in this video we review the CZ600 Alpha Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.
this rifle has a lot going for it, and a few things to keep in consideration if you are looking to pick one up,
WHY the CZ600 alpha?
-controlled round feed
-great adjustable trigger
-smooth action
60 degree bolt throw (nice!)
-heavy barrel (could be a plus or a minus)
-accurate
-integrated partial picatinny rail
detacheable magazine / locking magazine
WHY NOT the CZ600 Alpha...
-proprietary action
-basically non existing aftermarket support (its still new give it time)
a quick change barrel system that you aren't supposed to use :(
-aluminum receiver (not that bad as a 20 000 round service life just maybe not for the pro shooter (the 600 range has a steel receiver tho)
a heavy barrel on a hunting rifle.... (it woudnt be that bad if you could upgrade the stock later
Stock isn't free floated
so as mentioned its not perfect but its a great reliable and accurate rifle some of the main requirements for any rifle
info from he website:
The Alpha was designed as the rifle that can do it all and we guarantee it can get it done in sub-MOA style. The light-weight aluminum receiver balances the semi-heavy barrel for a combination that won’t weigh you down while being very tolerant to a wide variety of loads. Versatile, durable, and reliable, the Alpha gets it done

Greatness! Thank you for showing this, I have been waiting for the cz600 review for a long time !
thanks Link!
I love this stock. When a super lightweight aluminum lined stock comes out and aftermarket magazines, I'll invest in those as well. Mine is 6.5PRC and is a phenomenal rifle.
Have the Alpha in .223 and the Lux in .308W. Both are tack drivers, excellent triggers but not thrilled with the magazine design. Hopefully some aftermarket stocks are available soon.
Yeah wow. Had higher hopes for that as CZ makes such high quality rigs. Very surprised. But at the end of the day mate it seems like it works, reliable, do the job for any type of hunting and looks the part.
Good review, bang on about the stock fore end particularly, I put a bipod on mine, had a few shots and took it off as the fore end twists. But love the action, my alpha is in 30-06. I shouldered about 10 rifles in the local shop, and the alpha fit like a glove. But it was a really touch choice as they had an ergo, damn ugly but what a fit, and light!
The Czechs make excellent firearms, I've got one in 375 love it....
Got 3/8 moa with my 6.5 PRC with Winchester match ammo love the gun and stock except for the flexing on the forend
Weatherby Vanguard comes with the two-lug bolt, the MK5 has a nine-lug bolt, Weatherby recently introduced a six-lug bolt for their new 6.5 RPM cartridge. Nice video on this cz budget rifle. thanks to this detailed video I purchased one, thanks
if cz 600 keep barrel changing funcation , it'll definitely be good option , but cz don't , what's a pity . 7lbs may is little weight for hunting , but still acceptable . just hope a biger aftermarket in the future , prefit barrel , stock ,chassis ect
For hunting being able to load your Magazine from the top is Awesome. Thats my only gripe on my Tikka. I end up using it like a single shot rifle when hunting.
Your report is spot on as usual. Please get rid of your grandmothers green bathroom mat. Replace it with......... anything!😂😂
I’m a huge cz fan. Even compete with a 457. But it seems like they always get close to giving you exactly what you want. But then a lot is left to be desired. I’m not sure why they continuously do this.
Great review btw
thanks Fernando!
I am a fan as well of the CZ,. I recently bought CZ 600 Lux in 223, I don't think they missed anything, everything about it is better than my 527 laminate thumhole varmint in 233. It was a good review but his condescending voice at the beginning, sounded exactly like Chrysta Freeland.
Cant say im too impressed with the 600s haveing owned a 550 and 527. Decided instead on a Sauer 100 in .308. And couldn't be happier. Tried 8 different factory ammos and 6 shot under an inch at 100yrds. Bullet weights covered all the bases between 124 and 175gr.
Best caliber ever
absolutely!
Well I was told the gun wasn’t designed to support a bipod! They are warrantying the gun but she’s gonna be for sale as soon as it comes back
It had the wrong profile barrel for what it is. I got to handle it the other day. The mag lock is cool. Bolt is nice. I even did not hate the stock but it is super flimsy.
