Hiking 260km on The Five Mountains Trail E4 in Bulgaria

- The year of 2020 was not a regular travel year, however with an adventurous mindset, it was still possible to go out there and explore.
One of the adventures that caught my eye was the E4 trail in the Bulgarian mountains (also known as The Five mountains trail), which is a 260km trail crossing through 5 different mountains, and a part of the E4 Trans European hiking trail.
Grab a snack and a cup of tea, and let me take you along this 10-day hiking journey.

Годината 2020-та не бе обикновена година за пътуване, но с приключенски дух, се намират решения за опознаване на света.
Едно от тези приключения което ми грабна окото бе маршрутът Е4, наричан още Петте планини, които е 260км маршрут прекосявайки пет български планини (Витоша, Верила, Рила, Пирин и Славянка).
Това видео разказва преживяването от 10-дневното изживяване на похода Е4.

My ancestors came to the USA from Eastern Europe roughly 110 to 130 years ago.
I did not know that my ancestral homelands held such beauty.
Truly this was a beautiful trek.
Perhaps, some day, I could hike there, if I can first find the Fountain of Youth.

Посетите Велико Тырново, Рилский монастырь, и сами горы Родопы. Сам не смог, был проездом, но горы вокруг старой столицы Болгарии очаровали.
" Не выходи из комнаты, не совершай ошибку, зачем тебе солнце, если ты куришь "Шипку"..." ( это из Бродского ). А "Шипка" и "Родопи" - марки болгарских сигарет ( к слову, сам не курю - пусть моё здоровье заберут горы. )
Aaaaahhhh....Bulgaria is such a beautiful country! The landscape is so diverse with mountainous peeks, deep valleys, lakes and plateaus. It reminds me of Patagonia, except for the huts though. What a beautiful and inspiring hike. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Much respect!
