If I recall Nova was signed to Island Records I think now is Def Jam , she was in contract & had to wait to get out, I might be wrong, but That's what I recall, This is the Best I have ever heard from Nova, she has excelled lots, good reaction !!

Nova had her own record deal with Mercury record, who turned into Island records, who then turned into Def Jam records.. She had a bad experience with her record lable. Shes definitely a talented lady, writting poetry, songs, creating filming, and directing music videos. I agree Nova could definitely shake it up for lady rappers. Check out Nova's Scared of hieghts album from 2021.
Nova got screwed over hard by labels her whole career and didn't start opening up again until Tom started giving her features. I think she feels most comfortable as the video director.
