Interesting glue. Thanks for showing us! It seems to have a lot of benefits. No solvent needed to dilute it, just water. That is a great attribute! As always, great information. 👍
my understanding is that this glue does dry hard and stiff. it takes a while to dry though. maybe a day. It's probably good for formed leathers that have to hold a rigid shape. Maybe some shoemaker can comment.
Hi. Do you know how many pairs of shoes can I make from 1 of “Hirschkleber 600 g”. I will use it only for interior part so how much should I use per one pair ?
I would be very suspect of using this on my sheaths with out testing for at least a few months out side in the sun and in the water . I know everyone always says it makes no difference it's only there until it's all stitch up but there are so many things that can go upside down over time . The fact that it's water soluble is a red flag for me but yet there using it on shoes so it has to be stuff and stable all very suspect for me .But has everything new I will get some try it out but won't know anything for months . Happy Trails
Yes! Please we need part 2!!! Looks very useful and easy to work but the fact that it's water soluble is a really important and interesting for testing... especially with edges. The shoemaking application of that glue is one story, but for belts, wallets...bags and other sheaths... who knows?))) maybe after few raining days or even with sweat))) all the edges will have the different look... Thanks!!!
You might be on to something. If it’s water soluble then it will probably come apart if it’s soaked in water for say 10-15 minutes which would be bad for something used outdoors like a knife sheath. Makes me wonder if it’s used on shoes at all.
I just got it and because it was kinda weird was looking for how to use it in youtube… I might return it because its like it takes more time to stiff and it seems more stiff as i wanted at the end,are sure it is flexible?!? Thank you so much for your good informative video🙏
You can buy it here: amzn.to/2jGccpE

Have you tried the bond with oiled leathers? Thanks for the review.
oiled leather? oil is always not good for glue but it will be no problem oils from tanning the hide. I will let you know for sure when I try it.

Interesting. I will buy it. Also could you tell us about ogunaru leather tools?
I will in the future! Thanks!
Give me link of purchase and price and also send what else you make or deal in
Is it hide glue? Bushcrafters make it out of any type hide, deer, cow, etc... This glue also used for woodworking ex. Violins
no, This is not hide glue. This is starch based glue.
