Awesomeness! and +0- noob questions if that ok: 1) if sdf can have a 'shell' can that shell be used to cull it's unseen/unused internal voxels thereby freeing up memory? 2) would it be possible to extract the cusped edges creating curves and use them for sdf -> nurbs -> poly surfaces? 3) is there a way to catch the edge/surface artefacts via machine learning? thank you!
You try to tackle here some deleticate and ambitious things, quite curious to see your post sharpen and segmentation method ... some impressive attempt in the post fix edge tool! Thanks and bravo Dominik :) Do you know plasticity?
Thank you Vincent! I do know plasticity and love it! Use it every day! Honestly been using that much more than the SDF tool! There are occasional situations where the SDF toolset comes in really handy but you can't deny the clean and fast nature of nurbs modeling in Plasticity!
Because SDFs are voxels their faces all are in a way "mushed together" and thus makes these kinds of things very difficult to near impossible. I did add a new node called convert prims to mesh (I believe it's called) that you could use to attribute transfer an ID over from the original source primitives. But even that is not a great option as the attribute transfer won't leave clean results and straight up won't work in a lot of cases.
Brilliant work, Dominik!
Oh, and if you find the time, a tech tour on how your toolset works under the hood would also be really interesting!
Again, incredible tool! Thank you for sharing this.
Your tools are absolutely amazing! :) Thanks so much for sharing the 3D love Dominik!
Great stuff. Thanks for improving the toolset and explaining how it works!
Awesome work!
Thanks for your work and for continuing to improve your tool!
WOW!
Definetly subscribe! Very cool addons and assets! Thank you!
congrats champion!
awesome tips!
You are my hero

Amazing job! 😮
Not work in Houdini FX commercial? HDA?
Coming soon! I'll let you know!
@@Handcraftedcc Thanks. Excitedly waiting. 😊

Круто! Ждем обновлений.
Can you give an ID to the construction shapes and preserve them on the sdf for panel creation?

Need help.
I'm trying to use SDF, but the geometry is invisible in the Houdini FX 20 viewport.
Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Hey Bjorn!
Thanks for the comment!
Did you follow along the first video? (Linked in description) It shows you how to set everything up!
