Magnificent Barker-Bark! *Thank You Mike* for the lovely harbor tour! That "gun-metal" haze off in the distance said "nasty storm" to me - hope you didn't encounter bad weather out on the water. _Blessings & Joy Boat Friends!!_ 😊💜
The Barker's distinctive horns are something reminiscent of the doorbell one would hear on the old black and white Adam's Family or Munster's TV shows. One doesn't unhear or forget the Barker's horns.

@@vibewithmike Thanks for the old Adam's Family doorbell link. It brings back memories. It would be so cool if the Barker could modify its horns to a decibel level that would register on the Richter scale. 🤓
You are correct. I have my thermostat set at 82 degrees in my house at Casa Grande, AZ. 82 is great. I have 3 floor fans going. I have found that I can save money and increase comfort if I can keep the air moving. Of course, the humidity is only 10%. I know what it is like. I originally hail from NE South Dakota. However, with that said, I have no issues trading places with someone in London or Paris for a week.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣⛴️👍
Hey Mike - missed the live stream because we were at the Brewer game in Milwaukee. Love your comment regarding the A/C! As a former Duluth resident, you hit the nail on the head!! Awesome commentary on the Barker too!! Been there, and miss that so much! Can't thank you enough for giving us the experience!!❤
Brewers game? That’s awesome! I’m a big baseball historian and fan. One of my favorite Brewers of all time, Robin Yount! And you can’t discount Prince and one of our own from Minnesota, Paul Molitor.
I’ve been in Milwaukee a few times. There’s actually a really good Mexican restaurant down by the water. I forgot what part of town it is maybe 6 blocks from the lake. I think it’s Bonitas or something. It was so good.
Wife and I recently spent a few days in a Canal Park Motel. While we see plenty of Cargo and Bulker ships in Baltimore Harbor, NOTHNG compares to the sheer power and majesty of the largest Lakers. We saw the Masabi Miner sail in under the Ariel Lift Bridge. INCREDIBLE! A genuine BUCKET LIST EVENT indeed. Duluth is a lovely 2+ hr drive from the MSP airport. Ya’ gotta do it,,,,,,, Sam, Towson, md
@@vibewithmike you bet! Duluth is the “End of the Line” as far West (Upbound) as these huge ships can sail. There are numerous viewing spots along the 1,135 mile journey between the Eastern entrance at Port Colborne, the Great Lakes Entrance at Lock 8 of the Welland Canal and Duluth. There are local sightseeing tour boats too numerous to mention all along the journey from Port Colborne to Duluth. We have visited a bunch of these Great Lakes destinations over the years. And it had been a glorious journey. God Bless the Great Lakes. Sam, Towson,md

The Barker always has one heck of a bark and she is always fun to watch! I still smile every time I see people surf on a lake... That two tone horn is really pumping today!!! She has one of the nicest notes out there! 129.6dB is crazy haha! Very cool to see the fueling dock! Look at the smile on Dave's face! Seems like he had a blast! Have a great week bro! You’re absolutely right, it is 100% a two-tone horn. I definitely heard that yesterday.
Fantastic.
I thought you might like this one. I hope you’re having a great Wednesday night, my friend.
What an amazing horn. Great video, Mike! Thanks for sharing another beautiful ship 🚢 ❤
Wow! Those horns are the most impressive I have heard so far! Thanks Mike for the great video!
It seriously rumbled my camera and my body. It was so powerful the horn on this ship.
Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. Big boat with a huge horn.
Could we say the most beautiful place on earth, big sky? Many people think that. It’s definitely top three I believe. Hey, I hope you didn’t miss this video that was released on Friday. They combines a huge ship from the Netherlands and Jets doing tricks over Lake Superior! ua-cam.com/video/a1XVKPBfV_s/v-deo.htmlsi=muWTf5bcSFtdRifF
@@vibewithmike I saw it.
@rogerdudra178 awesome
My ears seem to be detecting that you are finally getting a tan. 😂. Great video. Always get happy when you post a new video. Thanks Mike.
Your ears would be right, my friend!🤣⛴️📣👋
Love your videos
Thank you Mike, thank you for watching the video and taking extra time to drop a comment like this. Thank you for the positivity.
Mike, I hope Duluth appreciates your boost to the local tourism! Who needs London and Paris when you can watch the Lakers coming in and out!
Thank you, Margaret! You know, it’s funny you say this, I’ve traveled all over due to my job in business over the years. Since I’ve been in Duluth, I’ve had very little interest in traveling or going anywhere else. There’s just something about Duluth that makes your heart happy I guess. However, with that said, I have no issues trading places with someone in London or Paris for a week.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣⛴️👍
Best horns I have ever heard. WOW!
That was an amazing video! I am not sure if the Barker can be beat. What a magnificent Great Lakes ship.
Thanks for watching another ship video
Hey Mike - missed the live stream because we were at the Brewer game in Milwaukee. Love your comment regarding the A/C! As a former Duluth resident, you hit the nail on the head!! Awesome commentary on the Barker too!! Been there, and miss that so much! Can't thank you enough for giving us the experience!!❤
Brewers game? That’s awesome! I’m a big baseball historian and fan. One of my favorite Brewers of all time, Robin Yount! And you can’t discount Prince and one of our own from Minnesota, Paul Molitor.
@@vibewithmike Absolutely!! My son was able to meet Paul at a meet 'n greet several years ago. Such a wonderful person. Thanks Mike!!
I’ve been in Milwaukee a few times. There’s actually a really good Mexican restaurant down by the water. I forgot what part of town it is maybe 6 blocks from the lake. I think it’s Bonitas or something. It was so good.
@@vibewithmike There are so many good Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee! I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned , but we'll keep an eye out!
@StephanieBenner-tj3xd this is the one. www.botanasoriginal.com/
Ya’ gotta do it,,,,,,,

That’s such a cool comment. It really should let people in Duluth and other Great Lakes viewing spots know how good we got it.