Thanks Thanks for reviewing
I've been interested in a 223 version of these. I might pick one up once there is a chassis designed for it.
I have one , it’s best rifle I ever used for accuracy
NICE Rifle & options !!
A machined 20moa integrated rail is definitely in order. This is the only thing keeping me from getting one. I'll keep eyeballing the Bergaras
Sippin a 30 pack of cold ones, smoking sinsemillia and watching your videos
lol now that's living life
And in Europe it is somewhere near 1500-1700$
Can you review the Bergara Wildness HMR?
Bro has reviewed 8 different Begaras. Pick one that's like yours, all the barrels are practically the same thing. What do you expect? That one shoots 5moa and another shoots .0025th moa??
Thank you! Got me to subscribe!!
Great presentation of INFO!!! AND FOOTAGE OF THE THING YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!!
You make ot about the gun!! And stuff about his gun!!! And not all about yourself. no offense!! Just that when we are looking for a review we don't always want a Performance just info!!!
Seams like you and i got similar results, though mine is 6.5prc
I'd rather have a 527 with it's set trigger with those caliber's
You should shoot 143gr ELDX bullets. You will get sub 1/2 MOA.
From this rifle?
He said he got .47 moa, that would be sub 1/2 moa
So, you are guaranteeing every 6.5 Creedmoor will give 1/2 MOA with that load?
Sir, after watching your review of this rifle and the review on the CVA Cascade 6.5 Creedmore, if you had to purchase one or the other, which would you go with? They both seem like solid choices.
@@GhostRider-kw7zi both are quite nice, and I'd say about equal in almost all aspects. As the rest is negligible I'd go based on Wright from the 2.
Where is the “out of five” scoreboard and steel shooting?? Lekker video Bud!
Did i come here for a CZ and leaving with a Mossberg?
I have this in 24 inch bull barrel .308
Bought one in 308 , shot very well until the front stud where my bipod was attached snapped off on the tenth shot!! The stud is just molded into the stock no screw, very flimsy! See what CZ has to say
Keep us posted on what they do plz
Are these worth the 400$ asking price?
In short; yes

just bought the 300 Win Mag, on the recall do I need to pull the stock off and check if the red glue has been applied ? If so keep it and if not send it back ?. To be honest I just delt with CZ on an issue with a CZ Bren 2Ms and the customer service was TERRIBLE. They said they management would reach back to me which has never happened over several emails and months.
From what ive been told the recall isn't technically a safely issue. It's just to hinder you tonchange the barrel. As they think it would be a potential safety issue if someone did it wrong
CZ 600 MDT is coming out some time from CZ
yep, i wanted to discuss it with CZ but literally they ignored me at every time i went to their booth at shot show
I am so sorry but thank you for your videos and hard work you are truly awesome sir. @@EpikArms
You mind if I ask what height those scope rings are? I have a 5-25x56 scope and Im trying to make sure I get the right height for the scope to clear the barrel. Thank you sir.
I liked all the innovative features on this rifle but questioned the cheap plastic bolt release. I bought one, and of course, the cheap plastic bolt release is now jammed half way down after only a few rounds.
Picked one up a couple of weeks ago at a local gun store. Couldn't believe how front heavy the rifle was. Bolt handle looks like something off a piece of machinery more than a rifle. Looks nice but couldn't get past how off balance the weight is. Even the current 100 dollar rebate didn't make me take it home. Will have look for one of the models with a more traditional barrel profile. Wouldn't want to carry this one around the woods.
Aluminium touching steel. What could go wrong.
Tell me I am having problem with my first rifle .. I want to hunt but also shoot long range .. CZ 600 Alpha or Ruger American Predator .. (6.5 Creedmoor ofc) in my country both are same price
why there is no any view of left side of the rifle?
The way cz has been dropping different models lately, and the change of design with the barrels of the 600 and also lack of aftermarket support all screams company in distress and having financial issues. I wouldn't touch one till they been out for 3years at least. See ware things go.
What scope and ring height were you using?
EPIK ARMS tell me please. Does the CZ 600 bolt lock in the barrel? I understood correctly?
Average of 1.17 MOA for a heavy barreled rifle is excellent? Take out the one really good group and it doesn't seem to be super great TBH.
