- Testing the new CZ600 Trail with affordable ammo to see if it is 2MOA at the least.. Interesting results came from this test, be sure to watch the whole way through. This rifle is easily capable of less than 1 MOA with good ammo. I tested the more affordable 55gr ammo and nothing else. Next i will be testing heavier and better brands of ammo.

The CZ600 series have a 1/7 Twist, that actually means bullets from 62 to 77 Grain should be more accurate.
All the ammo that costs as much as 308
Finally a proper test with ammunition that people will actually use.
Not much accuracy going on. No one shoots 55 grain ar food for anything accurate.
CZ needs to do more to support this gun. The gun needs a right-side cheekpiece for leftys and hot swaps to shoot around barricades. I got the 7.62x39 version. Hornady Sub-X 255gr subsonic hunting loads are quite discrete with a can.
Thanks dude for the accuracy video. Funny, the Hornady Frontier 223 Rem 55 gr boat tail works for me the best in my CZ 527 as far as accuracy at 100 yards. Rest of the brands.... well, not wasting money on them.
The CZ 527 has a thread pitch that prefers 55gr ammunition, and the CZ600 Trail has a 1:7" thread pitch, which means that the 55gr amo will not fly well from such a barrel. The CZ 600 Trail is recommended for 68-77gr ammo...
1:7 will group 55gr well, but the 62 and up will do a small bit better depending on brand. Im not sure 77gr will work in the Pmag. but i may be wrong. I think it may be COAL may be too big for the mag.. again, i may be off on this info.
@@piotrkrainski992 you mean twist rate.
Light bullets will still shoot good from a fast twist, heavy bullets will not stabilize in a slow twist.
nice video 👍
I like that thing bro!
Me too! It’s a fantastic rifle! Easily 1 MOA with good ammo
Australian viewer here, i get sub 1 MOA with ADI 55gr ammunition.
Every time?
3 shot groups don't count.
@@NelsonZAPTM im a professional kangaroo shooter, so i only ever get one shot. and it must be a headshot each time. Haven't missed the mark yet and its working just fine. Only issue i do come across more often than not is the misfires, unsure if its the ammo or if its the rifle.
as a sr i enjoy shooting bench rest . im recoli sensitive and enjoy s/a bench . thanks for the show.
Thank you for watching! I will say on the bench, this cheek piece will grab your ear muffs when you come off the rifle, but other that that, its that bad to bench this rifle.
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel thank you.
@@ratroddiesels1981 I meant to type, its NOT that bad to bench this rifle. Ill have another video on accuracy once i buy more veriaty of ammo.
My cz 527 in 7.62x39 I shoot sub moa with S&B soft points
You convinced me that I don’t want one now 😮
I did tested this rifle with Sellier&Bellot match 52gr, 69gr and 77gr. 52 and 77 were the best, under 1 MOA easy.
You should post a video if you can get better than 2 inches for a five shot group from the trail.
@@NelsonZAPTMmy son shot 4 rounds, his first time ever with that rifle, 52gr HPBT S&B 0.65 MOA. That rifle is tricky to shoot, because that telescopic rear stock. I did find that pull the slack off, it shoot best.
@@PassionforRifles I don't not believe you, I'd just like to see that.
Bloke on the range has a competition to shoot a 10 shot moa group.
You should enter.
I am.
All the best.
@@NelsonZAPTM look the video
A bit of hand loading experimentation should do the trick.
Do you still have dented cases? It would be crap for reloading
It’s still a thing, but I don’t reload. But again, I’ve had mini 14 rifles would do the same.
Dented case effecting POI ? Looks like you're on to something with 556
I’m gonna contact CZ and ask about the dented cases. It may be a big assumption on my part to think that might cause consistency issues with groupings, but I’m spit balling at this point.
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel those cases are easily found but I wouldn't want a rifle tearing up my brass, hard to tell from vid, but as a reloader I would think there is some difference in case volume but may or may not effect accuracy, looking forward to hearing what they say and seeing if any other rifles are causing same damage
Wish CZ offered a 6.5 grendel chambering in the 600. If they did I’d be all over it. Thanks for sharing your CZ600 experience with us!
im sure if this rifle sells well, they will be offering more options in the platform.
How come nobody has a video about the x39 version?! That's the one i'm interested in.
Because it only recently came out. The 223/556 came out first
It is much superior IMO. I got one and it is surprisingly accurate with steel-cased ammo. Now that Hornady is making a subsonic 255gr 7.62x39 hunting load .300BO is a one-trick-pony.
Check your m-lok screws on your front hand grip are not touching the barrel!! I’ve seen sub MOA with this rifle.
All screws have been ground down so as to not make contact. I know this rifle is capable of sub MOA with better ammo. This was just an accuracy potential test with basic range ammo. I do test like these to give a realistic approach to what the average person would do at the range. The follow up video will be done with a multitude of grain weights and brands of ammo to really show what it can do.
I'm calling you on that.
When did a cz600 trail ever shoot sub moa?
3 shot groups don't count.
My Weatherby vanguard is 1 moa with PMC bronze 223 55 gr. I consistent hit target out to 600 yards. I think this CZ trail just bad.
Wonder what kind of compact stocks you could get for your Vanguard. You already have 10 round mags for it, as well as a 16.25 inch barrel version (might be howa brand instead)
I wonder how much it would be to make your own Trail
@@J.sh_CDN probably a little over $1400 Brownells has the barrel action for sale $450 pick a chassis of your choice given you don’t go Gucci MDT. And a magazine. I know Trail has a cool niche but their barrel is proprietary and that negates after market barrel. I just am not into sacrificing accuracy for tacticool factor
I'm not sure why the trail model would be less accurate than the other models. Maybe the barrel is thinner and more flexible? Regardless I've handled one of these and I definitely want one.
I’d say the Polymer chassis is the culprit
@@crazyengineer1992 seems like CZ could have alleviated that with some aluminum similar to the Savage accustock.
its the over all design of the rifle. The other 600 series rifles barrels are installed into the receivers in a different manner and are absolute free float which translates to better accuracy over all. They also feature steel receivers which add to the rigidity, where as the Trail has aluminum receiver. The Trail has the m-Lok for end clamped to the base of the barrel which slightly (but not horribly) hinders the accuracy a little. Also, CZ states that the 2MOA guarantee is due to the fact that most shooters of the 7.62x39 variation will be using cheap steel cased ammo.
I know you're not shooting a true precision gun here, but you should try leaving the action open in between shoots as long as possible so the chamber has a chance to cool off before you load another round. That extra heat from a spent case staying in the chamber, and the heat from the charge is enough to heat up the powder for the following round and can cause some rounds to fly on you, by burning powder too quick.
JUST FYI CZ-USA HAS ISSUED A RECALL ON THE 600 SERIES OF RIFLES
Recall is because improper barrel swapping can cause catastrophic malfunctions do to improper head spacing with changing the barrel wrong. They didnt even sell the barrels separately before the recall. Recall is moot now.
It's history... a childhood disease... now everything is ok and production is in full swing...
Who does and "accuracy" review online with 55 grain junk ar food.
Really unsatisfactory results.
Oh no! If you use 556 in a 223 youll blow yourself up! Jk
Wait why are you putting 5.56 through this rifle when it's only chambered for .223?
CZ has clarified that all US based customers with rifles chambered in 223 can shoot 556
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel That’s great to know. I was concerned it was only a .223 rifle. They should update the spec page on their usa site.
Nice looking rifle. Haven't seen a you tube where it shoots any good though.
