Antea's Ascent should be the Good ending..Period! keeping the philosophy in check..." Life to the living...Death to the Dead"
I got ascended ending and I also believe it´s the only "morally good" ending. We all know that ressurections are not without dangers.
Immediately I remembered "Killer Frequency" game SPOILER! Where everyone was guilty even though you helped them survive the night.
I knew something was off, but passed judgement based on my compass.
true ending sounds ominous. like they're down a potentially bad path in the future
That is exactly what happens. In the end you see Antea blaming someone for that sweet life essence, power. So i dont get how people think that this is a true ending. There is no true ending. There is Morally right one (ascend) and amoral ending.(resurrect). Thats it.
Got bad one. But I'm fine with it. I blamed those who were worthy of blame. So if for that I get bad ending - fine.
So if you promised to bring her back but don't blame (kill) everyone you find... She doesn't come back (honestly that's a cruel ending shiet)
But if you blame everyone she does come back
But what if you promise to not bring her back (ascend) but still blame(kill) everyone you find?
What happens then?
You get the bad ending
If you promise to ascend her, she goes passes on and Red lives on in shame due to having to kill people which is what Antea didn't want in the first place.
@@GamersPrey Not true at all. I did exactly what the OP said, and I got the ending where she does ascend, but she does not hugs and cries in the arms of Red. She just goes and that is all. Then you got a cinematic, saying that Red never recovered from losing her, that maybe some day, he'll go to Cuba and announce to the family of Anthea that she died. An ending that you didn't shown in this video.
So there are 4 endings then,
1) resurrected (best? imo, got my loved one back)
2) failed (the one I got, was morally strict and blamed only who deserved, guess that wasn't enough)
3) ascent 1(the one in the video, they kiss and bye bye)
4) ascent 2(the one @Ico_ said, no kiss, just bye bye)
@@RenishSiyodia Yup. You summed it up pretty well
Without a doubt, the true ending is the best ending
Was so happy when I got the ending after getting the bad ending, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
@@GamersPreyI did get a bad one for the first time too… 😊 but I was ok with that too… well it is punishment… good one
That ending is also a bad one, basically Antea and Red go on a killing spree cause she still needs that life essence you can see at the end Antea sucking the life essence from someone and Red stopping that guy from getting in her way
So in order to get the true ending, you need to blame everyone and promise antea to get her back?
Yep exactly
alrighty then. @@GamersPrey
No Ascending Antea with no blames is the true ending.
That's the bad ending
@@ricardoalmeida709 This person missed the central theme of the story of getting closure and allowing your loved ones to move on from this world.
I'm hearing so many different endings in this game some are saying 3 others are saying 5 what is it, are some exactly the same but different lines said
Why does the bad ending set you back to the cave asking the seeker who are you?
Because at the very end of the church, you do understant that Deborah tried to set a time-loop.
From what I pieced together - only cause I watched all the endings here on UA-cam because I went the ascension good ending in my play through. Siridean the witch you meet in the middle of the game is actually seeker (grace Pennington), just older. Because she learned to travel the void when they first got to new Eden town she essentially became a time traveler. The nightmare is the wrath of Deborah - person accused of being a witch. The nightmare grew so powerful that it could use the void to seep into the real world which created a time loop in new Eden. That’s why the witch “siridean” tells red things like her name is actually Gaelic. The reason why the ascension ending is the best is because not only is it morally right, but you essentially break the time loop. Freeing everyone from it.
That’s my theory anyway.
When you promise to bring her back and kill not every main and side quest charakter you get the bad ending too. I done 9 side missions and kill everyone + main and kill every one and get the bad ending 😂. (Sorry for my englisch im from germany)
Same 😂 but whatever.
I don’t get the bad ending. Why did it rewind you back to the cave?
Nightmare make him live all the thing you did again and again
@@koca987 That happened to the old lady on shipwreck during haunting on the ship, where she was alive and dead at the same time.
Seeker is Siridean the witch just older. The nightmare grew so powerful it could use the void the create a time loop. Notice in the bad ending the nightmare turns seeker older into Siridean. They are the same person. The nightmare then resets the loop right after Siridean tells red to find her. This is how Siridean knew to tell seeker to find a man nearly dead on a beach etc.
I just wanted a happily ever after ending. 😢 Even when Antea's brought back, it's still bleak. Excellent game though. In the end, I got the ending where Red kept his promise and Antea ascends.
What do you need to do to get the true ending instead of the bad ending?
I ended up "killing" everyone I came across in my ghost haunts.
You don't actually need to kill everyone, which game doesn't tell you. 13 or more is the requirement.
noooooo!!!!!!!!!@@MagnusOgma i killed 20 targets i swore on oath to bring her back i was with her and still i got the bad ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why idk
So to get the ending when red has children and moves on you cant banish anyone? I got the ending were he sailed to cuba, i banished fairfax and pennington becuase they deserved it.
i killed everyone i killed at least 15 targets i swore i will bring her back with the oath to bring her back i killed everyone i was with her and i got the bad ending !!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY IS THE LIFE SO CRUEL WITH ME?!?!?!? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F************* HELLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn't there 4 endings?
The other ending is for her ascending, has one slight dialogue change but same outcome.
Got the bad ending and was very disappointed with the game. Sorry 40 hours wasted. The game itself wasn't that good, but I stayed for the story and was looking for the resurrection ending but instead - nope, you failed, 40 hours wasted, go back in time. Really went from 7/10 to 5/10
Didn't save before the game gives the warning? I saved and then just did two more hauntings then I got the ending I wanted