Barker Bark!
The Barker bark is no joke
@vibewithmike I'm hoping get up there someday. I'd love to see it in person.
Just found and joined your channel! I’m in Nashville Tennessee also on Central time ,my favorite time zone. I’ve been watching some of your videos and I really like what I’m seeing. No doubt I will be back. Stay safe.
My friend from Nashville, thank you so much for joining the channel. I really appreciate you subscribing. If there’s one ship video that I want to start you out with. It’s just one right here. Take a look at the sky and lake condition during this cold video. ua-cam.com/video/mKzamgCa6zw/v-deo.htmlsi=6VTO5VHc4W7OGsFO
That was really impressive, wish i lived there.❤
It literally is like an event within one of these ships comes through
Absolutely magnificent, that was Beastly !
To al the people of the frozen land: Enjoy youre warm weather.
Thank you Mike
(It would be nice if the Captain could make a d tour to Amsterdam....Al the car alarms in the whole city would go of)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 your comment has me cracking up! If the Captain would take that and ship to Amsterdam, I want to go with too! het betekent echt veel dat je de tijd neemt om deze schepen hier op de Grote Meren te bekijken. Ik waardeer het zeer dat u ook enkele opmerkingen achterlaat. Op een dag zal ik naar je prachtige land gaan en wat opnames maken. Tot die tijd het allerbeste voor jou en ik kijk ernaar uit om weer te praten.
Thank you for taking the effort to answer me in Dutch.
Would that be a great trip...wow !
I am sure you would like it here in my tiny country and the ships in Amsterdam and Rotterdam
Nice! 📯👍 Can’t believe the crowds on the other side there! Glad you’re enjoying the weather. About the same temp here in Toronto area, but with humidex of 104°. 🥵
There was easily 500 people on that other side. Maybe more. When I think Toronto, I don’t think 104! Wow!
I would love to be there in person, that horn is awesome
That horn is crazy loud. Hey friend! How was your Labor Day going? I hope it’s a good one. Thank you for taking time to watch the video and also taking extra time to leave a very uplifting and positive comment. I hope you don’t miss this video from a couple days ago. ua-cam.com/video/DS44B3Ououc/v-deo.htmlsi=oUvBRFqP6wyFbkwE
Haha, this one was wild.
That is unique sounding horn(s)
The horn is so powerful and it sounds like it’s something from outer space
Loved watching the JRB Come in.Nice shots of the docks .Why did they abandon the one dock? Watching the PRT come in . Just love the JRBs horn. Thanks again and it was nice to see and hear Dave. Have a great week . Hot in 😊Iowa again.😅
They definitely abandoned one of those docks. I don’t know why.
Hope its an awesome one! 📯📯
Johan, the sound of this horn is so crazy and incredible. It’s hard to describe. Someone actually said it sounds like the Addams family doorbell. I posted a reply to their comment with the actual video of the doorbell. That’s pretty hilarious. However, there’s no horn that competes with this on the Great Lakes.
@@vibewithmike Nope I think this is something to behold and feel for that matter haha! I dont remember the doorbell from the Adams family so ill go check it out! 😁
@johanvandersandt8904 here’s the Adam’s family doorbell m.ua-cam.com/video/F3CZYtld6zU/v-deo.html
@@vibewithmike Thanks for sharing bro! They have nothing on the Barker but I see what they mean haha! I never watched this version of the Adams family. I grew up with the more goth like version with Raul Julia and Angelica Houston. It was a great show!
@johanvandersandt8904 I totally forgot what that doorbell sounded like
Now that the Blough is gone she definitely has the best horns on the lakes
Looking good from down in Antioch ,Illinois
I have a feeling that you were able to hear and feel the horn from this ship all the way to Illinois
Once again, I cranked up my Bose speakers to full volume to try and simulate the experience since I can't be there in person. This always angers my wife, but what the heck!
That was awesome. That 129 decibel horn is distinctly 2 toned or 2 notes. I don’t recall that in the other horns that I’ve heard. 🤔 Very cool video thanks, Mike!
Exactly, that’s what makes this ship so unique. That horn is so different.
Amazing. I believe the captain is going on vacation so I don't know what the fill in will do.
Hey, Mary, at least we were able to get this video before the Captain went on vacation. What a show, what a powerful horn.
😄 That bar is set pretty high for the fill-in! Haha
Wowwwww what a beautiful vessel thank you mike for another great video lots of love from mike Brantford ontario canada ❤❤❤❤
Now that's how you correctly perform a master salute!! Sweet action Boat Friends!!!
Awesome video as always, Mike and the blasts from those horns was just awe inspiring!!
Rob, the captain did not hold back and let that horn blast. I wonder what it would measure on a Richter scale?
Caught up with you late night. BLAAAAAST. Hot here in KC. Good thing my son checks on the elderly. :)😅
