Seeing you guys at the parade, the no lines, the opportunity to try food im not interested enough to pay for the first time. tasted some new favorites. was a blast. the temperature in NOV was perfect too. Also dont forget to factor in the HOTEL discount (up to 40%)
My favorite part of the meet up is the next to no wait times and being able to stay seated in a ride if there’s no one else waiting to ride in your row
Another added bonus is the fact that you get to spend so much time in the parks after dark. Highlights so many things. The lighted areas are brighter and more beautiful, and the jungley areas feel more jungley. All senses seem heightened. Or maybe it's just me lol
With the OIM hotel discounts it is even more worth it for those of us who have to travel far to go. And if we need to rent a car we use the OIM parking discount at the hotels. And grabbing snacks and drinks to go at the end of the meetup lol. That alone saves hundreds.
We completely agree! The OI meetups are especially one of our favorite ways to bring newbies to the park, for their first visit. Will you be at the meetup in June?
AAAAAND...you can get everything done with fewer nights in Orlando, so you save on hotels! After doing one night of mini meetup, I have decided that next time I go, I will be a 4 night stay instead of 5. Arrival night, one day to just wander and see what's new to the park, and the meetup nights to do the heavy hitters and eat all the food! I will also stay at a less expensive hotel, because I won't need the free express passes from premier hotels (will need boat access though...thats a must)!
We totally agree 👍👍. Feel proud to have seen you all in the line to Register and we had just as good as a time as you had. Thank You for the Vlog 👏👏❤️❤️😊
Ahhh you should’ve stopped us! We would have loved to chat with you! We are glad to hear you had a great time! What was your favorite experience of this meetup?
You're right, OI Meetup is not 11 hours. If you get into the parks as soon as you are allowed (5pm) and leave when the meetup is over you will be in the parks for roughly 8 hours. We agree, there are certainly things you cannot account for. Can we quantify the value of 11 hours of unlimited express pass? No, it's too multi variable, but the incredibly low crowds at the meetup make almost everything a walk on
I found i was able to ride everything, some multiple times, see shows and eat , with less hassle, crowds etc in one night of OI than my average full day in the parks (i go 2-3 times a year for multiple days). FOR ME, it was definitely worth it and if you are only going one or two days any this may be your only trip for some time, i feel it is totally worth it. I have friends whom i recommended this to, as its their only trip for the next 5 years, only had 2.5 days and felt this was the best way to experience both parks . Your mileage may vary depending on your goals of course.
I do at least 4 OI meetups a year. This is year 4 and I just came home from June’s. Did Feb Mardi Gras, too. They are worth every single penny. I’m a local AP holder as well and in the parks about once a week. OI is the only way to do Universal 😊
@@fudge_factor it was very nice not having to deal with the summer Saharan sun for sure. Very relaxing. The holiday OI are my favorites of course but I will certainly do the summer again. Eating Florian ice cream seated in nocturne alley watching people stroll by? Perfection.
This was an awesome video guys! First it was cool to see Aubree's parents joining in on the fun. We did these same comparisons after the mini meet up compared to our Premier passes.
For us being local the annual pass is the better value for us. The meet up was fun but we would not pay for both the meet up and the premier pass. The meet up is a great value for someone visiting the park for a couple days though. In the future, if we decide not have passes then we would definitely do the meetups.
@@fudge_factor yes that was super cuter. Little happy dance. Yep I’m still working on those dates but I’m hoping I can make it out for one next year. I have to make it out before epic opens right?
Totally worth it! I think it’s great for us out of state Universal lovers! I feel like I’m getting two extra days added on to my trip! I’m eating everything! Is mom and dad Universal fans now?
@fudge_factor I stayed at cabana bay. This last oi was my first time ever at universal. Our first stop was to try that cheesecake that Aub obsessed over. Very tasty too!
@fudge_factor trying the food.. well, some of it like 3 broomstick and cafe la Bamba. Trying all the Harry Potter drinks and ice cream. I thought I'd hate them, but they were delicious! Riding river adventure has been a goal since I was a scared kid, so that was a dream fulfilled. Hagrids beautiful line, looking at and wandering the castle!! Seeing the areas you and Pugh Two pointed out in your videos - like your must try foods! Walking through the Diagon Alley for the first time and hearing the bricks move! What's your favorite thing to do there? It's probably impossible to choose just one
I'm sure it could! That's another cost to consider! We didn't for this video just because not everyone drives. That is certainly a great point though! 30 dollars is not chump change!
@@fudge_factor I wanna know how u make ur chest look so big! Are u more into lighter weight higher reps? Or heavy weight less rep are u more into cables or free weights? How slow do u go on the reps cause I could tell just in the video u have a really solid chest and that it simply looks like u workout I need the chest day routine!!!
All of the above lol. I’ll go through phases of heavy focusing on weight and the 1-3 rep range and I’ll go through phases of 8-12 rep ranges. If I’m going heavy I’m focusing more on pressing than I am flys or cable based movements, but I like to bench sooooo. If I’m working a higher rep phase I’ll do more flys to get more a stretch out of the muscle
@@fudge_factor I appreciate yuh bro!!!! That’s the first thang I noticed when u started talking in the video I’ve been at the gym since before Covid my max rn is 305 but my chest definitely doesn’t pop like that when I’m wearing a shirt lmaooo how steady have you been active with the gym?
I think that could be fair, but a bit speculative also. Totally agree from the purely economic standpoint. We by no means are hunting ‘value’ when things are “free”
Correct they are adding in eating for two people with one ticket price. That doesnt math. Being a FL resident, OI really doesnt add up anymore when we have UOAPs and can drive over whenever.
We tried to keep it to things that just Aubree took. Was there cross over in terms of us sharing food, of course. Ben also might have talked about certain items due in order to avoid Aub constantly being on screen. We can absolutely see how it appears to be the case though, and that’s a fair criticism and a point we will fix with future videos! Thank you so much for the comment! We appreciate the feedback! We also agree that as a local OIs tend to not make as much sense due to the ability to make it to the park more often!
What are you favorite things about the Orlando Informer Meetup? 🤩🤔💭
yet to go to an informer meet up!
Do you hope to sometime?

