@David McCormick I'm avoiding videos that were made by that Jared guy. I would have no idea who he is... but people keep mentioning him for some reason.
@@PrinceMarcusWilliam He's just some YT/Online personality that turned out to be a dick and was cheating on his wife or something. Idk what the jokes are about. but Dave cheating on Joe with Jared seems like a funny thought.
Hell, even a life size cutout of him would satisfy me already, i dont know what it is, but seeing the videos without Dave gives me a totally different feeling.
Sega did not have any faith in this project at all. The game was funded fully by the creators and when they asked for a marketing budget to promote it, Sega gave them (no joke) $200. Though it did get a special edition, Sega wanted nothing to do with it.
@@jordanambrose4459 tbh I don't even know if I'd consider that an awful use of the money if he's into luchadors or something. I say this simply because you can do essentially nothing with a marketing budget of $200 anyway
They're my favorite UA-cam channel too, but I don't think they deserve a million subscribers. Not with the way Joe publicly executed his best friend. Still not sure why he's not in prison.
I've done LSD. It's impossible to emulate it. But that Dream Emulator would be fun to watch while on it. Joe, just wanted to say that I'm glad you're still going. When that Game Sack notification popped up, I didn't think, "Oh, Joe and Dave", I thought, "Yes! A new Game Sack!" You've established the brand, and that's what I'm in for. Your editing is the biggest influence on my own, and let's face it, is the archetype for how I set up my own videos. Using a different clip for each sentence of the script? I learned that from you, buddy. If I can get my audio as good as yours, I'm gold! Anyway, thanks for the great videos and inspiration. Keep going, man!
22:16 'Final Pharmacy VIII' is the canon sequel to FFVII where you build the best pharmacy to save Aerith. Sadly as always SEGA didn't bother to localise it outside of Japan.
Wow, that's nuts. I have that Fantastic Pinball game for the Japanese Saturn. Had no idea that it was suddenly worth some bucks. I bought it in a lot of Japanese Saturn games for next to nothing.
Segagaga had a fan translation in the works but due to lack of interest and the amount of work it was abandoned. I really really want a team of guys to try again. I think we might care more now these days.
Man...it's now 2021, I'm in my '30s, and it's STILL tough to watch the Sega systems shmup section of Segagaga without getting emotional 😢 damn you Justice Ray Part 3!
Another great episode. Getting a translated version of segagaga is a lifelong dream of mine. My weepy moment is when that beautiful tower of power takes shape and Golden Axe characters come flying out. Thanks, Joe! P.S. Calling Olivert "Chester from Ys 3" broke my heart a little bit...
You're doing an awesome job Joe. Most channels I see that have a host leave normally just instantly start losing viewers, but you're keeping the channel as strong as ever!
I amazed that there hasn't been some kind of team translation effort for Segagaga along the lines of, say, Mother 3. It seems like the perfect example of a cult classic.
Greetings: Segagaga is been translated by fans. A group of translators and fans of the game are working on it a few years ago. Stage of completion is way far at this point. Still, they have around 30% of the game ready. Don’t remember the website. Look for it.
This reminds me of the movie, "Stuck On You"... particularly after the Siamese twins were separated. The scene that comes to mind, is where one of the brothers begins attaching himself to a bronze statue sitting on a bench during lunchtime to suppress his longing for his twin compounded by loneliness.
Front Mission Alternative for the PSX was left in Japan, all the weapon names including secondary weapons are named after the male appendage. Hilarious considering the serious theme of the actual game....which is in fact absolutely amazing.
a big thank you for getting me into the Ys series, id played a little of one of the games but then the sack highlighted the series and i fell in love...now i REALLY wanna play that VS game. ;)
Did you know that the Thunder Force styled final level in Segagaga actually uses the remaining assets & engine of a cancelled Dreamcast iteration of Thunder Force 6? We wouldn't even get Thunder Force 6 until 2008 as a Japanese exclusive for the PS2. I just find that really interesting.
If this GS episode convinces someone to start translating SegaGaGa, this will have cemented itself- firmly- as the greatest videogame related thing EVER. Already GameSack is the best game fan type recurring series on YT.
With all the Japanese games you play, I'm surprised you haven't invested in some Japanese language text books and a tutor. I immediately downloaded the soundtrack to Ys Vs Sora no Kiseki after watching this, it's AWESOME!
Joe, please cover Kyoro-chan no Purikura Daisakusen on PS1, never came out anywhere but Japan its a really neat game and I own it and love it. It costs bout 50 dollars today and going up all the time and is rare. Credit goes to Jimmy Lynn Sanchez from the Sony PlayStation 1 Sanctuary Museum in Willow Grove, PA for that awesome gem.
You guys did an episode about the xbox in 2016 when the console had 15 years since launch. So it's time for a xbox 360 episode, since the 360 this year completes 14 since it's launch
God it feels so weird not hearing Dave talk about every sequential game but regardless! This was really fun, always loved your Left in Japan series of Videos and this was no exception
This is still one of my favorite series of Game Sack videos. I'd love to see some Megami Tensei titles get included here, as tons of those have never been localized. I recommend Shin Megami Tensei: if... since that got a fan translation just last year.
Soma Bringer is a title that made me laugh first hearing it. Every other time I've heard "soma" in my life until now it was in the context of muscle relaxer drugs professional wrestlers used to frequently abuse.
RPG's that arent square enix games don't get translated, theirs loads of cool rpg's like that have been sitting their for years, never going to happen.
The Thunder Force homage in SGGG was actually based off the engine for a scrapped Thunder Force 6 on the Dreamcast (the soundtrack of which eventually got released as Broken Thunder)!
Heya, I’m from the Osamu Sato Discord server and after seeing LSD Dream Emulator(from this video), I’d say Sato has also created other “left in Japan “ games for Asmik Ace and Play Station 1, including Tokyo Wakusei Planetokio (a comical adventure/ Role playing game) and Rhythm N Face (which is a face painting rhythm game).
i have been out for a couple of months and just realized Dave is missing. it's a great loss for the show, but i'm pretty sure it will continue to be as great as ever, and i'm planning to support it as always!
Lol I gotta admit, I was straight up nerding out during that Transforming Genesis/Sega CD/32X bit. Segagaga looks freaking amazing & I really wish a fan would translate it one day!
Thanks Joe for continuing the uploads appreciate it..
@David McCormick Well, in that case, Joe can leave instead of Dave.
@David McCormick I'm avoiding videos that were made by that Jared guy. I would have no idea who he is... but people keep mentioning him for some reason.

