I’ve played a lot of games that give you choices and consequences . This game by far stresses me out the fucking most dude . Like you connect to this story and that characters so much and it’s so hard .
About 15hrs in. The game is a solid and sucked me in quick and has kept my attention. Great story!
The writing and acting is fantastic and the game is beautiful. I love it. I hope they do a NG+ update.

@@tomgroot7039 I'm not referring to the voice actress. I'm talking about the writing. Whoever wrote her dialogue hated men and it was obvious to anyone who isn't fully soaked in soy.
@@siisti81 I chose the resurrect Antea ending but by mid-game I couldn't wait to get rid of her, so ascended her instead. It's unfortunate that banishing Antea wasn't an option. The constant commentary from her during fights became incredibly annoying. Not to mention her skewed take on most cases.

I did need a little bit of time away, but, I honestly love it. I love the haunting cases and just the impact you personally have in the game.

Loving it so far.
Sooo many ppl are sleeping on this gem, while it's making me miss sleep. But still such a great game, well polished, works better than most games out there and it's dare I say "FUN" others may compare to the more recent GOW games and that's fair but this game these devs did their own thing supremely well.

Instead of unlimited ammo, they should’ve given us a pump shotgun with a faster reload. I know pumps weren’t invented till the 1900’s but this game involves ghosts, witches, and monsters, which aren’t real either. Like the order 1886 style of combat would’ve been nice

I don't think so. However, I'm not done yet but in my experience after you finish a main chapter in the Chronicles, new ones will pop up in areas where you've already been (Dark Woods etc.) so make sure you always check the complete map. I still have one blank one in Dark Woods and two in Mt Pleasant (haven't been to The Harrows yet).
I finished the game killing every human to resurrect Antea 😅 Don’t judge me. lol when I went back to complete my trophies, I ruined my chance at one cuz I killed him. There’s no spoilers, just explaining where it’s at in the game:
This quest takes place near the end of the game. Hugh is found in The Harrows Hamlet, and this quest will become available after you have cleared the main story in The Harrows section of the map. More specifically, the Bible searching takes place *after* Hugh's Haunting Case quest, so we need to do that first. Speak to Hugh and you should get the Haunting Case: The Schoolteacher, with the quest name "Saints and Sinners."
Now, most achievements in Banishers are not missable. However, while I haven't tested this thoroughly, I believe this Teacher's Pet is a missable achievement. You have to clear the "Saints and Sinners" Haunting Case quest while making sure Hugh stays alive. As most cases are in the game, the Haunting Case quest itself is simple - just follow the quest markers into a new section of The Harrows. Once you get to the decision point, make sure to ascend or banish Marcy, making sure Hugh stays alive.
Once done, rest at a shelter, and the follow-up quest "Bible Studies" for Hugh should be available. He will ask for you to find 5 Bibles and then return to him. If this follow-up quest is unavailable, do other Haunting Cases or quests; eventually, it should show up.
(The trophy pops when you find all 15 Bibles) 🏆
Game was surprisingly enjoyable.
I recommend anyone who's a broke boi to qatch it for sale liek a hawk, it's worth it.
I’m 40 hours in and I’m loving this game. Definitely needs some framerate optimization on PS5 but this game is just so good.
Should have gone with series X. Much smoother.

Also even thought you banish who owns a shop, the shop will always be there with another person owning it, with the exact same items.
Maybe they patched it later but when I had early acesss the shop owners were dead ans the person there was just perma scared or no shop owner at all.

I’m having the most trouble when fighting large groups of specters, and then one of them is a green guy who protects the others, and Antea keeps saying to “shoot the lantern” which feels next to impossible when you’re trying to dodge other attacks, and the green guy protects the others while also sending homing attacks toward you. I’m not sure what I’m missing or not doing…
Oh what I do is I will just lower the melee ones away and then go ghost and then just Dash to the one protecting them it can be a little tough early whenever you don't have as much damage but what you get a little stronger it'll get easier
What I’d really appreciate is a tutorial on how to do the perfect switches. I can’t work out how to use devastating switch for example… I hit three light attacks the switch button (y on Xbox) and nothing happens… Antea appears, but no magic punch. How is this meant to work?
Make sure you have those perks/skill points highlighted. My favorite perfect switch was two light attacks then switch. It’s easy to practice your timing and start nailing it. Another perk was having Antea do a punch without switching after four light attacks and after four heavy attacks.

I am so mad I just finished it 65 hours going for the platinum and I got an ending that makes you start over again, never received the ascend ending or bring her back to life one. Now I'd need to do two more playthroughs. Horrible way to make games.
So in the very beginning after the Jacob the cannibal haunting n u had 2 make a choice I was naive n chose 2 resurrect her.. after reading up on shit I change my mind I wanna ascend her how tf can I do this??? Plz help any1 🙏🏽
You can still ascend her. You don't have to make the right decision every single time you just need to do it majority of the time so you're still good 👍
I bought the game for my Series X and I haven't played it yet. It's been installed for a while now....I'll start playing tonight. Say, do I have to play a guy with a stupid manbun? Please tell me I can ditch that nonsense?
I only played it for the first two weeks that I was out so I don't recall his hairstyle I'm pretty sure you have to play a man bun but I'm not a hundred percent I'm not sure if armor changes that or if there was a haircut place I don't really do haircut and stuff and games generally

3 weeks? It just came out 10 days ago unless you got an early copy. I put them as 40 hours into it since last week and my friend was wondering how I did it. I said I've been playing it for like 3 hours a day off and on. I can't seem to put it down. It's one of the best games I've ever played and it's not perfect but it's original.
Yes I was lucky enough to get a review copy early. Sadly I had to move so I ended up only playing 3 weeks on and off.

I agree with you for the most part. The only thing is the game does have pretty decent build diversity I could have made three more builds if this had a little bit more like traction
The only thing anyone needs to know about this game is this: Do not resurrect her. When you finish the game, you won't want to play again to get the other endings. You'll also want her ascended just to get her away from you. The levels of nagging are off the charts. Ascend that female.

It definitely have some weirdness with the camera. I wasn't nauseated but it was weird for a bit
