ifishcatfish  2 місяці тому +1

      If this is your budget, the Presso AIR AGS XUL will make you smile on every bluegill you catch. To be honest these rods are so good that you should buy both the XUL and the L. The L has just a little more power if u target crappie and bass instead of bluegill. The PRESSO AIR AGS rods are superior to soare XR

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  2 місяці тому

      the plastics have about neutral buoyancy and you should disregard them. Even if they float a little, you would not notice such small difference. At least when we talk about ultralight baits : ). Don't have no 3" baits under the float..