Joe rulez
I used a "z" because he's from the street, yo.
Everytime a new Gamesack video pops up in my subscription list, I'm happy to know that Joe didn't give up on it.
Awesome episode there.
MegaManNeo Same!
Likewise.
Thanks Joe. I miss Dave but you are still a solid solo act.
Joe you are killing it by yourself these type of episodes were not meant for dave just my opinion great job
Joe is Game Sack.
Jesse N What happen to that guy?
where is dave? pregnant?
ive only watched old episodes, what happened?
Can't wait for *Final Pharmacy VII remake* !
David Baca pharmacy ??? 😂 lol
Jay t watch the video
Hell the Final Pharmacy VII remake might actually get released before that other remake I keep hearing about.
I just want Final Pharmacy VIII ported to modern consoles...
Dara321AAA With Chocobo World as well please.
I think you should have a framed picture of Dave in the background.
Or have a random guy or maybe his wife sit there with a mask of Dave's face on and do a Dave imitation.
Agree!
Hell, even a life size cutout of him would satisfy me already, i dont know what it is, but seeing the videos without Dave gives me a totally different feeling.
Oh I would LOVE to play Segagaga! That looks INSANE!!!! WHY SEGA??? WHY DID YOU NOT GIVE US THIS GAME?
Some please translate Segagaga to English
Sega did not have any faith in this project at all. The game was funded fully by the creators and when they asked for a marketing budget to promote it, Sega gave them (no joke) $200. Though it did get a special edition, Sega wanted nothing to do with it.
I wonder if Sega was to humble to get behind a game celebrating their brand. Perhaps the game was just made when they were in a bad state of mind.
@@CrossoverGameReviews didn't the creator also spend a lot of that money on a luchador mask?

They're my favorite UA-cam channel too, but I don't think they deserve a million subscribers. Not with the way Joe publicly executed his best friend. Still not sure why he's not in prison.

I really really want a team of guys to try again. I think we might care more now these days.
Maybe they can do a Patreon. I'd support it. Better than supporting the actual Sega.
Aw yeah! Time for some 2AM Sack before E3!
Opening theme makes my heart warm. Thanks so much Joe, each and every episode gets me in a great mood
Bout time for another episode of LIJ I think!

this says SOOSU ソース, or "sauce."
Sega, please release Sauce one day.

that Segagaga footage is a thing of beauty - I would love to play a translation so bad!
Thanks Joe! I’ll always watch and like as long as you make these!
On second thought: DO NOT.
The show is downgraded in quality now.
Soma Bringer is amazing. I wish they'd do a sequel on the Switch.
Their new IP might be a spiritual successor since it is an action RPG with knights, magic, dragons etc..
The Xenoblades don't count?

Early Sack Squad reporting in! I stayed up til 2 am waiting for the new upload. Awesome job as always Joe.
I just love this segment, i knew about some of them but Soma Bringer was a nice suprise, thanks Joe!
Thank you, ive literally been fiending for some un-cut GAMESACK!!!!!!!!!!!