He was shooting very light bullets. With 143gr eldx bullets handloaded, this rifle does 1/4 MOA 5 shot groups, not 3.
@@xxtwattwafflexx1 That one in particular? Either way, too bad it sucked pretty hard with other weights. Least it likes something.
@Joel Odjick I have a 600 Alpha. With 143gr ELDX, H4350 powder and Peterson Brass, this rifle shoots 1/4 MOA. I wish I could post pics as proof, no bullsh*t.
I'll keep my 527
It's a pity that I didn't see your video earlier, I already made a payment to the store for CZ 600 308 win
reviews that they are not good!
Or until it's too late to demand a refund, what do you think?
Ask for a in store credit its likely all the same for the store. A sale is a sale
What happened? Did you end up getting the rifle or no?
Would the Ergo stock fit it?
It should from what ive read as they are the same action
The Mark 5 is a 9 lug
9 lug in the magnum chamberings …6 lug in regular chamberings…also a 1lb difference in the weight of the two rifles because of the difference in action size
@@scotteger6271 I have never owned a non Weatherby mag in a Mark V, but it was a smart move for Weatherby to start chambering them in non-Wby cartridges.
Hi! I have owned the same I'm tired of looking for stock (wood preferred) any thoughts?
Boyds
I want to see you use that safety... in -20C while wearing giant gloves haha
Lol I literally never though about that lol. I avoid those -20 days!
did he said greatest cartr . 6.5?
Literally!
I left as soon as he said greatest caliber ever is a 6.5 Creedmoor.😂😂😂
Lol with that username: @user-qd6cx7yb2z we know your a plant from Winchester to disparage the greatest caliber ever made! Winchester still wants us to beleive .308 Winchester is the best.... nice try Mr Winchester!!
308 4 Life. 😂
🙂👍
big step backwards... cz 527 was, and is still better.
I agree, and for 1000$ Cnd you can add a few hundred bucks more for a TX3 or X-Bolt that shoots way better.
🙂💥💥💥💥
You really need to get off of your 6.5 creedmoor bandwagon. It's a good cartridge but far from the greatest of all. Yes, I do have a 6.5 creedmoor as well as 3 other 6.5 cartridges, including the PRC and Grendel. Your Chanel would be less boring if you weren't STUCK on one overly hyped cartridge. Also, I do have the CZ 600 Alpha as well as a few dozen other rifles in at least a dozen other cartridges. The monotony on your channel is becoming more than I can stand.
I would just add it does create consistency across rifle reviews for a more “apples to apples” comparison.
@Chad Cooper I have two 6.5 Grendel rifles. One is consistently accurate with a variety of loads and the other is a little more picky. Same for the two 7mm-08 rifles that I have so I'm not sure about that argument. Have several 5.56 and 223 rifles and one shoots just about anything 62 grains and heavier sub MOA and another shoots 55 grain ammo good but prefers heavier loads. One of my 308 rifles has the same point of impact for almost all 168 grain loads that I've tried except for Browning ammo which still groups sub MOA but impacts about 2 inches high and a little right. Js
hi Tawier, thanks for the feedback, yes id love to get more rifles in different calibers. the problem with that is the massive amunition cost related to that, wile if i buy all rifle to review in 6.5 then i pretty much only need to keep 10 different brand of 6.5 creedmore match ammunition's brand on hand. while if it did 6mm/ 243. 30-06, and every other than it would be 10 different brand of match ammo for each different caliber. also for comparisons sake it makes it as chad mentioned apples to apples. some would say .308 isnt as "inherently" accurate as 6.5 creed. personally I'm not sure about that but id rather keep my variables down. and the 6.5 comment is more of a joke lol. again I do appreciate hearing the feedback
You sound JELLY AF. 6.5meme is a great round and in my opinion, what .308 should have been. I'm hoping 6.8Fury takes off and replaces both.
If your doing everything out your own pocket 6.5 creed n 308 are the only 2 cartridges that make sense for price of ammo and ammo availability so keep doing what ya do my man enjoy your content.
Does the CZ 600 Alpha use ACIS mags? I didn't find any information about what magazines they use on CZ's website or anywhere that sells these.
It uses proprietary mags
