Very nice rifle for close range work . Got few different rides on my channel with iron switch to low mount optics. 3x9x40 that i keep turn down to 3 or 4x for under 50yard shoots on game lands. Look for 1-6x for my other rifle.
No problem. I had the same issue. Hardly any bolt actions come with a front or rear sight. Was so glad to find this Savage. I put 3 Deer in the freezer with it last Monday. It’s a great shooting rifle !!
I have the same gun and 350 legend and I have a lot of issues with it feeding. I can’t make it through a magazine without it having some sort of malfunction. I think this is because of the spring and the magazine and also the catch that holds the magazine has too much play allowing the bolt to push the magazine down just enough to where it can’t get a good grip on the cartridge
Its the magazine that came with. Not an AR one. I had a Ruger American before this and just loathed the mag on that rifle. It stuck out, wouldn’t feed right etc was an accurate gun though. The main reasons I got this savage was the flush mount magazine and factory iron sights. It’s an accurate little deer slayer. Really glad I made that decision.
I guess both of mine were lemons. Got two of them brand new picked it because 1) Free floating barrel, 2) synthetic stock, 3) iron sights 4) internal magazine. 4) suppressor ready. 1) out of the box both failed to fire 4 different ammo, light primer strikes. 2) a shotgun has better accuracy. 3) worse feature the internal magazine can allow s shell to go left of magazine and lodge between the stock and mag well.
Sorry to hear that. Mine has been an amazing rifle. Took 6 deer with it this year between my son and I. Never had any of those issues. Accurate as they come too.
We need more rifles with open sights
Yeah I won't buy a rifle without them and that's tough nowadays
I wish savage would put iron sights on there Axis rifles,,,, Make it Standard!!!

That's a nice looking rifle.
Thank you !!
Thanks for making the video. I'm going to have to grab one.

I got the older model without the detachable magazine. Wish mine had the detachable magazine!
How you liking yours ?
My deer season starts in 9 days. I ended up putting a holosun red dot on this. Looks like a gnarly scout rifle now.
Got the older model in 223. Love it
Thanks

What magazines fit this model?