Ride now, walking in to restaurants, getting food and not paying for it 🍻

That’s a great point! The parks truly come alive at night!
Agreed
@noahman1234 did you go to the winter meetup?
This is the best part. Food and beverage cool, no lines priceless.

That’s true!! Meetups are so great! Are you going to the meetup in June?
The price is well worth what you get. Free food, with the least crowded park you'll ever get.

Right? We agree with that strategy! No sense in splurging on a premier when you have the meetup! Thats plenty of express pass!
I just love that Mom was ready for the thrill rides and eating all of the food! Living her best life!
Haha her happy dance prior to the hulk made us chuckle!

how do you account for the express pass plus admission gets you 11 hours of park admission... the orlando meetup isn't 11 hours, is it?

Of course! People's goals and wants will certainly play a factor on how they approach the parks and what they want to get done for the day/night!
You certainly can get a lot done in the OI timeline

That makes total sense! Very logical approach being locals!
Shouldn’t you add another express pass ticket on there since it’s a two night meet up?
We are comparing the 2 night meetup to 1 day of general park admission so it would only be 1 day of unlimited express pass
Awesome That the Parents were able to go!!
It was such a fun time! They got spoiled for their first time at Universal!
Is the grinch availabe on the informer nights?
He is! He was out by Circus McGurkus this year! Wayyyy less than the normal daytime wait to see him!
Were the games free? Like the basketball one you played??
Yes!! A lot of games are free! You just can’t win prizes with them!

Welp, I’m sold and will definitely do this as a birthday gift to myself in 2024!
Such a fun time!! They have them in February, June, November, and December this year!
The question is do you think the margin that Orlando informer is making per person is fair
I wouldn’t have any idea what the margin per person is to give an accurate assessment 🤷🏻♂️
Oi also offers a discount to stay at resorts for up to 30% off I believe.
They do! That's a great point that we didn't even touch on! Where do you like to stay with the meetups?

does parking count its like $30

Is parking free for oi
No, it is not. It’s the standard 30 dollars per car but is free after 6 pm
Can wo go on the rides with OI pass before parks closes ?
100%. You can get into the parks at 5 and then it’s time to start having fun!
The "meet-ups" have become too successful! Way too many people! We still go, primarily to enjoy the parks after dark.
They have gotten more popular! And like you said, it’s a good problem to have if you’re Orlando Informer! They are still fun events!
The free turkey legs alone will add up fast
Haha very true! Are the turkey legs your guilty pleasure at the meetups?
buffalo totssss! i concur!
Buffalo tots and the carnitas tots are AMAZING!
