When I found your video I was not disappointed despite the fact that you used a different but similar tool. I have now watched several of your videos in the past one hour and I want to say thanks for being detailed but not pedantic.

Yes it does. It must first be a supported trim e.g. EXL. I think there's a menu for doing that on the tool, don't remember but could check. Only thing is my EX trim doesn't support the 2 driver setup.
After looking up how to reprogram key fob,I found your videos. I went ahead and bought me Autel MP808S-TS. I got to program a new key fob for my 2013 Honda Ridgeline so I have 2 now. I have a 2014 Honda Vezel that's located in Guyana,and I have been trying to program the aftermarket key fob I bought but no luck. I was told by a guy over there that it won't work to program that Vezel. Can you share a little if he's right or some tips what I need to do. This Vezel is gas,not electric.

Rookie question, I have a civic 2017 however it is key entry. I am planning to change from key entry to start button , but my question is, can I still program a keyless remote even if I have a key entry?
Even key entry looks to be able to make it works.. you just need to buy a correct fob keyless into aliexpress and ask your honda dealer to program the key. Just open your original key and find the FCCID code writen inside it.. after this you can buy a new keyless into aliexpress.

It should have Driver 1, Driver 2, surely. Is driver 1 stamped on the rear of the fobs? If so, from my understanding, you'll need to buy a driver 2 fob. They have different part numbers even though they are identical.

Then key programming on that particular model may not be supported. I recommend reaching out to Autel support to find out if key programming is supported. From what I can see on the coverage tool, it looks like it's not supported.
Not sure if Autel has rolled out coverage for 2022 Honda. But Honda is one make well covered by this tool. If not available already it should definitely come to the device. Autel's coverage site just lists 2018 and above as supported. Doesn't disaggregate.
Remote start comes factory in supported trims. Once this key is programmed, it will be able to remote start the car as long as the option is not disabled and there's no fault in the car.

Yea. Doesn't work with the LX trims. Not sure about using the remote from 2016. It would depend on the ID. I've also seen videos of people installing remote start on the 2013 - 2015 Accords. Not sure how it's done.
I'm not sure if the car supports remote start. Maybe it does, maybe not. I'm thinking if it did, it probably would have come with a fob with the remote start button. Check in the vehicle settings and see if you can find remote start anywhere.
Thank you for your video. Let me understand, you are copying the existing FOB. I purchased a USED vehicle with one FOB - the seller claims he lost the other FOB. My questio: Can 2 NEW FOB be reprogrammed, so the missing FOB can't be used to operate (steal) my vehicle.

Otofix actually approached me sometime back to do a review, but they wanted to have a say in the final content of the video, so I said no. They weren't too impressed by the 3000 subscribers I had then too. 😂 Remapping is more advanced than ECU coding. Remapping rewrites the ECU software, coding doesn't.
Only had one experience with an aftermarket key fob. This was on a 7th generation Honda. The fob took longer to open/close the car when the buttons were pressed. Didn't like that. Since then, I only do OEM key fobs. Will rather get a used OEM than a new aftermarket. They are probably some good ones, I just don't know.

You hit the nail on the head! Info is sketchy on the Internet. Had a look previously and don't recall finding anything of value. Right now, I only know when I connect to the immobilizer ECU. 😔
Why not show people like ATG & me how to buy a key fob & program the key fob without buying the overprice Autel MP808TS? Bet you get can it without the the OBDII.
This car and many others with smart keys can only be programmed with the appropriate scan tools. The cheapest tool I know that can do this is the XTOOL D7. They may be cheaper ones, but that's the one I've used and can confirm. I also have a video on it. I also have some discount coupons for added discounts.
I agree with you. If all one wants to do is just program the key and not much else, taking it to the dealership will be more cost effective. The tool begins to make sense if you are a heavier user.
Video cuts out to show the part where the machine has to read the PINCODE and this scanner cannot do that so do not buy this scanner if u want it to program keys ... you will have to buy the pin codes from dealers ... 😆 atleast explain that part in the video
Some cars need pin codes. Not Honda. I have never programmed a Honda that needed you to read pin code data. Even Toyota don't require it either. However, Dodge, Nissan, Benz and some others do.

They are definitely worth something. I don't know for the HRV, but used Accord 9th Gen fobs go for usd45 - 60 on Ebay.

Since I haven't personally done this conversion before, I can't say. However, I know people install aftermarket push to start in cars.

I have never come across anything that i saw in your vids, like add key, erase key, all keys lost, never 😭
Then key programming on that particular model may not be supported. I recommend reaching out to Autel support to find out if key programming is supported. From what I can see on the coverage tool, it looks like it's not supported.

This tool won't do those IR keys. I have a different video on those using the XTOOL IK618.

What's your advice on buying a non OEM key fob? I saw some on Amazon looking like the one you have here but no Honda logo on the back.

Dang that tool cost $1000 not including the key fob. Maybe cheaper if u just bring it to the dealership. Not like u need 100 spare key fob.
I agree with you. If all one wants to do is just program the key and not much else, taking it to the dealership will be more cost effective. The tool begins to make sense if you are a heavier user.
Just a thought, could just order to “Test”, if that doesn’t work then “Return”. I didn’t tell you that though. LOL

That's the thing. 300+ would get you a scan tool that can program the 9th Gen Accord.

Video cuts out to show the part where the machine has to read the PINCODE and this scanner cannot do that so do not buy this scanner if u want it to program keys ... you will have to buy the pin codes from dealers ... 😆 atleast explain that part in the video
Some cars need pin codes. Not Honda.
I have never programmed a Honda that needed you to read pin code data. Even Toyota don't require it either. However, Dodge, Nissan, Benz and some others do.
